Paulo DiCanio's Swindon backroom staff all resigned last night after their game! Could be that Paulo has a new job lined up and is taking them with him as is often the case. I think Paulo would be excellent for us as his passion is 100% and he knows a thing or two about how to play football. He is a winner. My son was trialling at Swindon recently and we met him and he seems like a decent guy. He's on his way up in managerial terms which is the direction we all want Leeds to go in.
1.) In my opinion DiCannio would do a good job with the players we have. as we have seen in games against saints and Tottenham, we can play some decent football. a more passing game will release the creative players like diouf and mac. the long ball passes over our players like Austin an tonge who can hold up play and seek through balls. DiCannio or Adkins for me, both like playing the " modern game" as opposed to colins ancient long ball tactics

I was out last night having a curry with a couple of Bristol City supporters. They were trying to say that if their player wasn't sent off it would have been a different result! Who can really say? My view is that their player couldn't handle the occasion and the fan's. When you go to Elland Rd these days it's more that the team you are playing. I only gloated a little. Loving Leeds.

The stuff about “ Leeds only win because of the sending off “, coming from some Leeds supporters on here, not just Bristol City fans!
If a sending off is justified, and this one was, two deserved yellow cards, it says something about what is happening in the game. They were attempting to stop us playing by using legal and illegal means. Once the referee made it harder for them to use the illegal means and punished them for doing so, they caved! But if we had should have been 1/2 up by then anyone IF we had taken our chances. Another IF.
To me what it shows, is that we are not an easy team to play against and even if you try and get the tactics right, keeping that up legally through 90 mins is very hard.
West Brom so far, have been the best example of combating our style and having the skillful physical players needed to take advantage of it.
I’m really keen to see how we do against both Sheffield and Aston Villa, to see what we’ve learned from West Brom.

You are correct Spanish. Sides are dropping back to create a bank of 4 and 5 when we have the ball and supplementing it with physicality (both legal and illegal) to stop us getting any momentum. Although I did not think the Ref had a great game on Saturday, he did apply the rules of the game correctly, to send off a player for two bookable offences.
We will come up against this tactic time and time again, therefore it is important that we do not become a Reading of two seasons ago, where possession without purpose becomes the only meaningful statistic (although they did make the playoff final!). In the first half we made it easy for Bristol as we knocked it about in our half and then kept knocking a hopeful long ball.
In the second half, particularly when Saiz came on to help the transition, we were moving the ball faster with more attacking purpose. It was this that undid Bristol, yes the additional man helped but I think playing this way would have beaten them with eleven men.

Premier inn hotel just off m621 it’s a 5-10 min walk to stadium I always park around there . avoid paying and all the congestion getting in and out around the stadium.

Bringing in these players so far has been beyond my expectation. The press keep trying to make out that MC is a crook and boy has he shown his intent! Being a bit real it will take a few weeks for the players to get to know each other and each playing style. Players like to recieve the ball and make runs that are individual to them and this takes time to understand. The good news is they are quality and it will come in time. If people on the outside didn't know the history we have suffered they would think that we are creating a team to go PL this season! How flipping exciting. I know we will all get behind them and we need to show patience. MOT

I quite like Kiko. Firstly he smiles through the whole game so he must enjoy playing for us. Yes, he comes out and can flap, yet he came out and took a very good catch under pressure (so its possible for him to do) . He can be developed. To his defence he does get stitched up by some of the back passes. I think he can be worked on. He was so fired up when he came out, flapped and then got down low to his left. He celebrated like a goalscorer. That would have boosted his confidence, no end. I haven't heard a word from my Bristol mates. LOL.

71% possession, nicer 600 passess,14 shots, 4 on target. Seems to me like we go for it and they did damage limitation. I wasn't there, this is the stats. A win is another wonderful win. Love it. MOT.
