Now, everyone. Please be patient. Don't be too disappointed. When you bring in 16 new players it will always take some time for them to gel. We should expect to see better from them in the future

Hopefully sooner rather than later kiwi. It's so frustrating watching this non togetherness. Ahhhhgggghhhj

Exciting times at Elland Road with 272 new signings, or threabouts it seems. Just hope TC can massage all the egos. Unless we can convince the FL to let us put more than 11 on the field at a time, there will be some coming on board who will struggle to make the bench let alone the starting 11. Still, this is a better problem than we experienced at the tail end of last season where we had a small group of overused, tired and jaded players struggling to keep up. All good. Onwards and upwards. MOT.

Maybe that's the thing kiwi, perhaps they don't have egos. Perhaps that's part of what we now look for on players. team players, young and hungry

2.) 31 Aug 2017 23:15:24
Well, all players at this level have egos or they wouldn't have risen to where they are and I suspect they have been attracted with promises of things to come. Having said that, I tend to agree with you and hope that we are building a champion team which will always beat a team of champions.

3.) 31 Aug 2017 23:46:45
Agree cura. Good times ahead. ⚽️⚽️👍😃

4.) 01 Sep 2017 00:12:04
Well all the ones that we signed and have played so far seem like they just wanna get there heads down and play for the team. Hopefully the ones who have signed since the forest game have the same mentality.

5.) 01 Sep 2017 11:48:35
TC has the tools to do the job, with the squad we have there is no excuse for anything less than the play offs. The players need to know they have come to a big club, it is their job to perform and get in the team, not want a cuddle if they are on the bench. The competition for places is going to be fierce which is what is needed for success. It Is going to be a great season! ALAW

Not sure about the reasons for the thumbs down for some of the comments above. They are valid opinions from passionate fans. Should be commended not condemned.

Just read that Wood is the leading goal scorer in Europe so far this year, with 7 goals ahead of Huagin (Juventus) , Kane (Spurs) , Lacazette (Lyon) , Lawrence (Ipswich) and Lukaku (Everton) all on 6. Go you good thing, go.

Feel free to post a comment about this Ausman. The stats don't lie, our Kiwi Kommando is the best striker in Europe this year.

2.) 10 Feb 2017 14:10:59
Your right lucas the stats don't lie although I know where Ausman is coming from. There have been plenty of players over the years that fans loved but I couldn't see why they looked pretty ordinary to me but I guess looking back people see different things in players. Wood works hard and is scoring goals o wonder if the goals dried up how many would jump on the band wagon to slate him. Anyway may the goals continue and see you all at ER tomorrow MOT.

I am always wary of Cardiff and also Warnock. Put the two together and in the past it could have often been a recipe for disaster for us, but we have in effect a new team. Lots of new players and existing players, playing like new signings. i am still wary though. As for Wednesday, I am going to watch their derby this afternoon and see what I think. i would settle for 4 points from these two games. On another note, in recent years we have had very little luck, but it might just be a team's season when you have two shots on goal and your opponent has three, bit you still win 3-2. Not at ease with the goalie. It may be speculative, but i beleive that had Green or Lonergan been in net we would have won by two, but hey ho, what will be will be.

2.) 24 Sep 2017 10:49:48
Think they will both be happy to get a point off us. can't see either of them in top four come christmas.

3.) 24 Sep 2017 12:12:07
Cardiff are our other bogey team along with millwall. We'll do well to get points there. Can't stand warnock, but given some funds he seems to create a decent team. Shame bates gave him f all apart from Reg varney, Norris and the sewer rat.

4.) 24 Sep 2017 13:07:40
I hope Dallas gets a start on Tuesday, think Alioski could do with dropping to the bench for this one. Can't fault his work rate but we can't afford his sloppy final ball against a team like Cardiff. This is going to be a tough battle like the Millwall game and we need to take our chances when they occur not waste them.

What was the story with Pontus. I thought that he was passed fit to play.

KiwiLeeds

1.) 23 Sep 2017 21:54:39
Saving him Kiwi, won't risk making a niggle worse.

2.) 23 Sep 2017 22:18:02
Not sure it's saving him I think pontus has issues

3.) 23 Sep 2017 22:49:04
Whos going to save me then Wex?

4.) 23 Sep 2017 22:57:25
Press making too much of it again just to get clicks. Rested as we've got tougher games coming up

5.) 23 Sep 2017 23:05:29
Ditch the dirt Wex.

6.) 24 Sep 2017 00:03:56
Mind games by TC saying he was fit when he wasn't to get in Mccarthy head. Didn't he do the same with Cooper earlier this season. Keep them guessing TC

7.) 24 Sep 2017 10:00:34
Pontus has thrown the odd hissy fit in his time

How do you get 6+ minutes of extra time in a half where there were no stoppages for injury?

Pinch me to make sure I'm awake. If anyone had told me at the start of the season that we would have lost Monk, sold Wood and Green, would have taken on a new manager I'd never heard of from a team totally new to me, that Beradi would be injured, Barts would be gone and we would be relying on Cooper to play a major role in our defense, that our squad would be chock full of European talent I knew nothing about and we would look on Dallas, Hernandez, Roofe and O'Kane as key contributers then you could not have offered me odds sufficient for me to open my wallet even the smallest bit to make the wager that we would be top of the league after 7 games. I know it's early days and there are many matches still to come and that 4 of the 5 teams we have beaten are in the bottom 5, but who can join me in agreement that there is an awful lot about this team to be very very excited about.

1.) 13 Sep 2017 21:36:12
Great post Kiwi. The difference this year is that a lot of people are making a real difference from the board, re rioters, coach down to the players and everyone else including the fans! It's great to see Cooper showing what he can do, Okane and Phillips grasping the opportunity and Roofe coming good alongside the newcomers and the stars from last year, Pontus, Aylin's and Berardi. It really is a team effort and all added together it makes a really exciting mix. I want to see us up against Wolves, Monkborough and Cardiff but we don't need to be scared of them. Corals now have us second faves for the league behind Wolves at 5/1 and bizarrely third for promotion behind Wolves and Monkborough, how is that worked out then. Bring on the Millwall, what's the odds on at least one Millwall player seeing red for trying to cope with Saiz!
