I think Warnock has lots of work to do before we are decent enough to go up as most of the players that played today will still be under contract next season. We need a brand new defence, midfield and front line as Beechio and McCormack are not quick enough for Warnocks style of play. We need a complete clear out so NW can get players who will play his way and are good enough for Leeds Utd. Hope Bates is ready to spend. I think that Snograss, Clayton and the rest who think there good enough should be sold to raise funds for a new team.

Believable6 Unbelievable16

How annoying norwich midfield two howson and johnson playing well and beating spurs in the premier league why didn't we give these lads the contracts they deserved we are left with carp like michael brown, ramon nunez and danny pugh we are a joke club who's run by idiots who don't care about the fans or the club we are going no where with this regime and i don't blame the current manager or sg for this mess we're in these idiots got rid of all are best players

Agree0 Disagree0

Second post, that makes sense did you not hear the post match interview, premiership club can knocking not because of the contracts offered. Oh and who signed Pugh, brown, Nunez! And you don't want to blame SG

Agree0 Disagree0

Grayson signed these players as they were the best available for the money bates would give him so blame bates.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, I totally agree that we need a clear out, and a new set of players who are aggressive, quick and hungry. I just hope however, that NW isn't forced (as a result of lack of sufficient funds) to use an entire team of ageing 32+ players.
You can't make financial profit with a set of average players. Substantial investment is needed, or fans will just stop coming to the ground to watch.

Agree0 Disagree0

We will never be good again....money talks unfortunately and Ken wont spend any.

Agree0 Disagree0

McCormack is one of the best strikers in the league, just wanted to get that across as he can't be compared to becchio!

Warnock has stated that many of his players know they won't be there next season.

If Warnock and Bates don't pull their fingers out I know a few thousand other people who won't be there next season either......

If you ain't going to play these players next season, give the youngsters a chance, we have absolutely NOTHING to win OR lose now.....

Believable24 Unbelievable2

I think next year we could see an attendance drop under 15K with the crap we have. I like the fact that Warnock has told them if they dont get their acts together they will be gone but he needs money to back that up or hes gonna look a right arse to fans and players alike. I just dont see Bates backing him to the extent some people think. I wont be going next year because of Bates hes a robbing old b**tard. If he comes up with something and explains his long term goals for Leeds then i might change my mind.

We are the worst most pathetic team in the Championship, this group of players are going a great job in making themselves look like a bunch of amateurs. Im finding it hard to support the club at the moment and won't be going back to Elland road this season. NW has been appalling with the same group of players as Grayson. We would have got relegated with him as manager if he'd come 10 games earlier in the season. Worst Leeds side I have ever seen. God help him next season...he's no miracle worker we've seen that from the garbage performances we've seen since he's taken over. He is only going to be able to bring in 5-6 player's so I fear for us next season. Please prove me wrong Warnock and show some evidence you are the right man for this job. Grayson we thank you for getting us safe and past the 40 point mark with this bunch of jokers!!!

Believable15 Unbelievable15

If he'd come in 10 games earlier it wouldve been before January transfer window, so maybe not.

Agree0 Disagree0

Woooaahhhh hold up a minute you lot. Neil warnock is doing well with the team he has, realistically even when warnock was appointed we all knew as leeds fans this wasnt our season. The seasons over now it doesnt matter the results anymore. All that matters is warnock sees our team is appalling and knows what needs to be done next season. With sg if he was in this position he wouldnt offer our players new contracts worth signing hed simply let them walk. I honestly believe next season we will go up. HAVE FAITH MOT!

Agree0 Disagree0

Would they be the jokers Grayson signed you are thanking him for ??

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't matter who's the manager as long as Batescum's still in charge.

Agree0 Disagree0

What people forget, is that a lot of the players SG signed were in League 1 and they did the job required. You cannot blame him for the players being sold,BJ,JH,MG etc. We were told that NW was being brought in to get more out of the current players and push for promotion, clearly he has not delivered. Lets hope he can bring the players in for his style of football for next season, but lets not keep blaming SG.

Agree0 Disagree0

5-6 players would change our team massively as the likes of Snodgrass would look interested again and play to their potential and Clayton & McCormack will look better players with quality around them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock wasn't really brought in to get us up this season - that was never on the cards. He was brought in so that he got an extra 6 months to get the team ready for promotion next season, rather than just the summer. This gives him extra time to get him and his staff settled in, he can get the players he will keep used to him and his training methods etc., so that by August, LUFC will be a force to be reckoned with.

Well, to be honest I'm not surprised by today's result. I think NW has made it clear over the last few weeks that most of the players will be surplus to requirements when the transfer window opens so its pretty obvious none of them want to play for him, there's no passion and no desire just basially turning up for wages! SG put together a large and pretty much average squad ( I know KB didn't give him much money) but there are some managers out there that get good squads with little money, SG wasn't one of them and although I liked him because he was a leeds fan I think he got too long without getting us anywhere and he really could not sort out a defence to save his life!
I think NW has a big job ahead, but I doubt very much he would have taken the job without reassurances he would get decent money to spend so Im happy to let this season go as a dead loss and back him all the way next!

I totally disagree with this post mate im afraid! firstly you say SG put an average squad together lets not forget the team we have at the minute is not the squad SG put together. Kasper, Gradel, Johnosn, Kilkenny and even the odd loanee - Lichaj spring to mind - they were SG players but Bates insisted on cashing in on them! it's neither NW or SG's fault i think it's bates' who's the toxic!

and alos how can you say SG didnt take us anywhere?! have you forgot he got us promoted (yes he made hard work of it but he managed to get us up) and then a 7th place finish in the Championship at the first time of asking!

come off it mate, SG at one point built up a pretty good squad and took us far with it too! i'm fully behind NW and his plans for the summer though.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know SG team couldnt defend, but have you seen tactical genius NW defence,i have mates who support derby and forest and they say they have not had easier games for years.
think we are all dreaming if we think we are looking at top of table next year.

Agree0 Disagree0

"7th place finish in the Championship at the first time of asking!"

While I do agree with the principle of your point, Norwich got 2nd place with a squad that wasn't as strong as ours - it's all down to management.

Leeds to sign Jamie Mackie from QPR. Excellent signing if true!

Some good news: Neil Warnock has told Adam Clayton, Robert Snodgrass and Ross McCormack that they will not be part of his summer clearance. Also, Aidy White and Darren O'Dea are expected to sign new contracts in the summer. Hopefully we'll sign Robbo at LB, Clint Hill at CB, and the heavily linked Pompy defender Jason Pearce at the other CB spot, Shaun Derry at CDM, Bradley Orr (highly doubt it as he is a new signing for Blackburn) and Paddy Kenny can f**k off. Lonners is ten times better and if we sign Kenny I will be hugely dissapointed, and I'm sure most of us Leeds fans will feel the same.

Believable19 Unbelievable10

I don't agree that Lonergan is better than Kenny. He's been consistently poor all season. He'd be okay as a No.2, I think Kenny would be an improvement in that position.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive said time and again that while kenny might be a better keeper its not a ground breaking improvement and for the money that we will have to spend there are far more urgent positions than 1st choice keeper to sort out like CB, RB and CAM, and if we really will have money Lb as well

Agree0 Disagree0

Kenny play great against man u yesterday if qpr stay up why would he drop to championship?

Agree0 Disagree0

Derry has no place on our team. People moan about Grayson getting old timers in instead of young talent on one hand, but then call for Derry to come back. He blew it for me when he told Palace about our team. Once a traitor, always a traitor.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kenny was voted keeper of the year last year. Lonergan got relegated

Agree0 Disagree0

Andy lonergan is a joker! hes crap and flaps at everything! have you actually watched kenny or indeed lonergan this season? mccarthy is the best keeper weve had and that muppet grayson let him go. another howler from mr average

Agree0 Disagree0

"He's been consistently poor all season"

No he hasn't. He's had a handful of bad games, but that's about it. He's been one of our more consistent players this season, along with Snoddy and Clayton. Are you sure you're talking about the right person?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lonergan has made some match winning saves this season, and yes, he has made a few howlers. paddy kenny will probably be on about 15k a week which i imagine we can only afford for 1 maybe 2 of our BEST players, e.g snoddy. not a goalkeeper

Agree0 Disagree0

Reading loaned us mac for match fitness reasons on their part. They said they would never sell him to us so you can't blame larry for that one!
Lonners has been no worse than Casper last season but could have done better. I think a lack of confidence in the players in front of him to protect certain areas in the box is a massive reason for criticism levelled at him

Agree0 Disagree0

I think if reading go up,we should go for mccarthy, our defence looked happier with him behind them when he played for us ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Would defo like McCarthy in for next season
with Lonnergan as backup
Dont want a load of QPR cast offs like Ferdinand or Gabbidon.
Cannot see Derry back as Brown is the contracted "grit"
See how good NW is as he would need to completely rebuild the team/squad. Malky McKay has managed it this season with little money !

Agree0 Disagree0

"Lonergan got relegated"

If the only good player in a team is the goalkeeper, the team will still get relegated. That doesn't make the keeper bad.
