I read an article online last night, highlighting 10 out-of-contract players who are available and yet to find a club. It included:
Chris Baird (get rid of Warnock/Drury)
Yossi Benayoun (creative spark?)
David Bentley (wing option?)
Carlton Cole (will score at this level, bye bye Hunt)
Jay Simpson (wing option?)
Craig Gordon (Paddy/lAshdown fine, but too old if we hit Prem?)
Obviously, they'd all probably have to take a massive drop in the wages their used to, but I'm sure they'd rather be getting paid than not at all.
It also mentioned Tom Hateley, William Gallas and Titus Bramble.
The other name was Ciprian Marica. I've never heard of him before, but his stats are decent from Bundesliga, although being used mainly as a substitute. Our level might suit him lovely!
Any thoughts?
1.) How do you propose we get rid of Hunt, we've only just signed him. Give him a chance. Warnock is a good experienced player and we need him at left back. Far better than Chris Baird
Marica is wanted by Arsenal and West Ham so we have no chance

As much as I would like a couple of those at ER realistically its not going to happen.
3.) Benayoun is the only one I would take, agree with other post about warnock, he's a top player especially at this level, vinny.

I know we all want to see permanent signings, but you've got to look at the players that will be available from Premiership clubs, they can only register 25 players!
Perhaps rumours of the likes of Arron Lennon (OK maybe that one, lol) don't seem to sound so daft.
And we didn't sell any of our assets either!
1.) Yeh. Would have liked to see some go rather than some come in. If we got rid of a few we would be ready willing and able in loan or january market
By the way Assets is a bit optimistic

08:08 this morning Adam Le Fondre tweeted that he was looking forward to his first 45mins v Wycombe today.
If he was coming to Leeds and I was his ccurrent manager, he wouldn't be having 1 minute, let alone 45!

Just a thought considering all the "Where has our money come back" comments.
GFH saw first-hand how much of a mess the books were under Bates via the "Due Diligance" exclusivity period.
Did any of you really think that GFH would reveal their hand while Bates/Harvey were still around?
They've kept their cards VERY CLOSE to their chests until Bates/Harvey were out of the way. They might not have lots of money, and are clearly still looking for investment, but would you tell someone where you had your money stashed in your knew they were a crook?
I'm not saying we are financial rich, but I think we have more money (or at least had it ready to invest) long before Bates was due to step down
1.) Where is Bates now mate?
2.) Whoever replied, read my post again. Plank! Bates is gone, GFH had money all along, just didn't want him to get his hands on it!
3.) Bates is at the club in name only, he has no say or financial gain anymore, so he is as good as gone

Happy first "No More Bates Day" people!
Even though I live in the deepest darkest valley of South Wales, I'm sure today could end up as a regional bank holiday in Leeds/Yorkshire!

Ed, I'm sure everyone will agree that ALL of adamstani07's posts get put straight into the "Dodgy Rumours" page so we don't have to read his tripe. {Ed013's Note - Here are some of his previous rumours. I take your point on board. He does mention Chris Humphrey a while back.
I my contact has let me know that Derby Keeper Fielding who was in the 2010 England squad, is on Leeds radar to replace Kenny. To be honest I think we had perfectly good keepers in Lonegran and Schmicheal. God knows why we let them go.

A lot of haters on here doubting my RELIABLE information on transfers. I know for a FACT that Brian Mac wanted to sign Jermaine Pennant as he is my best mates cousin. Also, BM wants to bring either Neil Warnock or David O leary in as Director of Football. Similar to the Joe Kinnear role at newcastle. In terms of players, Leeds next signing is rumoured to be Gael Kakuta from chelsea on season long loan.

As regulars on here know, I predicted the Matt Smith transfer long before it happened as I have good contacts from within the club. I also have just been given some news today on the next transfer. Leeds United FC are lining up and hoping to complete a deal for ex England and Leeds Goal Keeper Paul Robinson to replace the departing Paddy Kenny. MOT.

Heard a strong rumour from a source from within the club that Ryan Hall has been subject of a couple of bids from Premiership Clubs. Rumoured to be Everton, Hull and Sunderland. Never given a chance at Leeds, going to bite us in the arse big time!

Just been to Thorpe Arche and I can CONFIRM the player there having a medical with the Leeds coaching and medical staff is in fact a surprise one. This is a massive FACT and the BM's second signing (assuming he passes the medical) is Titus Bramble. MOT.

Hot news, from a strong source within the club. Leeds will be announcing their first signing of the season in Johnny Russell. This is IMMINENT. Between 700-800k is believed to be the fee agreed. Also, Leeds second target is a bit of a strange one. BMD is looking into the possibility of signing ex leeds defender Michael Killgallon as Matt Mills has proved too expensive. Also, Brown expected to leave the club on a free as he has been offered a player/coach role at another club.

Totally agree with the 9th poster. He scored 10 goals for Everton in total despite not having much game time, including one vs Chelsea where he ran from box to box through 5/6 Chelsea players! One goal doesn't make him a star I know, at Leicester he suffered with injury all season, then he got his shooting boots back on with Huddersfield. For me, he still has that spark that can turn a game.
Some players find that they are more comfortable at one club than any other, Beckford could be that kinda guy!
However, I feel that BMD is looking for something a little different in the way he is setting the team up. I'm happy for Beckford to come in, as I am for all new signings (whether they have played for Leeds before or not) because it shows the manager has a plan, and I am happy to support him in whatever he does. Because I am a LEEDS SUPPORTER!
Also, to the tenth poster. You and I are obviously hearing very different moans from your missus!!
Some short memories on here! The black kit was labelled as "Away kit 2011-2013", but was moved to 3rd kit status for 2012-13. The blue kit will probably do the same
