The Sun are saying Guardiola is going to bid for Clarke in January.

1.) 04 Dec 2018 17:54:14
They can't afford him.

2.) 05 Dec 2018 00:55:16
£974m plus we get Silva and Aguero.

3.) 05 Dec 2018 01:02:56
OI, Guardiola, FORK OFF.

4.) 05 Dec 2018 07:02:39
Be a bad move for him whatever the price

Look at the game time Foden is getting

Stay lad, stay.

5.) 05 Dec 2018 08:41:41
I hope it’s just media talk. He would just get lost in the City set up like so many others but with some degree of short term or more financial security. This is one of the reasons why promotion is important to me and I believe to the club. It will give us more to offer and allow us the chance of retaining more of the talent we are developing for longer.

6.) 05 Dec 2018 11:37:43
It's more carp from the S*n, like Pep would PERSONALLY be keeping tabs on the lad. No wonder Citeh are so poor eh?

16 Nov 2018 22:33:12
If Blackman is on his way back to Chelsea, injured playing with the kids and not having been played in the first team, I cannot see Chelsea or others queuing up to loan us players. Things like this and the Ideguchi debacle make us like a less than attractive destination at times. More BPF, great.

1.) 16 Nov 2018 23:22:07
Nah. A very unfortunate incident. Hope he recovers well, but no slight on Leeds for an injury.

2.) 16 Nov 2018 23:35:04
Agree Tory, can't see why we signed him on loan if we were not prepared to play him in our first team. He more than proved himself at Sheffield utd. Our squad looking very thin at the moment with the injuries.

Phil Hay as put out an odd update regarding Roofe. Says that club waiting a couple more months before putting offer to him, whilst they decide what they want do, but Roofe's agent is worried that the club will be unable to give him what he wants, which sounds ominous. Club are confident that they can make an offer that he will like. Poses as many questions as it answers.

1.) 07 Nov 2018 17:14:07
Typical of Phil Hay, really. Hedging his bets, because he rarely knows anything!

2.) 07 Nov 2018 17:46:24
Aww, come on Bright, Mr Hay is a "respected journalist" he's brilliant at cut n paste as well ;)

3.) 07 Nov 2018 20:36:32
You’re right AL. I’m sorry Mr finger on the pulse Hay! 😉🤪.

4.) 10 Nov 2018 08:10:57
Steady lads i questioned Mr Hays journalistic abilities a while ago on here and got lambasted, even one of the EDs had a dig. To me he just puts out sound bites to keep his keep his followers interested. Half the hacks today are not journalists, you could spend every day in ER shop and be more informed than him.

5.) 10 Nov 2018 08:22:32
Fact is Roofe still has 20 month to run on his contract. Next season will be his last if he does not get a new contract. Why would him and his agent want a contract now before knowing if we are in Premier league or not. A transfer is totally different and nothing to do with his contract.

6.) 10 Nov 2018 13:24:05
Quite right BIGE, and of the 3 clubs mentioned, 2 of them are bottom bumpers (oooer missus) and I can't see him getting too many games for Wolves.

7.) 11 Nov 2018 10:13:51
BIGE. the man could do a lot worse than just reading this website to get up and informed.

04 Nov 2018 10:19:17
Sunday Mirror reporting that club is struggling to get Roofe to sign a new contract and as word has got out, Premiership clubs circling for January.

1.) 04 Nov 2018 13:27:55
If there is a good offer for him early in Jan, not the end of the world depending how the money is used and if Bamford is available. Wouldn’t be the end of the world.

2.) 04 Nov 2018 16:16:42
It's rubbish. It's leeds that having put a deal togeather yet.

3.) 04 Nov 2018 17:54:42
His contract runs till 2020, don't think there's much chance of him leaving, especially to the clubs that are supposedly after him.

4.) 04 Nov 2018 19:52:15
10 mill and he has to go . that's business and he's not.

5.) 05 Nov 2018 15:23:10
£10M? don't think Radz would even sit back and contemplate it . £20M and then maybe negotiations would start.

6.) 05 Nov 2018 15:59:49
Christ AL, Roofe is pretty good, but for £20m I would want the Pontiff wearing Adidas Samba up front with his old man in our number one shirt.

7.) 05 Nov 2018 17:16:07
Depends on whether Radz wants to keep him. If he's willing to let him go, and probably Bub as well, then might as well take £10M. On the other hand, if we want him to stay then at least £20M to open negotiations. They're PL clubs supposedly after him, make them pay through the nose.

Just been reading a few rumours and I am getting a tad weary of us being linked with "up and coming" players in late teens / early 20s. Surely our recent use of our younger players shows that we do not need to raid other people's under 23s etc. I have faith in the kids that we already have.

1.) 03 Dec 2018 14:35:48
Tory, I think you are right about the quality that we have in the under 23s but I also think it’s good policy to keep an eye on the youngsters that are available to join the group. I think we’ve shown that you can pick up some good prospects in this way as well.

2.) 03 Dec 2018 15:13:57
Yes it's always good to keep the conveyor belt rolling so long as it doesn't interfere with right here, right now.

3.) 03 Dec 2018 17:07:41
I’m all in favour of a few more “for the future”. Doesn’t do any harm!

4.) 03 Dec 2018 18:12:32
Any one that improves on what we have is the way forward.

29 Nov 2018 12:07:50
How on earth does someone score 5 away from home and still not return with 3 points?

1.) 29 Nov 2018 13:31:24
Crap defence?

2.) 29 Nov 2018 18:07:28
That there John Terry is a crap defence coach then.

3.) 29 Nov 2018 20:55:35
JT must be a really poor defensive coach, I mean, conceding 5 at home to the bloody florists? first time they've scored 5 in how long?

4.) 29 Nov 2018 23:38:20
Hilarious, innit!?

27 Nov 2018 21:39:43
Remember gents, "You'll win nowt wi kids". Yeah whatever blossom. MOT.

26 Nov 2018 13:05:55
33 points from 18 games. Any predictions as to what we will get from the next 18? I am going 28.

1.) 26 Nov 2018 14:02:41
38 is my guess :)

2.) 26 Nov 2018 16:54:50
I’m going for 40. 👍👍⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️.

3.) 26 Nov 2018 23:25:15
If we continued that form to the end of the season it would give us 84pts and looking at last years table, it would have given us 4th spot and the play offs. Would you take that now if offered? Personally I wouldn’t, I see only the top 2 positions and automatic promotion, but then I am biased.

4.) 27 Nov 2018 12:48:00
I can see a lower total winning the league this year as it is so open - much less so than last year and the top teams will continue to lose points as the season progresses. Nobody has really taken the league by the scruff of the neck yet but hopefully with players coming back from injury we will be the ones to take advantage.

5.) 27 Nov 2018 15:33:28
i'd bite hand off for playoffs and think we might scrape playoffs or finsih as low as 7th. west brom, norwhich, borough looking better than us for top two. Sadly I think unless we strenghteen in jan we will be outclassed in playoffs as well, but then i am negitive.

15 Nov 2018 14:24:55
Radrizzani doing a good job of galvanizing Championship opposition to Sky deal, saying we get poor return for tv coverage and subsequent affect on attendance and disruption for fans. EFL worried.

On another note, Well dressed bloke, pinstripe suit, patent leather shoes, walking purposefully around a town centre with an upturned welly boot on his head.

Bystanders quietly chuckling and sneering etc, others contemplating with furrowed brows, mostly having no desire to approach him to satisfy their curiosity. Little old lady, curved spine and stooping over her walking stick, observes him for a while, before approaching him. "Excuse me you man, why are you wearing a welly on your head"? He replies, "I always wear a welly on my head on Wednesday". Perplexed and frowning she says, "It's Tuesday", he says, "Ferk me, I feel a right knobhead now".
