He did well for his first league game, good running, hold-up play, dragged defenders with him which helped with the first goal.

very impressive, has a great touch and clearly a technically gifted player. caused the defence all sorts of issues and off the ball movement and runs were impressive. picked out some good passes but don't remember him having any shots. i think he will be a really good signing if he can get properly fit.

Not sure what you guys think of potentially bringing Luke Garbutt back to LUFC to help solve our LB issue! ? He's a Leeds lad and has struggled to break into Everton's line-up with Baines still performing strongly. Potential to be a very good player. worth a try! ?

Hope it'll work out well! One of the few Everton games I watched on TV last season (when he was playing) he struggled a bit with positioning in particular but if he sorts that aspect of his game he could be a very good player. From what I've read too his dad's a Leeds fan!

I personally was impressed when we played against them at ER. He's a big, strong lad and bullied our defence at times. Wouldn't say he's worth 10mill but unsure who you can get (in a similar mould) for the same money unless you 'risk' it from abroad. He's only 25 too so room for improvement.

I like MC Mike but in fairness, the managers (other than BMD) were ones he appointed in the first place. I'm not saying he didn't do the right thing but if a bit more thought had gone into the appointments initially then there might not have been as many sackings. None did a particularly outstanding job but none came with great records either. I think the point is that they never really had a chance to start off with. Frank De Boer is overrated in my opinion and I wasn't surprised that he's gone. The appointed someone who they thought was a great manager but the Premier League has figured him out (or the other way, he hasn't figured it out) and they've felt they needed to act.

If you've seen him play I'm surprised that you think that's the case. He's a very good player, not really given a chance with the options they have (understandably) at Southampton.
