Capello is the next Leeds boss {Ed020's Note - he was on £6mill a year for england, can't see bates forking out that sorta money.}

Believable15 Unbelievable36

Only way we might get capello is if nasty ken thinks hes been selling ice cream for the last ten years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed. Because the FA were foolish enough to pay that amount on a manager. Doesn't mean he will get that in the futre. Cappello is a club manager and never really cut out for International management. I think if the job was right he's do it for nothing. My personal opinion is he'll be heading back to Italy... I would!

Agree0 Disagree0

Capello wont be coming leeds, as the only reason he was quitting the england job after the euros was because he was retiring from football.. that was his last job

Agree0 Disagree0

And Lamberts on £3mil a year so they don't have a chance of getting him either

Agree0 Disagree0

As much chance as Grayson getting the England job LOL

I hoping luciano and ross get a run of games together up top cos they looking as if they are starting to get an understanding to how each play the game and that can only help the club in the future so lets hope this is the start of something good anyone agree?

From what I'm hearing and reading seems to me to be a 2 horse race for manager. Warnock and Redfearn. If Redfearn wins 4 games out of 4 it must be his job in my opinion. Anything less than that, Bates will probably go for Warnock. Simple.

Believable43 Unbelievable12

In his statement about giving NR 3 games bates also said he doesnt want a quick fix instead wanting someone who could build for the future ,warnock is a quick fix and even if promoted would be sacked by next xmas because he cannot manage in prem, so offering any more than a contract till may to warnock would be pointless.

Agree0 Disagree0

Then you heard wrong .Bates said he would
need the new guy and his family to live local
Warnock lives on a farm in Devon and will not move up north.

Agree0 Disagree0

What about Antic though pal? I mean the guy has great experience and would be the sort of guy that would be well respected, just like all the other old boy managers, fergie, Redknap, Trappatoni, etc etc. He could do a job for us in the prem i rekon, u think Warnock could do a job for us in the prem? lol, QPR?!

If redfearn wins the next 3 games the job is his ,read what bates says the 3 games are there for redfearn to prove he's the man for the job,it would be a bit hard not to give him it if we get results,so simple he gets results the jobs his bates has his cheap option again.

Believable20 Unbelievable4

This also means he doesnt have to go rushing into the loan market for 3 weeks either.

So Neil has been given the next 3 games, I don't think this means he is going to get the job however even if we win them as Bates stated that all 3 games are winnable, I personally think he has someone in mind and the 3 game chance given to redders is so compensation can be sorted with next managers current employers, I may be wrong but would have thought the end if the season would have been a fair shout and not sure when emergency window shuts so no one would have a chance to strengthen team until the summer, anyway just a thought wandered what you all think ? {Ed020's Note - i think your right in certain aspects, bates has his eye on someone and has given redders the go ahead for the time being whilst the formalities are sorted out, personally i feel, from what i've heard and read and been told, its warnock, he's sorting out this 1 mill compensation from qpr, and then he'll be on his way to sign up with us. the championship is his specialty after all. and i say,bring him on, he's what we need.}

Believable29 Unbelievable5

Well said I agree totally let's just hope we are right and ken doesn't throw a curve ball

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard on good authority that once Warnock has sorted his severnce with QPR he will be installed as Leeds Manager with a breif to get us in the Prem. Forget all this talk of timescales for paying certain creditors money stopping us from getting promoted, it is just rumour. Once we are in the Prem Warnock will walk off with a couple of million and Bates will sell to the highest bidder. Incedently what came of Duncan Revie's money men from The UAE ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh 100% agree with the post and eds extended comment, looks like it is to bide time for Warnock. Will be good for leeds.

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally i think Warnock would be looking too short term, that appointment to me means that promotion has to be this year for reason other than what we have been told ie for the fans. I don't agree with the ends justifying the means ie Warnock is a douche but he can get us up then sack him when he fails once again in the premiership. I'd rather have someone who can look long term at being at the club. Warnock has had a fairly good management career, although to be fair never based on instatnt success, the promotions with QPR and Shef Utd both took time especially at Shef U. If he fails this season i think the fans will turn far too easily on him, and we'd be here again by christmas! Warnock to me would feel like a reactionary appointment, not one looking to build an empire.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it will be Warnock and as much as i dont like him he has a proven track record at this level. although i have to admit i still like the look of Antic(i think thats how its spelt) He has alot of pedigree and could do something when we get into the premiership as well

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a comment about Warnock being short term, I agree but it fits nicely with selling your best young players and replacing with a host of loanees. That too is short term planning and seems to be the way Bates is operating, hopefully that means the Bates master plan is promotion on the cheap and then sell up. If that can be achieved then we would get the best of all worlds.

I know this will get replies saying irrelevant etc, but looking at the pic of NR on the OS it occurred to me......can we not have a new Manager who wears a suit on the touchline on match days? Keep the training kit for TA. A suit looks so much more professional and projects a better image for the club. We are not a sunday league side anyway. All the best managers are 'suit Managers' anyway ( maybe Martin O'Niell aside). Come on NR, get down to Moss Bros and sort it out! Btw, I agree with the decision to take our time and give NR the next 3 matches.

Believable18 Unbelievable12

I think you have got a point there I do agree. It's a little bit like clubs playing music after they have scored very small club mentality.

Agree0 Disagree0

He could wear a batman outfit for all i care lol, as long as we play well and win most of our games. MOT, Batman to the rescue.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hmmm Phil Brown wore a suit... don't think it makes that much difference as long as the coach/manager is the right person

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we need to look at the kits aswell if your running with this idea. Macron have produced more like semi-professional kits for us, compared to nike, puma and diadora (spelling) - we looked professional in the premier league, but i just take todays shirts as a bit of fun really (still have my strongbow and white and mckay and they are better)

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure a suit make all the difference but I think ur point is we need professionalism from the bench

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit cold for just a suit and no jacket isnt it?

Not confirmed but a distinct possibility that Any Iro is on trial with Leeds and is training with the Club, he is available for free and is close friends with Robbie Rogers he is currently in the Leeds & plays at CB.

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Sorry original here poster thats Andy Iro and not Any Iro!

So glad he has ruled out sven, i reckon sven thought he had a big chance too lol. Bruce or sven in charge of our club....could u imagine. Warnock will be in charge in 3 weeks, until then good luck redfeard, I will be there on saturday cheering the lads, MOT.

Believable16 Unbelievable4

I agree - no club should want Sven. He'd destroy what little we have left.

Lets pack out elland road saturday and leave all the negativity outside the ground and lets keep it that way we need to get behind nr and the players from the first minute of the game and beyond we need to make elland road a fortress the way it use to be and should be some come on fellow leeds fans lets show the rest of the football world why we are the best fans in the world mot?

Believable38 Unbelievable3

The best comment/status I've seen on here for some time, Very well said pal.....MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry to say this, but i am not spending money whilst Bates' is in charge. He has enough of my money as it is

Agree0 Disagree0

To some extent I agree and it hurts... but I'm not paying good money for a 'wing and a prayers chance' of a dream come true. Bates is just sucking you in and giving you false hope. The only way he will take note is if attendances go DOWN. Dont fancy KB wallowing in my money and watching a half baked team get thrashed 4-1 every week. We didnt really do that well against Bristol who only had 9 men on the pitch. 'NO PAIN, NO GAIN' Stop clutching straws and false hopes. Send him a message with empty seats

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree.

Agree0 Disagree0

And how do you think you can pack the ground out on saturday?

Just Speculation but maybe the announcement that Redfearn will be in charge for at least the next 4 games may pave way for Warnock to resolve his contractual situation at QPR. I personally think Redfearn should have until the end of the season but we will see how the team is performing and whether they will continue to win under him.

Readfern to get the job for at least the next 3 games confirmed by papa smurf on yorkshire radio mot without bates?

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Thats a No Brainer. He was never gonna go out and splash the cash on anything decent. He wont as long as we still attend and fill seats. Hes floggin a crap car until it breaks down and your just giving him fuel and mileage by attending and living the dream. It hurts but stay away if you love Leeds

So Leeds are NOT going to appoint a Manager for at least 3 weeks !!
Redders will be in charge till at least then, However our next 3 games we should win them anyway regardless who's in charge.
What will Happen when the Emergency Loan Window opens, Will we get anybody in ??
I'd rather have Warnock in but still let's see what happens Gj

Believable21 Unbelievable0

Agree0 Disagree0

You Might just have something there mate, That is probably.
I hate Warnock But think he will come here and do a good job Gj

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi, a person here, could someone please explain the emergency loan thing.
I have a rough idea of what an emergency is, so how does it apply to a club with the number of players in the squad that Leeds have?
I concede that there are not enough decent defenders, but this is hardly grounds for it being an emergency, it has been this way for at least three or four years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Clubs in the Football League can sign players on loan outside of the transfer window following a seven-day period after the transfer window closed on 31 January until 1700 GMT on Thursday, 24 March.

Leeds have approached BFC for permission to speak to Holloway

Believable10 Unbelievable26

Absolute rubbish. We are allowed to get managers from places other than Blackpool FC... guessing the next rumour will be Grayson is going back to Blackpool and Holloway is coming to us.... YAWN!! Capello might be available soon as well, so I'd officially like to start the rumour that Capello wants to manage Leeds United!?!

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance mate. Only one person getting the job and thats Redfearn. The web site
is full of leeds players saying how much
they want Redfearn. Who ultimately
controls the web site...Bates. Its to soften the fans up when he is appointed, so he can say ..its what the players want. Nothing to do with him being on £5 hour whatsoever.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think redfearn should be given the chance to prove himself but personally can't see it as they are taking too long in the search for a new manager for them just to turn round and give him it now so i expect someone like davies to take over not too old like antic and not too young and inexperienced

Agree0 Disagree0

O/S says Redfern in charge for next 3 to 4 games, so forget any quick appointment, gives Harvey to get back from his hols

Agree0 Disagree0

Any manager who is in a job already will need to have his head looked at if he goes for the Leeds job.
