I'm pretty sure 99% that Bielsa will stay!
New players talking about working with him, walking around Leeds in new training gear etc! I just wondered why there might be a delay in announcing it? Maybe they are looking at a longer contract,2 year's possibly?

I've always thought it would only be one year at a time! It would be great if he looked on it as a 2 year project!
Also quite excited by the influx of young players! I know some of you will say we need premier league experience but do we?

I love to see hungry ambitious, brave young players and I think with Bielsa coaching them and the steadying influences of our more experienced players, we could be in for some exciting times! MOT.

The delay in Bielsa signing is interesting When accompanied by all this don’t worry it’s a formality! If it’s a formality just bloody sign it! Bielsa has been burnt before on promised players not arriving and he has walked very quickly. Also for me, it’s much less clear what our objective is for the new year and if it is just to survive, it’s not very sexy. Add into that already he is in Uncharted waters with a third year. Can’t see him agreeing to more than one year, not his style and also think he will want to be very clear on what success looks like this year and what resources he will have. In some ways better to walk away having got the club back to the premiership than to walk away after a messy fight to survive.

Reading what Carlos Corberan had to say about Luke Aylings influence on the younger players made me realise how lucky we are to have a core of seasoned professionals at Leeds! I think Coops, Pablo, Dallas and Luke are the glue holding the loanies and younger players together! Also I think they are probably good men as well with good moral backgrounds! We are very lucky! MOT.

Think Bubs instills a strict moral code throughout the club, maybe that's why PJ had to go. Players involved a lot in community projects and visits to kiddies in hospital to ground them. Having players like Luke, KP, and Coops around helps with young ones development both on and off the pitch.

2.) 18 Sep 2019 12:40:07
Agree DSW. Watching the U23’s the other night, the way the senior players gave their all like it was a league match, and celebrated passionately with them was just class. I think the whole “team” ethic is now running thro the whole of the club.

Put on that shirt
Nothing else is acceptable.

Rumours emerging again about Kent from Liverpool. Bielsa apparently watched him at weekend!

Down south White

1.) 16 Jul 2019 09:30:03
Blimey, we already have Henandez, Clarke, Harrison and Costa in the wide positions. And by all accounts Shackleton, Steven's and Gotts can play wide too

Does anyone think/ know if this rumour has any basis in fact?

2.) 16 Jul 2019 10:09:06
Yeh, I thought once we got Costa the Kent deal would go away.

3.) 16 Jul 2019 13:18:01
Hey, no doubt would be a great acquisition, only concern is if the rumour of Burnley interest in klitch has momentum who do we have to mix it up in the midfield? Teams are going to route one us attacking through centre while we are plan A - get the ball and attack out wide with no plan B of having good attacking options in the middle.

Just a concern, hope it makes sense. I’m sure MB will have this in mind.

Onwards and upwards.

4.) 17 Jul 2019 11:52:33
Really wouldn't want Klich to go, I lived his energy early on on the season.
Thought he was less effective near the final months of the season but that's not his fault as he was a constant in the side AND he was also representing Poland too.
Hopefully he can be assisted this year by a more experienced Shakleton and an injury free Forshaw

I wouldn't mind us taking Gibson off their hands should Roofe be wanted by them. As you all should know by now, I rate Roofe, but that said I don't see him as undroppable.
Given the possession stats and chances Leeds create I think 25 goals a season should be the target for any No9 we play (even if it was Edmondson) .

Firstly, looking forward to enjoying the whole weekend for the first time in a while and hoping you all do as well!
Great battling performance last night and tend to agree with most of what has been said on here! Two things though! Rodders seems like he has had a firework up his arse in the last two games! Seems like a man on a mission!
Much more vocal than I remember!
The other being Raph! When I saw he was out I really feared the worst! But we survived without him and maybe now he won't be able to play for Brazil and we can enjoy a refreshed Raph for the remainder of the season!
Starting to like Marschello as well! Great passion!
Enjoy your weekend boys! MOT.

Nice to see 3 ex Leeds players scoring for boro in penalty shootout knocking out Manure
Especially good to see Sol Bamba involved 👍.

Okay Hands up Who thought Norwich were dead and buried? Yes I was probably one of them! Looks like they are going to make a fight of it after all! Some on here predicting Leeds in the bottom three not so long ago! Very tight on points so a couple of wins can make a heck of a difference! Good luck to the boys today! I hope a packed Elland rd can back them as they have all season to another 3 points!
I think there is definitely some teams above us that are catchable with a strong second half of the season! Come on you whites! MOT.

1.) 22 Jan 2022 09:20:55
Down south, not Me for sure it’s not over by a long way and we will need to play today like we did at West Ham get another 3 points.

2.) 22 Jan 2022 09:32:13
We're nowhere near safe yet - bit early to celebrate our escape.

3.) 22 Jan 2022 09:39:05
still a long way to go but three points today against a horrible newcastle side would be a great help.

4.) 22 Jan 2022 10:33:07
Not celebrating our escape yet Alf just commenting on how tight it is at the bottom!
Still remaining confident about the team I support though!

5.) 22 Jan 2022 10:45:35
DSW. pick up 3 vital points today, and I will 100% share your confidence! Only about 80% certain at the moment. Forshaw is a big miss!

6.) 22 Jan 2022 10:53:07
More worried about the possibility of Roberts being back than missing forshaw - he just disrupts our fluidity by slowing the ball down all the time.

7.) 22 Jan 2022 11:20:07
Totally agree I don't think we'd have beaten Burnley if Roberts hadn't have come off 2 wins without him says a lot.

8.) 22 Jan 2022 12:07:45
Safe? Far, far, far from it

1) Still no Bamford : will he ever get fit?

2) VO and co this HOPELESS transfer window : all focus seemingly on what from the outset was a hopelessly forlorn chase for an unavailable player this window in Aaranson when it remains vital that a midfield and a striker signing are needed

3) Tyler Roberts.

9.) 22 Jan 2022 12:09:12
Sorry fellas but I’m only looking up the table to see how many teams we can overtake until the end of this season, even without Bam and KP for the foreseeable future.

I don’t know why but I watched the game with Norwich and Watford last night and honestly, they were both awful, especially the first half. I’m absolutely convinced it’s only between Burnley, Newcastle, Watford and Norwich exclusively.
Barring anymore ridiculous VAR decisions against us today and I can only see a win today for us.
I’m not being arrogant about our expectations, I just watch the football and I know what I see.
We’ve had a very difficult first half of the season but it’s definitely going to improve here on in.

10.) 22 Jan 2022 12:33:04
Baz it troubles me that there’s chatter of a squad overhaul in the summer, yet it seems daft not to try sprees the cost and unsettling nature of that by bringing in a couple now then say 3-4 in the summer!
I agree that Aaronsen may be a decent player but he’s clearly not available and surely any due diligence done prior to January would have told Victor so. Therefore it makes no sense at all to waste the last 8/ 9 days of this window, we also definitely need a striker with paddy’s injury issues that are worrying, Tyler and rodders not chipping in, Geldhart is for me a great option but needs time and possibly a loan to a top level championship or European side for regular first team experience.
Right now if it was me I’d be after Fofana and maybe try loan Lula jovic from Real Madrid, can’t be any worse in terms of goal contributions that Tyler or Rodders!
In fact just sell Rodrigo and loan Tyler out.

11.) 22 Jan 2022 12:36:38
Absolutely with you Opt, nice to dream of progress up the table!

12.) 22 Jan 2022 14:10:04
Why dose it fell like we are looking and bidding for players that we will not get? Perhaps Rads and co should go for Haaland, he paid 30 million for James let him go for the same price, we have offered 20 million for a midfielder, sale Bam bam for 15 million, 63 million you get a excellent striker that’s all we need what with we have now.

13.) 22 Jan 2022 15:10:47
With you both DSW and OP. The only way we are moving is up that table!

14.) 22 Jan 2022 17:12:54
Playing like that against teams like that don’t look down? . Radz😤.

15.) 22 Jan 2022 17:13:41
Baz, agree mate we are in the mud not out of it.

08 Nov 2021 10:24:41
So last season after 11 games =14th place
This season after 11 games = 15th place
So maybe not such a disastrous start to the season as some would suggest!
Some injuries at the start of last season and possibly a few more this!
Once we had a settled team we were one of the form teams towards the end of the season!
So optimistically looking forward to the rest of the season! MOT.

DSW how many points did we have this time last year after same games, do you know?

2.) 08 Nov 2021 12:36:07
And who we got next 6 fixtures?

3.) 08 Nov 2021 13:13:22
Dougie, we had 14pts 3 more than this year!

D for denarius Alf! I would have thought you were old enough to remember Latin! Denarius was Latin for pennies! So 12 shillings and 6 pennies!

Nothing at all in KP’s behaviour and body language to suggest anything other than being happy to be back and part of this battling Leeds squad!
Not a hope in hell of him going to Villa!

Yes Alf hopefully! If Leeds are still in a relegation battle then so are, at least the 4 clubs above us!
Brighton form is dreadful, Newcastle bubble may have burst, Brentford very inconsistent and Leicester still have to put some points on the board!
Would be great if we could win the mini league below Wolves! I know you will say don’t look up but I can’t help it! MOT.

Strong team out! Close to 10k crowd! Archie Gray first goal, I think? Nice to give them a bit of a thrashing!
Think we might have a bit of a player in Max Dean!
The future is White! MOT.
