Sunday Mirror reporting that club is struggling to get Roofe to sign a new contract and as word has got out, Premiership clubs circling for January.

If there is a good offer for him early in Jan, not the end of the world depending how the money is used and if Bamford is available. Wouldn’t be the end of the world.

04 Nov 2018 16:16:42
It's rubbish. It's leeds that having put a deal togeather yet.

04 Nov 2018 17:54:42
His contract runs till 2020, don't think there's much chance of him leaving, especially to the clubs that are supposedly after him.

04 Nov 2018 19:52:15
10 mill and he has to go . that's business and he's not.

05 Nov 2018 15:23:10
£10M? don't think Radz would even sit back and contemplate it . £20M and then maybe negotiations would start.

05 Nov 2018 15:59:49
Christ AL, Roofe is pretty good, but for £20m I would want the Pontiff wearing Adidas Samba up front with his old man in our number one shirt.

05 Nov 2018 17:16:07
Depends on whether Radz wants to keep him. If he's willing to let him go, and probably Bub as well, then might as well take £10M. On the other hand, if we want him to stay then at least £20M to open negotiations. They're PL clubs supposedly after him, make them pay through the nose.

With Ayling out for two months, can we call Coyle back from Fleetwood, surely a better option than Dallas?

30 Oct 2018 12:19:25
Depends if he had a recall clause or is a full season long loan, remember man city tried to recall joe Hart from a loan at Brum years ago but he was on a season long loan and Brum refused to allow him back until the loan was up.

30 Oct 2018 18:04:14
Isn't he on a till January loan?

30 Oct 2018 20:40:41
Yes he’s on a loan until Jan, but that’s when Ayling is hoping to be ready again!

30 Oct 2018 22:13:55
We should recall him anyway, just to spite Joey.

31 Oct 2018 09:00:29
Oh no Ayling out for two months and no decent replacement just when you think it can’t get any worse, it has to be Leeds United.

31 Oct 2018 11:58:54
Not so bad. We have 11 players who can play that role, as bielsa Saud there are 11 attackers 11 midfielders and 11 defenders it's called a team effort so stop drama queening.

03 Nov 2018 21:01:39
We will see Martyn but feel he’s a big loss.

03 Nov 2018 21:04:45
LFFC, no need to Martyn said we have 11 who can play in that role, and stop drama queening!

03 Nov 2018 21:18:01
Martyn, don’t make a drama out of a statement mate, I happen to think he will be a big loss, simple, can’t even say what you think on here without someone getting there nickers in a twist.

26 Oct 2018 20:50:24
Watching the QPR and Villa game. pretty poor to be honest . Wondering how long they will give smith as their new manager if they don't improve. 3-1 to Leeds against Forest is my prediction. Oh and a bench spot for Saiz.

25 Oct 2018 23:45:38
Starting to agree with the "Saiz needs a rest" camp. He has looked a little off it these past few games. He is on of these that you complain about for a large part of the game then he conjures up some brilliance that not many could master and you are left with egg on the face, but, with Forshaw showing fine form in cameos now is a good a time as any to let the maestro rest.

26 Oct 2018 09:31:22
I’m beginning to agree too. Saiz is brilliant on his day, amazing, but Forshaw looks good too, particularly when he came on the other day. Give him a crack.

26 Oct 2018 12:07:34
I think the answer might be for him to share a shift with Forshaw as Bielsa is starting to do now. A shame for him not to have a bit more time playing with Hernandez after shouldering the burden without him.

Don’t think we have anyone like him in the team with as much trickery .

26 Oct 2018 15:19:49
How many games has Saiz actually missed so far this season?

26 Oct 2018 18:26:20
Hasn’t missed any league games has he?

25 Oct 2018 23:22:01
With all the injuries, lack of form, change of formation and then all the young up and comings, I am starting to feel a little sorry for (the forgotten man) Lewis Baker. Not seeing a glimpse of daylight and not even a mention. In MB we trust so if he thinks we we do not need him then so be it but like Ideguchi before him he goes down in the, what if and if only, columns.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Oct 2018 09:10:11
I think Baker still adds to the squad, seen him on under 23 duty and around the first team squad and he is always very professional, hard working and keen to help the younger kids. He is useful to have around, but as Forshaw has got his fitness back his role has diminished a bit. Klich beats him as sammy sub and Forshaw as KP sub.

26 Oct 2018 15:21:16
Some here weren’t that impressed with some of his early form - maybe still a bit green but it’s up to him to force hos way into the squad if he is good enough. If not do we really want him in there anyway? Football should not be about sentiment.

23 Oct 2018 21:56:37
Results were kind of kind to us tonight. Hoping for a win and at least 2nd this time tomorrow night. Bring it on. See you at the cathedral tomorrow night. Bring it on. MOR.

Need to get on a run really - beating the bottom club is all very well and good but we need to be beating better teams than that if we want to progress.

23 Oct 2018 21:55:53
Will Klose get a one match ban?

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Oct 2018 13:05:15
Pontus was ban through his disrespect to the ref, not the swearing. So doubt Klose ban.

23 Oct 2018 21:47:11
Another set of Championship results that shows how tough it is and that it's not just us that have bad nights! Sheffield draw with Stoke, Middlesbrough 19 shots but 0-0 at home against Rotherham and Wigan lose at Millwall .

After all this doom and gloom a good win against Ipswich and a derby draw at WBA and we could be sat back on top of the division again!

Phew it's going to be a stressful year!

Look how well Norwich have gone since we beat them

It’s a mad, bad league

Just got to keep going every game and see where you end up.

25 Oct 2018 09:11:35
Wood agreed mate also look a DC going strong as well, it’s going to be a long season, who knows we have to keep praying,

21 Oct 2018 22:26:07
Obviously our recent form is not what we would want but I for one can see a bigger picture emerging and it is an exciting one.
The Blackburn game saw us use 14 Leeds players, no loanees. B P-F, Phillips, Clarke and Shackleton from our youth system and Forshaw, Bamford, Ayling and Douglas not playing.

With the emergence of the youngsters we should ditch the loan system and concentrate resources on a couple of top quality signings. We need a top quality centre half to partner Pontus. Cooper is a nice guy but his distribution is inconsistent and he doesn't inspire me. When do you see him giving the ref grief and getting in his ear . never. He might be popular in the dressing room but I don't want popular I want a leader, a winner, someone who sets the tone for the team.

I do think we need a quality wide left player as Dallas and Alioski are in my opinion in the same league as Cooper. Clarke to start on Wednesday is a must and boy is that lad going to be a star.
I still believe this is a top 6 team and considering Saiz hasn't got going yet I think there is plenty still to cone.
Personally if injuries are not a problem I would go with this 11 on Wednesday

BF-P, Ayling, Berardi, Pontus, Douglas
Phillips, Klich, Forshaw, Hernandez, Clarke and Roofe playing 4141.

22 Oct 2018 01:34:11
Don't think Douglas will be fit in time. We may see Pearce.

22 Oct 2018 07:32:02
Pearce deserves an opportunity, think will is harsh on Alioski, he has contributed a lot more than Dallas todate and his unpredictability causes the opposition problems as much as it sometimes frustrates us, but he is playing a lot, he can share a shift with Clarke.

Still not sure Clarke is ready for a full shift, makes a great substitute from the bench, he is still learning and will make mistakes, he lost the ball badly once on sat in a very dangerous situation. If he does, let’s not crucify him!

23 Oct 2018 11:19:59
Not much hope of that Spanish, one insignificant error and certain sections of the crowd are on his back straight away.

21 Oct 2018 10:54:45
Possession in football isn't always nine tenths of the law, it is what you do with the ball that counts. Glad to see Hernandez back because he adds to creativity of the team and takes the focus off Saiz. A fit Roofe "sniffing" around the six yard box will offer more than Roberts who is still learning the game and operates around the penalty spot/ edge of the box.
