JUst read Arteta's comments on White getting into the Engand squad .
"All the credit is down to him. If you look at his career and how far he has come in such a short space of time, really only in the last two years. "
Why did they pay £50M for him then?

Wouldn't expect anything else from Mr big ego Arteta.

What a tosser. Minutes away from losing his job last year and now he acts like he taught pep.

Not really a rumour, but an interesting post on the BBC website about Diego Costa being an option for Man City for the 2nd half of the season.
With our new investment might be an option for us?

In a word, no.

According to the Beeb Gossip page, West Ham are looking to loan out Reece Oxford for the season?
I couldn't see anything on here about him recently, and he is still very young with not a lot of experience or pitch time.

Can anyone enlighten me on what the Financial fair play rules are for next season. Are we going to be able to sign any of the loan players to permanent deals if we have to pay transfer fees?
{Ed003's Note - Owner's are allowed to put more of their own money in from next year - regarding Leed's position it will be assessed during the summer but the finances will have to show serious improvement for the embargo to be lifted G.}

For this year (14/15) it's £6m loss with owners putting in £3m and for the following season it's £3m loss with owners putting in up to £15m. I'm not sure if the embargo will be removed in the summer as accounts aren't announced until November.
{Ed003's Note - Cheers SG I'd forgot the exact amounts, the predicted accounts for year ending May 2015(the ones made public in Nov/Dec) are the ones the FL will use to judge any movements on an embargo as I understand it.}

I've just watched the Sean Dyche interview
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Re5c-HPPvIE
On the Ashley Barnes (and other) incidents at the weekend.
I have thought (before this weekend) that he (Dyche) has been excellent, but his excuses for Barnes - he mentions pendulums - are disgraceful and unprofessional.
In my view a professional manager would either say nothing, or announce that the club will retrospectively ban and fine the player and warn him about his future conduct. What do the rest of you think?
1.) I'm all for defending your own players and Barnes would be in a dark place if everyone turned on him even his boss, but Sean can't lie saying it wasn't a bad tackle because it was. Its a tricky one. Fergie and Jose are renowned for defending their players
This would be even better than getting rid of Ken. It would show that we're going to be serious contenders for next season.
Even though he's older - I'd rather have Murray - and if we got Wood from Leicester too that would give us "some" decent strikers.
If you look at teams who've gone up automatically to the Premiership they've all had more than 2 decent strikers to share the goals around. Not that I'm suggesting we can go up, but it would give us a decent base to build on for next season.
I think there's a bit more to it than that. Was possibly going to be a decent player 2-3 years ago, but his regular court appearances; having his name tattoed on his forehead; and, the fact that he hasn't cut it at any club he's been at since Newcastle should tell us all we need to know. No, no, no, no!
I think I'd prefer 4-3-3, wasn't 4-2-3-1 what Brazil played last night?
If he doesn't then I'd think he would have started lessons as soon as he took the job!

Got to agree with CanadaWhite - especially the last bit about it being unprofessional of the coach and - bluntly - naive of Bermo. I always read the Bermo posts with interest (and a pinch of salt) , but this one is a bit too much, not that I don't believe you, its more that I can't believe you need the attention. M-O-T.

Do we have an option to buy Ben White?

Why don't we do a Barcelona and get a charity logo put on. The club do a lot for Help for Heroes - how about them?

I don't disagree with anything that's been said here. The thing is that Morisson has never been a prolific scorer. He's usually played as more of a second string to the main striker. So, it's not all his fault. I think we're all agreed that he needs to be replaced for next season, the question is who by? I haven't seen enough of our strikers to have an opinion, but I rather suspect that we don't have the ideal striker for this division in the current squad.
I'm not sure that there is anybody around at the moment in this division or below who would fill that role on a permanent basis. So, do we look at a loan signing from a premier league team? I haven't seen anyone on loan to other championship clubs who have it either. Not sure that Bamford is a premier league player, and if we're going to buy then that's the calibre of player we should be looking for.
