Heckingbottom SACKED!

1.) 01 Jun 2018 16:10:20
Was on the cards with all the rumours of him going to be sacked and no club statement supporting him he was a dead man walking .

19 May 2017 14:10:08
Let's not forget Charlie Adam is not the only prem player out of contract in the summer. Although he would be a great addition to Leeds we should also look at other players like Seb Larsson from Sunderland George Boyd from Burnley, Andrew Surman from Bournemouth, Joe Ledley and Mathieu Flamini from Crystal Palace, leadbitter from Middlesbourgh, Darren Fletcher from West Brom.

1.) 19 May 2017 14:38:45
Fletcher would do a job at Leeds. Flamini a bit past it but surman and ledley both good shouts. Live in hull, George Boyd used to play for hull and they said he was the most average player they'd had in that season they went up. But other 3 good alternatives

2.) 19 May 2017 18:02:17
I reckon Flamini would still do a great job in the Championship. MM

3.) 20 May 2017 09:36:30
I think £20mil is a no brainer as you've all said. I'd like to see us get rid of Dallas as well who I think has been poor the last 12 months and is probably on a large weekly salary and get Pedraza who looked quick and skillful since he joined. I'd put a bid in for Connor Wickham similar type of player to Wood who would link up well with Roofe and he doesn't get game time at Palace as a striker.

06 Jan 2017 12:40:58
Luke Murphy has joined Burton on loan, good luck to him

1.) 06 Jan 2017 14:06:58
Yea good luck luke, a very honest loyal lad and a all round top guy.

2.) 06 Jan 2017 17:21:10
Well said our Martyn. MM

3.) 07 Jan 2017 13:41:59
Respect for Murphy as he took a pay decrease to stay whilst in the team. Not a bad player on his day. Good luck to him. MoT

Just read that Adrian (West Ham keeper) is being linked with a move to Leeds. He has had a few good years with the hammers and is only 29 so still in his prime. Also his contract runs out in the summer. Also, Nugent or Rhodes are both a must buy. I'm not saying we need both but Fletcher is young and relatively unproven and definitely not worth 2mil.

1.) 21 Dec 2016 22:49:47
Havent seen much of West Ham over the last few seasons, my understanding is that Adrian is pretty similar to Green and Silvestri in that he does some stuff really well but is prone to silly mistakes, not sure he is a step up if that's the case.

2.) 29 Dec 2016 14:31:01
we won't attract players like Adrian. he won't drop down to championship IMO, still a prem player.

28 Oct 2016 10:51:39
Now Leicester are keen on signing Taylor for around 4M. I say take the money and use it to bring in Jansson or Bartley.

1.) 28 Oct 2016 12:59:33
Agree, but both would cost more than £4m.

2.) 28 Oct 2016 13:47:24
Bidding war, plus it can be used for Pontus and Hernandez. Not sure about Bartley yet, he only looks good next to Jansson. Surely cup run will bring in funds too?

3.) 28 Oct 2016 17:26:36
Bartley is out of contract in the summer I believe so that's one down.

4.) 28 Oct 2016 21:56:28
Bartley signed a years extension before joining us on loan scoops so he would command a fee.

5.) 31 Oct 2016 11:08:38
SG90. how are you not sure about Bartley? He is a goal scoring CB and to be honest I think he is the reason Pontus is able to express himself more because he is so disciplined. He also has less injury worries. Although a little off putting he does have a remarkably well trimmed beard also.

Ok shoot me down if you want but my inner football manager is coming out. Why not try Saiz up front. He has the face and the ability to both score and create goals. Then we can have a attacking midfield of Alioski and Dallas on the wings and Pablo in the middle of the three. Then Forshaw and and Vieira/Klich as the defensive midfield two. With the defensive midfield told to make the tackles high up in our own half then play simple passes to the attacking 4 who can cause havoc with their pace and swapping positions.

1.) 30 May 2018 11:19:08
Think alioski would do better up front imo, more of an eye for goal. To be honest I am bored of setting up in a 4231, and think that if ranieri comes thatll change. I can see him playing his usual 442, and playing Hernandez alongside Forshaw in the middle, and Hernandez up top with Edmondson, saiz and Clemens on the wings, oh a man can dream.

2.) 30 May 2018 11:36:50
Doubt he would play someone like Edmonson up front all season, he is only 16 after all. I would put Hernandez and Roofe up front as this would give the pace and the power. Then Edmonson or Clarke coming off the bench

3.) 30 May 2018 14:07:59
Dallas and Hernandez def bit part next season and Saiz and Alioski will have to again prove their worth. Alioski prob the best of the four form wise. None good enough as strikers.

4.) 30 May 2018 17:15:11
I'm hoping that Pablo is going to be doing his coaching badges and being shown what Head Coach/Manager is all about. It's time we had some continuity, recruit from within, has to be better than just chancing it with whoever is available.

5.) 30 May 2018 17:19:07
Hernandez created more chances than every other player in the division last year! He will be critical, particularly if we get a decent striker.

6.) 30 May 2018 20:18:40
We need a quick thinking, quick moving poacher next season if we are to really capitalise on the quick thinking brains of both Hernandez and Saiz. They can both slot the passes thro if only we had a nimble CF to play on their wavelength. Someone brave in the box, good first touch and lightning over 5 yards.

7.) 30 May 2018 21:51:34
Totally agree Leo. And to clarify, by "every other player", I meant "any other player". even Pablo couldn't create over 5,000 chances in a season!

8.) 30 May 2018 22:51:51
Loris . that sounds like Mr Marriott :)

05 Nov 2017 21:19:25
Question: with all this talk of people wanting TC fired, who do you want to replace him? Personally I think TC should be given a few more games, all teams have a blip in their seasons. We had a great start to the season and there was no way we could of kept that going all season.

1.) 05 Nov 2017 21:52:22
Big blip

2.) 05 Nov 2017 22:54:02
Blip = w-d-l-l-d-l -w-d

3.) 06 Nov 2017 08:25:57

4.) 06 Nov 2017 11:27:22
More chance of signing Messi alf

05 Sep 2017 13:51:58
Surprisingly Ledley is still a free agent. Would definitely work wonders in our midfield. Also what about Guisseppe Rossi. He is still a free agent and I read somewhere that he is training with Leeds United. Also what about Jan Kirchhoff. He was Sunderlands only bright spark last year and was released in the summer.

1.) 05 Sep 2017 19:57:15
Personally, I believe that we have enough depth in our mid positions, without needing anyone else.

31 Aug 2017 20:13:47
Ex-Leed player Mowatt has joined Oxford on loan from Barnsley. I wonder what would of happened if we kept him

1.) 31 Aug 2017 20:18:59
He'd be cleaning boots and serving tea

2.) 31 Aug 2017 20:21:41
Not much by the looks off things. Coding get on the Barnsley team. Think that says it all. Pity as I thought he had a lot about him if he had of trimmed down a bit and got proper fit. But we don't care about what ifs now. ⚽️👍😃

3.) 31 Aug 2017 20:31:10
Nowhere near good enough. Fans wanted him at number 10, but he's way below the class of the likes of Pablo and Saiz.

4.) 31 Aug 2017 23:40:44
Not nice comments about a young lad trying to make his way in the game. Not surprised by some though. Same folk who just like to slag. Lees, Cooper, Chris Wood. Anyone will do. You can clean my boots mate.

5.) 01 Sep 2017 06:35:52
Whatever do you mean corky

6.) 01 Sep 2017 09:30:57
You know what i mean Wex. Dontcha?

7.) 01 Sep 2017 13:23:48
I do corky for a player life alex who was a good leeds United man deserves more

22 Aug 2017 10:46:31
Ok, so now for a question on strikers. Who would you like to see come in and replace Wood upfront. I made a list of everyone we have been linked with (or at least the ones I can remember) Shane Long, Charlie Austin, Troy Deeney, Jordon Rhodes, Ross McCormack, Leigh Griffiths, Jay-jay Grot, Rudy Gestede, Ashley Barnes. Or would you trust the likes of Ekuban, Doukara, Roofe, Wilks and Stokes upfront?

1.) 22 Aug 2017 10:55:44

2.) 22 Aug 2017 11:26:15
love all the speculation, but I think I have seen enough from TC, Rads and the recruitment team to trust they will bring in the right signings. Been a long while since I have thought that. Must be 15 years plus. MOT

3.) 22 Aug 2017 11:35:44
Henrique Dourado. He's fit in this team brilliantly.

4.) 22 Aug 2017 12:03:38
Of those Austin or Deeney but unlikely. Vydra would have suited us. Think we will buy from continent as clubs wanting silly money in England.

5.) 22 Aug 2017 12:04:44
Has Patrick Bamford moved anywhere yet, he might fitin

6.) 22 Aug 2017 12:11:45
Austin, Deeney, Wells, any or all would be good for me :) btw, did anyone notice Captain Cooper got in the football league team of the week?

7.) 22 Aug 2017 12:37:58
Deeny, long, Austin in that order for me, but I'd be surprised at any of those coming in

8.) 22 Aug 2017 13:42:27
Well done Coops - good effort.

9.) 22 Aug 2017 14:16:09
Bloody shame Waghorn has already signed for Ips***e other wise looks a bargain at 1m

He’s barely young, he’s 24. Plus I think he’s more of a defensive mid. From what I saw he only played twice for Leonesa.

Can't sign players till January but can agree to sign players. I think it'll be the 'next big thing' from China or Japan. As much as I would love a big sponsorship deal from the wealth of China it could also be a agreement with another club in Asia, like what we have with the second division Spanish team.

Free agent for the U23 side I think. Or it's a new sponsor. Orrr, we have sold a player for 75m to a Chinese team

Not 11 assists in one game, it was chances created. A record previously held by Eriksen

Why British midfielders. All British players are over-priced. That's why TC and Orta went for foreign talent such as Saiz and Alioski, far cheaper unknowns that perform better than British players.
