Oriol Rey signs 2 year contract keeping him at the club until summer 2020. Let's hope TP follows.

1.) 14 May 2018 06:09:22
Thought Pearce signed not long ago George?

2.) 14 May 2018 13:43:50
unfortunately not Martyn - his contract is up in the summer.

3.) 14 May 2018 21:56:45
How could they let it get to this stage with a talent like him

4.) 15 May 2018 14:14:13
because they are a bunch of incompetent idiots?

5.) 16 May 2018 01:02:54
Or, it could be that he's been offered a contract and his agent won't let him sign it, or he might be looking at the likes of Taylor and Byram . warming the bench, playing League Cup games and picking up 20,000 or more . easy life if you have no pride in your profession

26 Feb 2018 12:38:21
Leeds sign Matthew Turner, U-16 Welsh goalkeeper via the Aspire Academy.

1.) 26 Feb 2018 16:32:12
one for the future?

2.) 26 Feb 2018 17:29:28
No alf it's #Oneforthefutre

3.) 26 Feb 2018 18:40:03
Paulo, Martyn?

4.) 27 Feb 2018 08:33:38
Get him in first team now!

5.) 27 Feb 2018 11:30:42
Paulo? You lost me george

6.) 27 Feb 2018 16:01:28
paulo futre (not future) ex west ham. I gotya George

7.) 27 Feb 2018 17:30:42
that level of detail is beyond me!

8.) 27 Feb 2018 20:02:21
Thanks leodis. My attempt at humour not lost on you.

9.) 28 Feb 2018 14:10:40
Put one in the oven George and give Martyn a call when it's done, as he says!

10.) 01 Mar 2018 10:01:22
paolo, that's a good one

11.) 01 Mar 2018 15:32:40
Thanks samo. Alf succumbed similarly on Banter page.

12.) 01 Mar 2018 20:02:44
And now Bright.

01 Feb 2018 12:08:56
Leeds terminate contract of Eoghan Stokes

31 Jan 2018 21:47:38
LUFC just bought Jordan Stevens, Forest Green midfield teenager.

1.) 31 Jan 2018 22:37:00
To be fair, we could do with one for the future.

2.) 31 Jan 2018 23:31:25
Not hockaday tho. phew!

3.) 01 Feb 2018 08:45:47
Just couldn’t help themselves could they?

4.) 02 Feb 2018 03:02:47
Just in case we get 10 ones for the future get up late!

29 Jan 2018 07:15:26
Links to us going in for the Bees' Lasse Vibe growing stronger. Transfer fee in region of £2m.

1.) 29 Jan 2018 07:39:43
2m for vibe i think would be deal of the year. Also in for mbakogu from carpi, a good finisher and very strong and quick.

22 May 2018 14:42:03
Gunn, Bartley, McGinn, Wilson and Abel equals playoffs 2019. Come on Radz you only need a spare 25m cash. Oh btw all of these players are several steps up in class over Wiedwald, Cooper, Okane, Dallas and Ekuban. Thanks in advance.

1.) 22 May 2018 14:54:32
I’m quite happy to keep BPF in goal, yes he needs some competition to stop him from becoming complacent like a lot of the team did this season but bringing in another young lad on loan won’t be to sit on the bench, with a solid defence in front of him BPF has shown he has the quality to be of a very high class. The rest you have mention I pretty much agree with although I know little about McGin

2.) 22 May 2018 15:04:22
For a start they could take the £3m they are going to waste on Crapi Jerry and offer Abel a 2 year contract on over £30K a week. Not going to happen though.

3.) 22 May 2018 15:04:58
He's Scottish and plays in midfield

4.) 22 May 2018 15:27:56
Guessing whoever gave the thumb down to my above comment doesn’t like BPF, can’t please everyone

5.) 22 May 2018 16:25:40
Davey What would you rather in terms of being loyal to BPF? Keeping him on his toes with Lonners? Buying another goalkeeper such as Stockdale? Bringing another goalkeeper on loan shows more loyalty to BPF development realistically. Stockdale on say a 2 year deal and he'll demand number one jersey too. BPF is class no doubt. He is our current number 1 but if the opportunity to get Gunn is there you take it as opposed to seeing him end up at a promotion rivals keeping clean sheets. Healthy competition for places way to go. Need cover all round pitch. BPF will get that anywhere else he goes so it might as well begin now at LUFC.

6.) 22 May 2018 17:39:36
Agree with all except Dallas. he has been expected to play all over the park. a great all rounder compared to the rest!

7.) 22 May 2018 19:58:24
Agree with you metissekit! Dallas is a great utility player to have in the squad, and can cover, or sub in for many positions AND do the job in all of them.

8.) 22 May 2018 20:12:07
Dallas is a decent utility player. He's a keep for me too as a squad member.

9.) 22 May 2018 20:21:19
I don't understand why so many have a downer on Dallas, he's an international, he gives his all in every game no matter where he plays.

10.) 22 May 2018 21:41:11
Stafford It's because to vie for a playoff berth you need better on the wing such as Wilson or Kent. Dallas shouldn't be starting more than 15 games a season in order for us to compete at the top. He's a decent option from the bench and to be deployed to rest other more skilful players.

11.) 23 May 2018 00:03:37
Dallas is not a forward or winger. Ok for bench and midfield but little threat capabilities. I wouldn’t get Gunn or Stockdale. Bff has aren’t right to start so get someone willing to push him but have bench time. Fernandez just won’t happen. Forget him.

12.) 23 May 2018 08:31:18
BPF should have the jersey for the next season. He deserves it and will only get better. Will another young keeper improve the squad, we have two one of which is an England player so no don't think so. Experienced back up would be good to work with the young ones we have. Got to agree Dallas is a good solid player but not one to start with. Maybe the way we have been playing has stifled him a bit but handy to have around,

13.) 23 May 2018 08:41:03
Great posts in this thread, good to see us finally considering a good quality first team keeper. Forget all the rest, I might be singing from the 16/17 songsheet here but we need barts in the squad before anyone. he'll excite me as a signing more than any of the others, purely because of Hernandez injury record.

14.) 23 May 2018 16:30:55
I didn't mean Debbie should start every game, but give the lad some credit for sticking at it no matter what, if a few more of the team were as committed as he then we would have finished considerably higher than 13th

15.) 23 May 2018 18:51:51
George I agree that BPF should be given some competition to keep him on his toes but someone like Gunn isn’t going to sign on a season loan to sit on the bench and encourage BPFs development is my point. He needs an experienced keeper that can pass knowledge tips and game management on aswell as provide a cast over his shoulder to keep his performances of a high standard

17 May 2018 15:08:03
Looks like TP is off. Most likely destination Bournemouth. They're no doubt using the improvement of Lewis Cook as persuasion together with more money of course. TP should stay though because Cook had 100 or championship league games under his belt before leaving. TP should do the same. Can't help but think TP didn't like the criticism which came his way from Heck after a fixture a month ago. Bad management move Heck. Could cost us.

1.) 17 May 2018 15:20:46
#oneofyourbetterpostsgeorge

2.) 17 May 2018 16:39:30
If this is true George it is a bad start to the transfer window. The criticism he received was harsh especially the way other players had performed in that position before he got his chance.

3.) 17 May 2018 18:04:07
#AMATUREMANAGEMENT

4.) 17 May 2018 18:02:04
If he can't take a bit of constructive criticism then I don't think that Elland Road is the place for him, no matter how good he is.

5.) 17 May 2018 18:20:37
Where has this come from about TP?

6.) 17 May 2018 19:37:33
Agree AL he should be able to take constructive criticism, but maybe on this occasion if Heckingbottom needed to say it, it could have been kept in the dressing room.

7.) 17 May 2018 22:36:19
Saddens me that a young player who hasn't yet made it, isn't willing to commit his immediate future to the club that has given him a chance. Is this a case of greed on his part or just our hierarchy not willing to pay him his worth? . Hope it's not a case of another young player thinking he s already made it. TP do yourself a favour stay and prove you are a talent, then in future the money and fame will come, unless you want to sit on some other teams bench with a few more quid in your bank.

8.) 18 May 2018 07:40:26
Spot on Mezzer, but these lads have Agents in their ear telling them they are better than what they are to up the anti.

9.) 18 May 2018 08:08:11
Is it really bad management if we sell a promising (yet unkown quality and unproven) left back for say 3/4 million, to free up more funds to sign bartley, who reportedly has an asking price of 6 million. with Swansea now in the champ, and his may lukey lukey playing for leeds, I think he could be swayed to come back. the management move was bad from heck yes, but don't forget were trying to pull off Hernandez, barts, and I'm hearing whispers steve evans is trying to bring coops to posh? we can't have it all, but if selling tp means we getcaptain barts back ill be over the moon.

10.) 18 May 2018 16:49:59
Yep, but, myself, didn't even think there was much in it anyway.

16 May 2018 15:39:05
Thanks for the votes so far guys. I been keeping tally. Anyone who has not voted please post your 1 2 3 replying to this thread preferably. Note for Ausman, your vote wasn't terribly clear. Please just give me your 1 2 3 in a clear post. Voting ends Friday midnight. Winner and runners up to be announced next day.

1.) 16 May 2018 15:58:11
Ah! Spoke too soon about Ausman's lucidity

2.) 16 May 2018 16:35:22
1-Alf 2-Leodis 3-Samo, the novelist!

3.) 16 May 2018 16:43:51
Don't be harsh Notts just a sign his medication is wearing off

4.) 16 May 2018 16:58:43
I hate this George it's just like picking your favourite Leeds United eleven. How can you. There is probably 3 players for every spot all of whom would be just right. Or even more difficult is picking the best song in the Eurovision? Well here goes anyway 1-Brightwhite 2-Alf 3-George. With honorable mentions for Bermo, Samo, Aussie, Al, Speedy and Hesslian. Just thinking there I had to chop the list, there are so many. All well worth reading some even making sense. Which reminds me let's remember some of the missing posters who were regulars but now, for whatever reason do not post anymore. If you are still out there let's hear you and to any new bodies just jump on board and throw your two'penneth in. You may get disagreed with, just don't take it personal and just remember old or new, your point is just as valid as ours.

15 May 2018 14:51:07
It's that time of year again folks when we decide who is POTS otherwise known as Poster of the Season. Rules. Can't vote for self. Post top 3 in this thread. I'll keep track and announce winner once all usual suspects have cast their vote. Here's mine Notts Martyn Ausman Ausman, some of your posts earlier in the year made so much sense I thought you were hacked. Normal service resumed after Easter. Close run thing between Notts and Big Fella but I feel Notts just edged him which can't have been easy. Happy voting!

1.) 15 May 2018 15:10:04
1. AUS
2. GEORGE
3. ALF

2.) 15 May 2018 15:19:51
1.Aus
2.Alf
3.Bright

3.) 15 May 2018 15:26:56
Cheers George. Like Cyprus voting for Greece in Eurovision you get a vote from me, good to have you back. Agree with vote for Martyn on his unwavering stance on the Heck, although the same could be argued for Whiteman I felt that Martyn was more prepared to explain his stance. Ausman's comments, always comical have also been surprisingly lucid of late. First Martyn, second George, third Ausman. Martyn by a whisker through being proven right about Hecky.

4.) 15 May 2018 17:36:49
Bright (despite our differances) George
Samo

5.) 15 May 2018 19:26:54
Alf, Martyn, and GIW. Nice mixture of humour and incise observation from each an all o yer. Best wishes to all other posters. Sufferers in arms.

6.) 15 May 2018 19:34:51
Whiteman
Martyn
Brightwhite Corkwhite

7.) 15 May 2018 19:46:32
George . Ausman . Notts

8.) 15 May 2018 20:10:53
Every single poster on here. Agree, disagree, whatever, at the end of the day "All Leeds Aren't We! ? " Just happy to be part of this group of passionate fans.

9.) 15 May 2018 20:50:28
Since joining I have enjoyed reading everybody's opinions even if they don't agree with mine! let's hope the close season brings some hope for the future.

10.) 15 May 2018 21:28:54
1.Martyn (great comebacks, most the times) 2. Mikewoody (usually on the same wavelenth) 3.Ausman ( just because he is Leeds despite the distance. ) Got to say so many good posters on this site regardless of if we agree at times. MOT.

11.) 15 May 2018 21:58:18
And once again spot on Mezzer, I really like your direct from the heart brutal honesty, just think on when we all post the same messages of congratulations on promotion or we are playing brilliantly, our players are fantastic as everyone is playing for the shirt, sell out games! Now if only Carlsberg made posts on Leeds banter! and as the Beach Boys sang “Wouldn’t it be nice”! Happy Days!

12.) 15 May 2018 22:32:02
Mick. George. Bermo. Mick has taken a leave of late but for me still qualifies. George took a small leave but came back a new man with quality posts. And Bermo comes and goes as he pleases but ya still have to enjoy his enthusiasm. Shout out to Alf and Bright to, proper Leeds fans.

13.) 16 May 2018 00:16:19
Good to see a fair few posters above are seeing sense. A few deluded ones but I don’t hold a grudge for too long. Alf takes first place for always being fair and talking sense
Bright for always being optimistic Mmmmm. Third is harder. Martyn for his sense until heck came along. George for his knowledge until the hashgate kicked in. But the winner for third place is

14.) 16 May 2018 07:27:07
1 Third place, I'll take it! Cheers notts

15.) 16 May 2018 13:50:55
OOh, too hard - i love you all. very close but i think it has to be:
1. Samo
2. Aus
3. Berm

Newsnow good source of information even if it's just developing rumours. No-one of any note will complete a transfer prior to the CL final. Last couple of days in May should see something happen like Abel joining along with Whyte.

Not quite Stafford. This window I'm equally interested in whom we eject. Window only closes for me once we succeed in eliminating deadwood. I want Wiedwald Cooper De Bock Okane out of here. We may as well retain Grot and Ekuban because you never know they might come good and their wages are relatively low. I also hope we get TP to sign.

Martyn Forestieri Hutchinson Westwood and Winnall once he returns from Derby. Forestieri would be a luxury not really needed because of Saiz and Hernandez but the rest would do nicely.

We could do a lot worse than raid the Wendies for a couple players. They are in trouble financially and with FFP rules.

Maybe Samo maybe not. We need goals and a serious goal threat to provide others with goalscoring opportunities. Abel would do that. I personally see Radz doing everything he can to ensure he signs.

Aaron Mooy couldn't make our bench even with half our midfield injured and the other half suspended.
