According to the national media Liverpool want Clarke and Everton want Bielsa. Can do without the Scousers stealing our best stuff.

1.) 10 Feb 2019 11:35:44
I was wondering how long it would be before some poor "journalist" would come up with Milner plus cash for Jack Clarke, dream on 🀣🀣🀣.

2.) 10 Feb 2019 18:38:22

31 Jan 2019 12:59:33
According to the currant bun, James is now in Leeds for medical and signing.

1.) 31 Jan 2019 13:35:10
Say no more then Tory. If it's in the current bun then it must be true 😣.

2.) 31 Jan 2019 13:38:05
I’d be more interested in what the beano had to say on the matter

Does seem to be happening.

31 Jan 2019 09:14:33
Two new twists to the Swansea transfer saga. Now reporting that we will pay Β£1m to loan till end of season then make it up to Β£10m if we get promoted, but not if we don't, whilst elsewhere someone is reporting that the lad has told Swansea that he wants to join Leeds and will not at any stage be signing a new contract. Baffled.

1.) 31 Jan 2019 09:42:29
If the latest rumors are true, it’s going to happen. The player, to be fair, seems to have acted correctly so far. He was available to play and put in a very good shift. Do Swansea want to be left with an unhappy player who won’t agree a new deal or take a bag with 5 million pounds and an agreement for more! Answers on a postcard please!

2.) 31 Jan 2019 12:22:29
Sounds like the kind of cheapskate deal we would look to make.

3.) 31 Jan 2019 12:36:52
Prudent Alf, prudent!

4.) 31 Jan 2019 12:59:46
Agreed Tory, a real chance and incentive to perform.

5.) 31 Jan 2019 18:19:41
Cant help but think we are chasing the wrong Swansea forward

It was suggested in the summer as a possible target. Think he would be an ideal No9 for us. Never stops moving. Chases lost causes. And if I am honest, a better forward than Roofe

I will always think Roofe is a hard-working, link-the-play No10 rather than a No9. Maybe he has got the killer pass in his locker but the majority of No10s don't. Lampard didnt, he just was always hurting the opposition

Maybe we already have Saiz's replacement at the club
I doubt Saiz would get many games in the Premiership, at any club.

23 Jan 2019 11:34:17
Phil Hay has said that club have told him this morning that Jack Clarke will definitely not be sold in this window.

1.) 23 Jan 2019 12:38:11
Tory Hay's tweet worryingly appears to emphasize the word "this". Clarke should not be sold to the Premiership elite period.

2.) 23 Jan 2019 12:47:36
Indeed George. We will hopefully be in the Prem soon, so it could become a moot point.

3.) 23 Jan 2019 14:29:01
If we don’t go up this year, his form permitting, the chances of keeping him will diminish with each month we stay in the championship. You have to be realistic the buying power and attraction of the top six premiership clubs is enormous . Him taking us into that group has to be the hope but I imagine, he, his family and advisers will have to be convinced that is possible. 3/ 4 months is a long time in football, keeping JC for that time and him creating goals and scoring goals that take us into the premiership, the priority!

4.) 23 Jan 2019 16:13:21
If we go up he stays. If we don't he goes. Fair enough to him if that is the case. He has a bright future. I only hope we place ourselves in such a position so that it is with us.

5.) 23 Jan 2019 17:12:56
Will be hard to keep him George if the worst happens.

6.) 23 Jan 2019 17:41:02
I'd like to think that the lad would stay whatever happens this season, however, if he, Radz and Bub decide it's time to move on then they should take the Cellino route and demand, at the very least, upwards of Β£30M.

7.) 23 Jan 2019 18:33:33
I think this summer will see a massive review promoted or not and very much dependent on how we finish given that coming towards the end of Jan we are still top of the league!

Will Bielsa stay on? Will the board want him to? What resources will he need to stay in the Premiership or mount another serious challenge? Is Clarke more valuable as part of either of those options or as a way of financing one or both of them?

I hope that the desire to hold up contract discussions u til the summer is part of keeping the focus squarely on our remaining games. The more you think about the next 3/ 4, the more it dawns just how important they are in this our centenary year!

8.) 23 Jan 2019 20:24:31
I don’t see the problem.
We are going up!

9.) 24 Jan 2019 13:25:04

22 Jan 2019 20:12:41
According to the S*n, Man United, City, Tottenham and Chelsea pondering bids for Clarke. Apparently his parents want to see him in Premiership with Leeds and he seems of that mind. If he is made a ridiculous offer, we could insist that he finishes the season first, loaned back. Prefer him staying though.

1.) 22 Jan 2019 21:50:51
Just don’t see the urgency for the big clubs unless we want to sell and a bidding war starts. Nothing is going to happen to him with a big club before the summer, probably play a better quality of football here. Wait untill the summer, see how he has done and how we have done and then take it from there. Really good if his parents are level headed about it. Not easy for families and players in this position.

2.) 22 Jan 2019 23:31:42
Good to see the parents in his head rather than the money hungry agents. Guess who are most likely to have his long term interests at heart. Having said that, TBF, so far Harte has looked out for him well.

20 Feb 2019 16:13:48
Prutton has predicted that we will beat Bolton and QPR. On the basis of his record to date, looks like we're getting 2 points from 2 games. Felt quite optimistic till he interjected, but now I have come over all Whiteman. That is not a dig mate, I am just p1ssing about. On a serious level, I think both teams will park the bus in front of us. They will both be targeting a point.

1.) 20 Feb 2019 17:15:08
I preferred him when he looked like Jesus!

2.) 20 Feb 2019 18:47:00
Bright When did that ever happen? Prutton during his playing days certainly bore an uncanny resemblance to Cesare Borgia. No offense but is this your favourite animal πŸ‘?

3.) 20 Feb 2019 19:30:30
I'll go further than Jesus, we'll win the next (at least) 6 😊😊😊.

4.) 20 Feb 2019 21:40:58
Staffy Your first 5 words are blasphemous.

5.) 20 Feb 2019 21:53:06
I’m not even arsed to google Cesar Borgia, but no, I prefer goats.

6.) 20 Feb 2019 23:15:39
Bright Clearly! I can tell you follow the goat 😈.

7.) 21 Feb 2019 13:05:16
Being a Yorkshireman, I prefer groats 😁😁.

19 Feb 2019 21:27:26
Spanish, BIGE, anyone. Just read Phil Hay saying that he thinks that Bielsa may not be convinced by Brown. How does he look for the under 23s? We have waited 2/ 3 of season for him to be fit, he was superb at Huddersfield, Roofe may be out for a while and now Hay is suggesting Bubs might not play him.

1.) 19 Feb 2019 21:52:03
Tory, I’ve been posting a bit about Brown. In the last two games Bielsa has chosen Shackleton to come on not Brown. He sees the daily training sessions as well as the under 23 games! He’s not dominated the under 23 games although he has come up with some goals. I don’t know whether it’s his laid back style or that he is still building up his fitness rather than giving his all.

We need him to come on and show us what he can do at Championship level. Bielsa usually seems naturally cautious at bringing people in and changing the team. There is an under 23 game on Friday night . I would imagine Brown won’t feature there .

2.) 20 Feb 2019 09:28:40
He is not what you would call an energetic player but his awareness and passing is very good and he can pop up with a goal. Not great in the tackle but when he has the ball he uses it well. Honestly do not think he is giving 100% in U23 games and sure he would be able to pick the pace up in first team. Think he would be good coming off the bench as different to what we have.

3.) 20 Feb 2019 10:25:09
I must say in the few times I have seen Brown he has seemed okay but nothing exciting. Hopefully; he is not giving 100% (yet) or his style is just laid back, but whatever it is it does not appear as though he is the saviour that we have all been waiting for. Obviously I hope I am wrong and obviously he will be a usefull addition but as for a goal getter and a goal maker, I am not too sure.

4.) 20 Feb 2019 11:07:58
Only one way to find out πŸ˜‰ and don't forget that Bub persevered with Baker for nothing.

5.) 20 Feb 2019 12:58:45
You're right Al but the contra to that is; can you put someone in just to have a look in the hope that they may come good or, at the run in do you need 11 players you know can do a job and ones you can rely on, as every point counts. Is it the time to experiment?

6.) 20 Feb 2019 18:17:21
You're right leodis, I meant by bringing him on for half an hour in the next couple of games, if not, release the Shack 😊.

18 Feb 2019 19:42:20
Brom fans celebrating Roofe being out for the match. He's only scored one in his last eight games, so B n B can do better. Might be a blessing in disguise. All we need now is to get Batty out of retirement so he can give Gayle something to really fall over about.

1.) 18 Feb 2019 21:22:26
Who needs Batty when we've got Phillips? 😁😁😁.

2.) 18 Feb 2019 21:35:58
Could be a blessing as you say. Bielsa will make adjustments which may make us less predictable short term which hopefully will give us an extra edge.
Hope Bamford stays fit for the run in and shows us his full potential.

3.) 19 Feb 2019 01:10:35
Real classy them baggies boys eh?

4.) 19 Feb 2019 08:44:50
Roberts and Bamford could start a bit of a partnership.

5.) 19 Feb 2019 16:24:04
Roberts needed by England for the 6 nations match against Wales, could be a great with those conversions.

18 Feb 2019 19:25:31
Being fined Β£200k for not breaking a rule seems a tad harsh, but better than fretting on a points deduction.

17 Feb 2019 17:45:12
Hi all. Looking at it all dispassionately, from a statistical perspective, Brom, Blades and Canaries will all end the season with a goal difference of 30ish. We will hit 24 max judging by what we have done to date. Thus, if the difference between automatics and playoffs is goal difference, we are in the playoffs. Hard to forecast Bristol. On the positive side, the aforementioned teams can win by large margins a few times whilst we win by one and waste numerous chances in each game, but win one game more and we will still go up automatically. Having Brom, Blades and Bristol bunched up will tell us a lot. One prediction I can make with near certainty, "It's going to be emotional" - put your best Vinnie or Jason Statham voice on for the last bit. Onwards n upwards. MOT.

1.) 18 Feb 2019 09:18:32
Personally, I'd settle for another 14 1-0, 2-1, 3-2 wins :)

2.) 18 Feb 2019 13:11:39
Time to do a post mortem after, when we dead,? what about trying to avoid death, putting things to stop that from happening , I am so pleased I don’t work for you lot.

I worry that you are right Currie. Blades n Brom's Jan signings astutely strengthened already strong teams. I think Bristol will be in the mix at the expense of Dery or Boro, hopefully Derby, who last time i looked were losing to Millwall.

The ship has sailed on the goal difference front. Not realistically going to catch the others now, not enough games left. I do wish at times, that rather than seeming to try and almost walk the ball in most times, we would blast it.

Hi Tewit. I see your point, but it reads a bit dismissive, though I would guess unintentionally. Metiss, part of me thinks that whilst there are likely to be loads of contributory factors, naivety may play a big part. I thank that Radz and Orta are still not as knowledgeable as they would hope, not a criticism- they have come along way on a bit of a rollercoaster in a short time - not long ago they were buying out Hecks contract with the Titans Barnsley, then they land a manager with real pedigree and sign a player from Real Madrid. A long way from Hockaday era. If the wheels do come off, I am going to put it down to mistakes were made by a few people, but they were made with the right intent. I am not going to blame any of the key strategists. Whatever happens now they have give it a bloody good shot and so far provided a highly entertaining nail biting season. Superb!
