So, view from the stand last night. rode out luck first half, but dug in and showed great desire and team spirit, klich was exceptional first half, shaunassey looks a real find, Taylor got a lot of joy first half down the left, once we brought sacko on 2nd half it stopped Taylor going fwd as he was wary of sackos pace, got to say it's as well as I have seen hadiki play in a long time, Taylor looked scared of him. bringing Pablo on as a 10 with 20 to go was the key sub, he got his foot on the ball and we started playing. some top performances with klich being our mom by a mile for me. great to see the fans come over at the end, sacko beradi and alioski giving their shirts to the fans was a nice touch. alaw. mot!

Great insight and post. alaw . mot

Thanks Leeeeds really appreciate the post match update for those of us unable to make the the game your feedback is very much appreciated. Klich has been THE player I've been very excited to see the potential. Was he our first signing? Clearly the recruitment team realised there was something we needed to cash in on 👍

3.) 21 Sep 2017 13:40:50
He was def the best player on the pitch (both teams) . can see him pushing for a start in the championship very soon

4.) 21 Sep 2017 21:13:20
I think he was the first signing who hadn't already played a season with us

What's Callum wilsons situation at Bournemouth, is he injured or just not making the squad? . he would be a good signing if he's fallen down the pecking order there

{Ed001's Note - injured.}

So, first game up Sunday, can't wait. for all our new signings I think we will only have 2 outfield 'new' players starting the game, probably alioski and Pennington, our bench looks much stronger than last season, still don't see a huge amount of goals in our team but hope I am wrong, which 2 out of about 6 would you start in centre mid? . viera not featured much in pre season due to being with England, klich not fully fit yet, bridcutt seems slightly out of favour. o Kane/Phillips?

1.) 04 Aug 2017 07:49:11
Leeeeeeds, I think you are probably right although Klich might sneak in ahead of Phillips depending on how he is doing with his fitness. OKane seems to have impressed enough to have taken one of the central spaces for now, so tough competition for the other spot. Like you I would start with Hernandez, knowing that we have an alternative to come on later in the game. After a few games that might switch around with Hernandez the one coming on later. It's hard to tell what the boss thinks of Viera. I'm going to the Port Vale game and that is going to be interesting to see who gets a run out. Good Luck to all the team, let's get out there and have a great start to the season!

2.) 04 Aug 2017 11:52:42
Starting with O'Kane and Phillips in midfield or Bridcutt basically means nothings changed with no goal threat I'm certain one or two new recruits will establish themselves ahead of two of these players, 18,000 S/T sold Marching up Together.

3.) 04 Aug 2017 23:18:07
Viera was busy over the summer with England so needs a break. Big squad now so we can. Also needs to improve his passing.

18 Jul 2017 22:55:07
This isn't a negative post. but, did the squad we had last season really need 10 players (plus still looking) . seems odd for a team which finished 7th, I attended all but 4 games home and away and I can say I'm my opinion (and most of the lads I go with, we probably needed 5.left back, centre half, centre mid who can score, a good winger and an option up too with mr wood, just hope with bringing in all these players it doesn't disrupt too much of what we had, And take too long to gell. fingers crossed for the new season. 🤞

1.) 18 Jul 2017 23:29:58
Remember with all them signings, some of them were development squad, Gomez and Machuca, some were loans from last season, Pontus and Sakho and Hernandez.

2.) 18 Jul 2017 23:45:35
And. Were we really as good as 7th last season, or should we really have been 10th or 12th ?

3.) 19 Jul 2017 00:16:09
Leeeeds I really don't think its far off. Look at it this way - we had Sacko and Jansson on loan (2) , we needed to replace Taylor, Bartley, Pedraza (5) Tunbull left and at least one of Green/Silvestri looks to be leaving so another Keeper (6) Then we looked short 1 CB, 1 AM and 1 ST last year, in my opinion (9) . We have signed 8 senior players so far and I would still like to see another CB, LB and a LW so 11 in overall but we have had 9 out going so far and another few set to leave (Erwin and Dave) .

If alioski signs, surely the 1.6 we spent on sacko would have been better spent elsewhere (towards a cb ? ) . Which players are going to be surplus now, will Dallas, o Kane
Bridcutt, Phillips all still be in the new managers plans, I presume viera will be and the new pole. if siaz signs and Proves to be a success then Pablo could be a great sub to have at times for last 20 in games. anyone actually seen this alioski play (other than u tube clips? )

We played well in patches Aus, very slow build up play from the back at times, Ipswich pressed us high up the pitch and forced a lot of errors on us, not convinced by our keeper at all, Ayling was probably our best player in my opinion, still not convinced on Alioski, can't fault his work rate or his touch but he over hits most of his crosses and his decision making at times is poor, sometimes wonder if he would be better at left back in some games, if sacko was doing some of the things alioski does he would be getting slated by the crowd.

Still am a fan of the way we play wex, never said I wasn't, not every team is going to 'let' us play, millwall started strong, bullied us more or less all over the pitch, saiz, Hernandez and alioski were virtually anonymous, some games it may be that we need to get a foot hold in the game And introduce them off the bench once the game has opened up and calmed down.

I went to the game yesterday curahee and in my opinion that game was for players like Dallas/viera, I can see why he didn't change a winning team but we got outfought all over the pitch, they picked all the 2nd balls up. don't really remember us creating anything of note. jury still out on alioski for me personally, not sure if he's been over hyped, lassoga needs to be a lot more phisical but that will come as he gets more used to the championship, just hope Pontus didn't pull his hamstring and just felt a tweak, we only have shaunassey available for Tuesday night as it stands and he's a make shift centre back.3 points next Saturday and we will be back on track. 👍
