Have I missed something? Saiz flew in yesterday and was having a medical this morning and no announcement on him signing. Ekuban can fly in, have a medical and sign in a matter of hours. Is Saiz signed up or is there a delay due to a medical issue?

If alioski signs, surely the 1.6 we spent on sacko would have been better spent elsewhere (towards a cb ? ) . Which players are going to be surplus now, will Dallas, o Kane
Bridcutt, Phillips all still be in the new managers plans, I presume viera will be and the new pole. if siaz signs and Proves to be a success then Pablo could be a great sub to have at times for last 20 in games. anyone actually seen this alioski play (other than u tube clips? )

2.) 12 Jul 2017 09:51:26
I guess these players won't be surplus but having competition for places should certainly make last years players up their game. Which is surely a good thing right?

3.) 12 Jul 2017 10:53:03
Ongoing complications with Athletico rights I'd assume. Saiz isn't being signed from one club, he's being signed from two.

4.) 12 Jul 2017 12:19:40
Can't be that as the deal is done subject to a medical. Hopefully it all goes through as we need the creativity this guy can bring.

5.) 12 Jul 2017 12:45:41
Terms agreed subject to medical but you still have to get all three sets of lawyers to sign paperwork and money to move around.

6.) 12 Jul 2017 13:00:39
I heard he started his medical yesterday evening, probably to be completed this morning. Expect an announcement later today, at a guess.

7.) 12 Jul 2017 13:15:17
Good news Bright. Hope this one goes through.

8.) 13 Jul 2017 14:15:45
Radz has signed the targets so far that we have been trying to get. Gone about it with a patient methodical approach. Time for the doubters to start believing that we are trying to build a good solid squad that will be capable of challenging for promotion. Still think there will be more to come. Reply optimistic for the coming season. MOT.

Yes West Brom were the better team but it was for me simply one of those days.
Almost every ricochet fell straight to the feet of one of their players.
Not too down really as you get those days, so we will bounce back.
Keep the faith.

Another game with 70+% possession but not only the reward to reflect this. We have some things on point but still some work to do on the train field. I would rather be in the position we are of leading the play but still to learn how to finish than still learning how to get the ball and control it. We are not there yet but are definitely still in the race. For the sake of my sanity alone I chose to hope and believe in Bielsa. MOT.

May seem an odd statement but I think MBs real test comes next Saturday!
So far we've played two teams who have un-successfully tried to go toe to toe with us. Next week I expect a team who'll be delighted to take a point and will play accordingly.
I have no reason to believe MBs tactics won't pass that test but it will be interesting to see how he lines us up and if he changes anything.

A fantastic unbelievable win tonight, seems to be a new found spirit in the team. First Yorkshire Derby next week, so let's carry on from this as these games have been difficult for us in the past.

2.) 11 Aug 2018 20:51:58
Be interesting, we have the cup game during the week as well, I would imagine that there would be some changes for that, Saiz, Hernandez Roofe, might get a rest.

I would imagine that a lot of sides are going to be thinking about how best to deal with us. Problem with just sitting back for 90 mins is that if you concede a goal then the whole plan has to change. Even if they stifle the creativity, easy to see us getting a goal from a set piece.

3.) 11 Aug 2018 20:52:16
Very good point Canada, and i agree!

4.) 12 Aug 2018 00:03:25
Canada Good post for a change 😉.

Wondering about people's thoughts on this one. Stevie G to favourite for Rangers job. Personally my kind of player, so I'd be very Keen on him as a coach at Leeds next season. Pedigree as a coach isn't proven so a risk, but aren't all our coaches! What do people think?

CanadaWhite

1.) 27 Apr 2018 19:40:21
If he was coming to my club i would be excited by the prospect

2.) 27 Apr 2018 21:10:53
Would have him in the coaching set up immediately, but not yet managerial imo. He knows the game at every level, and has played for some great managers. Must've learned a load! Bloody hell that post "sounds good". Love the "sound" of my written word!

3.) 27 Apr 2018 21:28:52
Agree bright but not as manager.

4.) 28 Apr 2018 00:07:47
Stephen Fry would be ok for me! anybody but Paul Rockbottom! 👍👍

5.) 28 Apr 2018 03:22:02
Thought you liked him mike

6.) 28 Apr 2018 03:52:33
It's interesting. Lots of top players don't make good coaches that's for sure. Don't know where Leeds will look next, our recent decisions haven't worked and I can't see us attracting a proven coach unfortunately. Heck doesn't fill me with hope so if/when the time comes that we are looking again I'd at least be interested in someone like him.

7.) 28 Apr 2018 10:04:24
Agree Canada, with a good experienced number two with him he could be worth a try. Can't be any worse than some of our recent appointments. Surely he would get the respect of the players after all his achievements, and I can imagine him knowing exactly what would be needed for us to make a challenge. The problem for anybody coming in with a strong personality and a great knowledge of the game would be working with Orta and Radz. I can't see anybody decent wanting to work in that situation where somebody else is dictating who we sign.

Well when I wake up tomorrow (1pm Leeds time) I think this nightmare will be over.
We'll have a top notch manager announced and we'll all have something to be exited about.
I can look forward to reading some good transfer rumours instead of bad jokes!
Or maybe I'm so confused I'm dreaming now!

No news yet and its 1pm aus time.
Hope we not going to settle for just anybody after this.
Cmon radz. Do the deal mate.
Pleeeeaaaaasssseeeeee. Put is out of our misery.

2.) 15 Jun 2017 15:54:47
A bit under-whelmed but at least we have someone now!

OK all so made it over the pond for my first game in years. Poor game but great result. Here's my thoughts. Green and the defence look solid. Ayling is a bargain. 2 DM's are fine. I have 2 concerns though. Communication - a couple of times we gave away corners when we could safely have left the ball. Is that normal for us? Why aren't they talking? Secondly Distribution - we passed around the back with no intent. I'll back to that later. Midfield. Hernandez obviously has class but didn't play great yesterday. Sacko and Doukara worked hard enough with no great output. My concern was the total lack of movement off the ball. Little creation of space so defenders had no outlets. Made us slow and predictable. Wood - awesome. Tied up their backline and won most things but as an isolated forward why did we insist on playing balls to his head for a flick on? As soon as a ball goes towards his head someone should be running on in case. All in all great team spirit and nice to see ER full. Good times are back!

Only saw the second half but happy with a point.
From reading comments here I'm even happier with MB.
Taking off a player early who's having a nightmare isn't common. It shows the players his standards!
I hope he finds a way to get his standards through to Saiz. Stop the complaining and petulence and play the game. It won't always go your way, accept it and play. We can't afford him picking up a suspension as he's our main creator.

Peterborough boys wouldn't be called championship players so maybe someone else, hopefully in addition to them.

Aus just wondering what your work background is and if you have ever managed people for a living?
It is a skill and has a huge effect on team/ people engagement and high engagement equals better results from a team.
To me that is why Bielsa has been able to turn an average group into contenders. They are engaged and believe in his methods.
De-stabilizing that team by talk of replacing some of them will no doubt affect that engagement and results.
If we sign anyone I expect the official announcement will be the first we hear about it for that reason.

If Roofe had kept his feet on the ground it would have been our free kick in a dangerous area but he didn't so reference interpreted it as he jumped into their guy.

Good news is in 2nd half we have the linesman in our attacking end who doesn't know what offside is!

Or take the player on in the box and see if we can draw a foul and get a penalty.
Have to have variety to keep defenders guessing.
