I do not think it was us playing badly. Millwall had a plan to play us and it worked, same way Preston nearly did it the other week. Against teams like that we should drop Pablo and put Viera in and play Phillips further up pitch. Can always alternate when hard work done. let's not forget as well we just changed dynamics of team bringing Lasogga in, totally different player to Roofe. Team is still learning but think against physical hard working teams playing Pablo and Saiz from start is a bit of a gamble

Don't worry BIGE they were tired and TC forgot his plan B😁😁

Doukara gone to Turkey, that was quick, good luck to the lad.

Yes. Good luck douk. Did your very best for us. can't argue with that!

2.) 23 Aug 2017 17:08:53
I have no problem with the Douk, however, he was one of the infamous sick note six and maybe (just like Charlie Taylor) , was ill advised. Bit of an error of judgement on his part but he seemed to get his head down and get on with it after that. On his day, capable of a worldy and on another day could be completely useless. Best of luck Douk and thanks for the memories (volley against Forest) . MM

3.) 23 Aug 2017 21:59:15
Probably for the best. Mystified me why we extended his contract for a year tbh clearly not good enough to be anything but a squad player. All the best Douk

4.) 24 Aug 2017 00:51:24
Good luck to Douk

Mcilduff left back from Celtic on trial. Did well at youth level so could be a canny addition.

Well that's all folks. Had a good season and as usual fell apart a bit at the end. Expect to see quite a few changes in summer. Monk did well with a small squad but i do have my doubts at times. That piece he had in EP he said if we get beat its not down to tactics or formation but players performance. Sorry but that's a bit of a cop out and not sure it is what Radz will be wanting to hear. Think he has done well and would be fine with him staying and building on what he has done but not sure if he can be a great manager.

Good post bige, agree in every way

2.) 30 Apr 2017 03:05:01
Agree with you BIGE just wish radz would of pumped £6-10 million when he came in and signed a striker and centre back when we was in a great position in January. If he wasnt willing to do it then i'm afraid for us in the next window when we start at 0 points.

3.) 30 Apr 2017 03:06:34
Would snap up Grayson if monk goes.

4.) 30 Apr 2017 10:20:53
You ain't going to get a great manager in the championship.

5.) 01 May 2017 11:14:58
Swadlad a lot of managers who started in lower divisions turned out to be great. My post read i don't think Monk will be one of them. Nothing about getting a top manager in

22 Apr 2017 21:23:48
Sad to say but i think the fat lady has stopped singing I know if we beat Norwich and Ipswich beat Wendies its down to last day but can't see it happening, and Udders won't lose all three. Basically down to lack of creativity by both team and manager. Been a great season but when you are 4th with 5-6 games to go its hard to stomach our present position. Not looking forward to summer transfer market if Januarys was owt to go by.

Another win for the mighty whites. We can't stop scoring. Phillips gets another one. Goals coming from all over the park, love it. Onwards and upwards.

Took in the U23s against Bolton before my sesh yesterday. We won 1-0 but it should have been 5 or 6. Stokes missed a hat rick and Sarkic missed two as well. Sarkic was busy and looks decent think Stokes could do with going out on loan needs a challenge. Shackleton, McKay J, and Gomes played well but the one who caught my eye when he came on was Machuca, looks classy and intelligent on the ball. J McKay got the goal. Hosanna looks solid enough at back but on this game Diaz looks a liability. Huffer in goal at last he looks to have claimed the position. Still say he has a big future. Kun T not in squad so presume he is injured. Need to start putting chances away.

Well two completely different types of game and we won both without conceding. Phillips and Pablo looked a bit weary last night but we still had enough. Dallas has greatly improved for us this season now he is being managed properly. Good bench as well so i will be more than happy to watch our second eleven against Burnley. Good times onwards and upwards mot

Thought Phillips was one of our better players last night, broke loads of play up, agree about Pablo though, tries far too many killer balls for my liking, would like to see his pass completion stats, bet they aren't that great. good team effort, to lock 3 points up when your not at your best is what this league is all about

Sorry guys really bored so harking back to an old post from BW, come out come out wherever u are. He said Wilcos was the best team and that Revies were a bunch of under achievers. Never had time to respond back then but here goes now. Start with the underaachievers. Revie joined 1961/62 andgave us the all white. 63/64 Div 2 champions. 64/65 2nd Div 1 on goal diff and FA Cup finalists 65/66 2nd Div 1 66/67 4th Div 1 Fairs cup finalists. 67/68 4th Div 1, FA Cup winners, Fairs Cup winners. 68/69 Champions Div 1, 28 games undefeated. 69/70 2nd Div 1 FA Cup finalists, Winners Charity Shield. 70/71 2nd Div 1, Fairs Cup winners, Tinklers year. 71/72 2nd Div 1, FA Cup winners. 72/73 3rd Div 1, FA Cup final, Cup Winners Cup final. 73/74 Champions Div 1. Revie left. 74/75 European Cup Final, Armfield. Now Wilcos top achievers 89/90 Champions Div 2 90/91 4th Div 1 91/92 Champions Div 1, Charity Shield. 92/93 17th, wow underachievement or what, Sold Cantona. 93/94 5th Div 1 94/95 5th Div 1 95/96 FA Cup final. So now can all you who doubted the Revie years bow your heads in shame please. When a manager can spend a decade in the top flight and be involved in all major competitions throughout that period i will then consider him to be as great as Revie and his team on a par with his.

Just to let you guys know when i wrote it it was not all lumped together like that, i did do it neat in table form.

2.) 03 Sep 2017 12:16:12
Revie and Wilko were both great managers for the club, however, revie won more than Wilko, but he didn't win as much as he should've, like how many times we were runners up in trophies, when we should've been winning them, hell, we should have the F. A cup like 5 times ahaha.

3.) 03 Sep 2017 17:19:03
Delboy you are right we were runners up too much but we were in everything. If we were in final of one you can bet we were in quarters or semis of another. Even with big squads they have now clubs still prioritise what they want to win, something we never did in the Revie era.

4.) 03 Sep 2017 17:24:02
I've heard players who played under revie saying it may of been better if they did pick what they wanted to win and go for it.

5.) 03 Sep 2017 19:12:29
Bige mate you are bang on. Bermo hasn't got a clue, although he is right when he said Revies team underachieved. However BW is totally wrong putting Revie behind Wilko as you pointed out in your all over the place list! Two things Bige. what's Tinklers year? Mark Tinkler? And 1996 was the league cup final against Villa not FA Cup. Ill never forget that one, cost me nearly 4 grand! Great post though.

6.) 03 Sep 2017 21:07:34
Right on both counts Corky, Mark Tinkler the ref and it was League cup poor performance that day.

7.) 04 Sep 2017 12:51:40
Think the ref was RAY Tinkler, young Mark Tinkler played for us in the Prem . jus saying

27 Aug 2017 00:51:05
All played well Alioski man of the match and Coops not far behind him. But again i am going to praise Phillips, massive today. Now he can get forward more and mix it up you will see why i rated him ages ago to be a star player for us. And Grot is a beast and pretty fast. Anita looked good today as well. Bring it on, onwards and upwards.

BIGE

1.) 27 Aug 2017 10:33:23
Bang right BIGE. Kal's confidence took a battering last season, in my opinion, because he wasn't allowed to play his natural game, due to the overly defensive of Monks tactics. I expect to see him really step on this season with TC allowing him to play to his strengths.

Agree about Alioski but he has a good workrate and puts them under pressure. Would like to see Sacko used more, if only off the bench, he only needs a couple of goals for confidence and he will improve a lot. O, Kane my mom never stopped and used the ball well.

Problem is mental health does not have the resources to cope. It is still a bit of a taboo in the media and not enough information is given out like it is for Alzheimers and dementia so people tend to gloss over it when confronted with it. Approaching the issue is hard so most avoid it and talking to some one with mental health takes time and patience which a lot of people today don't seem to have. All the best to Clarke.
