Rumour has it that Andre Gray is flirting with a £20 million move to Wolves. Burnley lining up a bid of same money for Wood if the deal goes through. Personally would rather a straight swap if both players are moving on.

Don't shoot the messenger! I've got a mate in France, know him years and he loves his football. He reckons that rumour has it over there that Leeds scouts have been watching Jimmy Durmaz, Swedish int. plyinghis trade at Toulouse. I think he may have been subject of interest from TC when Durmas was at Olympiacos. Either way, Swedish forward, international experience, decent pace and ability on the ball from what I've seen. No idea what he's cost, but I'd be delighted if that one comes off. Just have I've heard! MOT

Interesting one if true Behave, Has really good stats on the LW (9 goals, 10 assists in 44 games) so possible alternative to Kent, either that or we could see some combination of Dallas, Roofe or Doukara on the out with him and Kent in. Valued at around the £2m mark from what I've seen.

2.) 20 Jul 2017 08:01:29
It's definitely an interesting one and has come completely from left field. I'd be surprised if, in this climate, he cost less than 6m. You may well be right though.

I've heard that if mowatt leaves then we will target Zac Clough as an attacking/ midfield option. Birmingham have just had a 750k bid knocked back. If mowatt goes for 5/ 6, then 1.5 on Clough would be a brilliant acquisition in my opinion.

I think you should keep taking the tablets.

2.) 07 Jan 2016 18:25:57
People can't seriously think that zac clough would make any difference to our team now we have as good academy players as him now. If he's that good then why are Bolton were they are it's not just a financial position it's on the field to.

3.) 08 Jan 2016 01:56:31
Assuming its not reliant on Mowatt leaving I would take Clough in a heart beat at £1.5m. A natural attacking mid/ false nine, which we don't have, to play off wood would be really beneficial. Tbh Mr Smith85 we had some great players when we dropped out of the prem as did Pompey, Wigan, Fulham, etc. Moral plays a big part. Clough has scored 8 in 17 (few of them starts) big player for the future, could make a big difference to us if we could get him.

4.) 08 Jan 2016 08:39:52
I think Clough offers something entirely different to what we currently have as a supporting attacking/ midfield option. Like the guy above said, he could slip in to a false 9 dynamic and be given a free role (Messi role) to draw out the center half and allow wide players to cut inside.

If we sell a couple (especially those that don't want to wear the shirt) and buy a few wide players and a solid CB to replace Bellusci, I really think we'd have a squad capable of contending in this division. I would love to see us sign someone like Demarai Gray (I know he has gone to Leicester) but someone like that, young, pacey, ambitious. No affordable names scream to mind though.

5.) 08 Jan 2016 09:21:06
I like Clough and playing for the right team he'll be a cracking addition.

6.) 08 Jan 2016 10:27:03
Clough is a player who can unlock defences and make things happen. If Mowatt (no pace) is worth £5 million plus then he has to be worth £1.5 million.

7.) 08 Jan 2016 10:50:09
5m for Mowatt? Just nearly spat my coffee at the screen laughing.

Try around the 1m mark, has zero pace.

8.) 08 Jan 2016 13:09:44
I laughed too at £5m for Mowatt - it's up there with the £8m for Byram! Often left amazed where these prices are pulled from.

9.) 08 Jan 2016 17:26:51
In fairness this pricing is based on figures being handed around lately and I don't think they're a million miles off - Ross wasn't worth 11million. He wasn't worth 4 if we're honest. Cellini plays the hands off warning games, and when teams need to to buy and we don't HAVE to sell, it's a sellers market. Latest statements from club "strategy meeting with Evans and Cellino" sounds an awful lot like, here's how we play this and get top dollar. I think 4-5 for Alex is about right for a young, English talent with no contract clauses.

10.) 08 Jan 2016 18:32:30
Who said Mowatt's leaving? Clough would be a quality signing, but he will be off to the PL.

So we have supposedly turned down Ayala.?

I don't think he's the answer to all our niggles but surely he's a great addition, on a free, 20k a week, 2 or 3 year deal. I believe he's a long way better than any of the young CBs who never get a game anyway. Very rarely do I challenge Bielsa's thinking, he absolutely knows best, but I'm left stretching my head at this one? Anyone disagree that he would have been useful to have around?

Behave ( Good username) lots of made up media bs posts put there . ' supposedly ' being the key word

if Leeds do go up they will need better.

2.) 25 Jun 2020 12:33:55
When we go up we will need much better, but do we honestly think radz is going to spend big on the players we need, or will it be a bunch of Orta bargins, (flops) , most of the squad capable of stepping up, but CD x 2 plus goalscoring striker needed, only 2 loans in prem I think.

3.) 25 Jun 2020 16:49:30
If Orta is still at the club then it will be a bunch of cheap no-hopers who he 'identifies' in the hope of getting a good one.

I appreciate this isn't a rumour and perhaps I've missed something. are we keeping the same kit as last season for the away kits? I've only posted on here as I can't seem to get anything clear on any other forums?

Leeds united now linked to Steve Bruce (AVFC) for top job, owing to Biesla stalling over accepting an offer from the club - Skysport Can't imagine much worse to be honest. Good way to blow our 10 mil investment. Albeit, if he brings Kodja, Grealish and Uncle Albert with him, maybe it would be worth looking at.

Negredo moves to Besiktas on a 3 year deal. Phew! Bullet dodged, I reckon. Onwards and upwards, Whites! Let's see what the last 3 weeks of the window brings!

Still think wood will go. Need to replace him

2.) 03 Aug 2017 11:56:07
I agree Aus, I think there will be too many lower prem clubs with some money looking for striking options. An opportunity for him to cash in on his great season and any the money might be too good to refuse. Let's hope we have scouted some suitable replacements!

3.) 03 Aug 2017 15:56:18
Barca in for Wood now they've got some brass to chuck about ;)

Walter Zenga the bookies' favourite to get the job. A man who has never held a managerial position for more than 1 season other than with a Saudi Arabian team. I don't want to ruin the party before it's started for next season. But I'm hardly brimming with confidence.

At least Evans knows the league, knows the players, clearly loves the club and has shown his worth; not only in getting us sorted and playing better football, but didn't walk out, despite working under the frenzied conditions posed by a mentally unhinged man!

Evans needs to be offered the job.

Not saying this is right or wrong, but I've read that he's on £52k a week at City. Would love to know what % of this we are covering. I honestly cannot explain how much I just don't rate the boy. If we're paying more than 50% of that a week, we need to have a serious look at our recruitment strategy!

Tbf Boston, I've been a big fan of Swift for a long time and only the other day I was saying I'd still love to take a punt on him, especially as Reading look fated for further struggles.

To be honest, Spanish, I think, even if we get no more through the door (which I'm hoping isn't the case) , Kiko plugs the biggest gap which has been most apparent so far this season. BPF has been excellent for his years and given we're the team with a target on our backs, however, Kiko will be the loudest voice in that box and command our back line. Bailey will kick on in coming years, I have no doubt about that.

Would love to see a winger or two, throughly underwhelmed by Harrison, but loads of potential in the kids coming through and if the past week has convinced me of anything, it's that I have 100% faith in Bielsa and his plans!

ALAW MOT!

Would be interesting but the lad has hardly pulled up trees while on loan and wouldn't kick any of the 1st team out right now. Interesting though.

Why are we being linked so heavily to coaches? Yes, the gaffer would have never been my first choice, but this squad isn't his, we didn't ay super well at the back end of the season but surely we've got to give him a crack of the whip with a little time and money. What the Heck has he done so dreadfully wrong?
