What would be a show of good intent this transfer window? In my opinion it would be getting the business done, whatever it may be, early. This would indicate that they (Leeds management team) are taking things serously; that they have been thinking hard about already it and are going to give Bub the time to graft the newcomers successfully into the existing squad.

Pope keeper from Burnley
Gary Cahill on loan not getting games at Chelsea
Jarrod Bowen
Bradley Dack
Moise keen

That would represent a good transfer window.

That's 2 refs that will be in trouble witH the EFL now. One for giving a penalty last week and one for not awarding one today. They will run out of officials elligible for taking the field in the Championship soon if these men in black don't learn what their rules are in relation to Leeds. Long may it continue. MOT.

1.) 16 Dec 2018 09:19:06
I don’t think it was a penalty.
I thought he stubbed his foot on turf.

2.) 16 Dec 2018 11:38:15
I agree Saiz!

3.) 16 Dec 2018 17:51:12
That’s spooky I meant to say Auz, autocorrect!

4.) 16 Dec 2018 21:05:30
On no! Aus is really Saiz.

5.) 16 Dec 2018 22:55:24
I’ve never seen them together!

6.) 18 Dec 2018 14:23:40
Ha ha. Saiz wishes.

I know we are all getting frustrated because our hope of landing the big one have all been frustrated - so far, Let's take stock against lats year:

1) Goalkeeper - Last year we had 2 clowns. This year 2 good ones.

2) Defense - Ayling is back. We missed him big time when he was injured and we have Pearce full time in the squad. Maybe Pearce won't pleay as a true defender but otherwise we are none the worse and better with Ayling on the Pitch.

3) Midfield - Baker in and Okane nowhere near the grass. Massive improvement. Klich looks like he might come right as well.

4) Attack - Maybe no additions - yet. BUT Lasogga - gone. Grot - gone. Ekuban - gone. An improvement already.

5) Coach - Big improvement. With imptovements still possible I am more hopeful than despondent.

Liking the positivity Kiwi, and like you say, not many additions "yet"! There's still time.

2.) 20 Jul 2018 09:06:06
I like this post Kiwi. We have a starting XI stronger than last year and so far, as you say, we have got rid of some players not up to the grade. Now with the addition of a couple (or 3) purchases and a similar number of loans we will be in good shape (well on paper) . I am not one of those who is in despair as I still think there are many players out there who are/ will be available and we do not need to panic and be held to ransom. If they WANT to come to Leeds then great, if not then why overpay them. MOT.

3.) 20 Jul 2018 20:03:23
Careful boys, the doom and gloomers will be chasing you out of town ;)

With so many exciting young'uns he could have blooded and with nothing to lose - why didn't he. PH complains about the team's attitude but then notably leaves out the very players he can be sure to be excited and committed. There can only be one reason for this. Despite PH's comments to the contrary, he must be in fear for hisjob so resorted to fielding what he considers to be his best team in the hope that picking up a win or two will save him. Short term, self interested thinking adds nothing to the development of the team, the players or the team culture.

Hoping the acquisition of a few key players in the summer will turn the tide displays the same short term, wishful thinking exhibited by PH this weekend and will bring about the same results. Give a champion team over a team of champions every time. Sorry PH, but it is time to go. We need someone with more vision and self belief to move us forward.

Would you come to this shambles if you was a player kiwi?

2.) 30 Apr 2018 14:51:07
Agreed Martyn, just look at the mess we are in, Leeds on the fall again just goes to show what a shambles this lot are and we still got 4 season to go before he will sale, radz please get out and take the 🤡 with you.

The real question on every club owner's lips should now be "Why hasn't MY manager been watching other teams train. Where is MY manager's power point presentation".

KiwiLeeds

1.) 16 Jan 2019 21:18:03
Exactly what Karl Henry ex Wolves an QPR, now with Bradford has said, really spoke well about Bielsa, good for him.

2.) 16 Jan 2019 21:52:50
IF LEEDS WERE ROCK BOTTOM, EFL WON'T GIVE A F$$K! THEY ALL CAN "FORK RIGHT OFF"

16 Jan 2019 20:18:52
Bub is BRILLIANT. He IS Leeds. By the condescending way he put the EFL in their place you would have thought he was born and raised in the city or at least read every football article written about the place. Then again, knowing him, he probably has. His level of analysis makes Revie's player dossiers look like match day programs. This is why we are going up and are going to stay up.

KiwiLeeds

1.) 16 Jan 2019 20:53:18
Kiwi I have to disagree, Radz having told him to cool it he comes out saying he’s done it all season, now EFL have come out saying that Leeds May have breached their charter to which all clubs agreed to last season, leaving Leeds to the possibility of a bigger sanction, I don’t know it Radz has is hands in his head or the EFL rubbing theirs together, Brilliant is not something I would agree with.

{Ed001's Note - the EFL had already said that nonsense about it breaching their charter, long before he gave the conference. That was days ago they made that claim when they couldn't actually find a rule that covered it.}

2.) 16 Jan 2019 21:05:29
Ed100, Let’s see before handing them anything, That’s all I am saying. If they can find anything they will, drove past and the midnight candle were burning.

{Ed001's Note - and they will do that regardless of what Leeds do, so give it to them both barrels and show them up, which is exactly what Bielsa has done. He has turned it into a coaching masterclass and made Lampard look a fool.}

3.) 16 Jan 2019 21:22:17
Whiteman as always I respect your opinion but the point here is that Bub is showing the passion and character which will lift the team and the club. He will have the dressing room well and truly with him and that will come through on the paddock. The thoroughness and depth of his analysis render the possible transgression of spying (in reality it was only watching) to be a minor bit part. If the EFL want to outlaw it they can do so but may find themselves hard put to dish out any meaningful punishment. It wasn't illegal. It's been done before by others. It's not contrary to any of their own set laws. Now he has shown it provided little that contributed to the result.

4.) 16 Jan 2019 21:36:00
Also, do you really think that Radz wouldn't have known what was coming? get real, Bub's shown exactly why it doesn't matter if he sends anyone to watch a training session because he already knows everything he wants to know.

5.) 16 Jan 2019 21:38:37
I can see where you are coming from Whiteman. I think that was very much Bielsas way. Didn’t seem to be any notice of the press conference on the official site and I don’t know if there as been anything since.

Although he did talk before about recognising the differences here, he didn’t apologise as far as I could see. Also he didn’t make it absolutely clear he wouldn’t do it again, although he sort of implied it the other day. He made quite a terse passing reference to the clubs statement on him as well. However he did seem to say he would accept the punishment. Correct me guys if any of those assumptions are wrong!

I hope now, that’s the end of it until the league / FA decision and we get back to football only.

I think he has though made it tough for the authorities to handle it, he’s given them more ammunition but they will run the risk of making him even more of a hero than he is already and could give the team even more motivation and desire to perform!

6.) 16 Jan 2019 22:24:38
Al, Yes i do wonder that,

7.) 16 Jan 2019 22:28:21
How many players will want to play for Leeds under Bielsa now? Surely they will be jumping at the chance.

8.) 16 Jan 2019 22:50:29
Let’s face it, Bielsa just gave English football, from grass roots to the very top of the game, a proper schooling! He said that watching training wasn’t of any benefit, but if he didn’t ask for it to be done, he wouldn’t feel that he was doing his job properly, and would be worried about that. He wants perfection in his preparation, and to be the best coach possible. The only thing the authorities can do now, is introduce new rules, so that it’s clear for everyone.

16 Jan 2019 20:10:35
So . The end result of DF whinging is that now every Championship manager has the benefit of analysis from looking over his fence. And more. Methinks he is learning first hand the law of unintended consequences. Frank, you need to look up the "Streisand Effect" on Google.

KiwiLeeds

1.) 16 Jan 2019 20:41:06
Soz. Typo. Meant FF nor DF Have as little idea as to who DF may be as FF has with regard to handling this situation.

My heart stopped beating this morning. The first article I opened on NN was one giving full coverage of the press conference. As all of you, who have seen these before, know you need to start reading from the bottom, where the conference starts, and follow the statements from there to the top as they are revealed. The statement at the top is always, effectively, the last in the interview
Well, this morning my anxiety got the better of me. In my haste to glean the news I couldn't help myself. I jumped straight into the article and started at the top - which, of course, was the end. What was the heading for the last statement - set out in bold print . BIELSA LEAVES meaning he exits the conference which, in my anxious state of mind, was not the first understanding that rose in my head
My heart stopped. I am only now just recovering.

Norwich game sold out in 90 minutes. Leeds fans are screaming for the addition of an extra performance. Something special is happening at Leeds. The giant, long sleeping, has been woken.

KiwiLeeds

1.) 14 Jan 2019 19:37:29
Screaming for an extra tier on a stand too.

2.) 14 Jan 2019 21:14:33
We will need an extension anyone know if there is one in the pipeline.

3.) 14 Jan 2019 22:10:54
There's far too many wasted empty seats that's allocated for away fans surely we should be allowed to sell bottom tier in West stand look the Premiership games no segregation just a line of stewards no doubt pc plod will have there say, the South Stand boxes also need taking out much better to have a further 2,000 seats.

4.) 14 Jan 2019 23:25:04
I seem to remember Radz saying something about the South Stand being done up this coming close season.

5.) 15 Jan 2019 00:48:13
I'm based 2 mins down the road from there training ground. Can see them training from the road as you drive pass, no need for wire cutters.

6.) 15 Jan 2019 10:13:31
Watch out louisb Frank ****hard will be disgusted that you dare to live there .

7.) 15 Jan 2019 11:19:18
Put a wall round the ground Frank.
Save all good football enthusiasts the agony of watching derby train.

8.) 15 Jan 2019 11:33:08
Shove all the away fans in the cheese wedge, most visitors wouldn't even fill that, and let us have the rest of the West Stand :)

Looks like the plan may be to take BPF back to the under 23s. There he can gain playing time and learn better than sitting on the bench. We all can see that though he has fought the good fight valiantly, he is not quite there yet. But he is yound, talented and strong of mind. He won't be discarded as such but given the time to gain more experience and mature and grow as a keeper. His time will come again.

Love your reports on the under 23 games Spanish. Thanks for these and please keep them coming. I'm either getting old or dead lazy because I'm finding the trip to see these myself a bit burdensome. But I really do enjoy getting the inside juice on how the players are going.

Uncle Google tells me that world rankings for keepers has Courtois at 2 and Navas at 4. This being the case Casilla can be no. 3 at his club but still a VERY good man in goal.

Once promoted everyone can sit down with all the cards on the table. I think the way Leeds have handled him and the chance to continue to work with Bielsa will stand us in good stead.
