Linked to Leon Osman on a free from Everton. Good or bad signing if comes off? I personally think it'd be a good signing even if he is 35. Decent footballer who created chances and scores a few goals too. Experienced head too to have alongside the likes of Cook and Mowatt. What does everyone else think?

1.) 02 Jul 2016 18:13:00
I would take him as a squad player all day long.

2.) 03 Jul 2016 09:18:10
I'd take him. Brings with him experience that can only help our young midfield. Monk only has a 1 year rolling contract and with Celinio having no patience he has to hit the ground running. I'd expect more signings like this, that might not be ones for the future, but hopefully can push us on
This season. However, it's imperative we keep our young stars and it seems to have gone quiet on the contract extension front.

3.) 03 Jul 2016 16:39:26
sorry we don't want squad players we want first teamer's.

4.) 03 Jul 2016 19:43:40
We need a right balance between youngsters and experience so would be a great signing.

5.) 04 Jul 2016 18:58:10
I agree with a lot above, experience and real proper footballing experience is imperative in our squad, I'd definitely take him on a year deal. An old head in the dressing room with real experience and knowledge to draw on when needed is something we haven't really had for a while.

Don't talk to me about Michael Brown and Michael Tongue haha.

Have heard Sharp to be benched today in favour of Mowatt & Doukara to partner Antennucci up front

Mel Sterlands body double

1.) Appears I heard wrong! It's not Mowatt, it's Sloth.

2.) Mowatt was in contention for a place in the XI, but was carrying a knock. That was a pretty special performance today.

3.) 21 Sep 2014 08:01:06
Sharp didn't get on, feel sorry for the lad too when antenucci an doukara are firing. Thought sloth, bianchi, antenucci, doukara and cook was different level, huddersfield didn't offer much going forward but bellusci an co did well

Pearson signs Bamba then get suspended - maybe someone on the Derby board clearly saw his performances for Leeds over the past 6-12 months and thought Pearson is having a laugh.

Awful goal to give away. Silvestri went walk about on a cross then Wooten tries to turn it behind but spoons it into an empty net!

I've had no response so far on social media so will try on here - who do fans propose Cellino sell the club to? I agree with most fans that he is a duck but he's a duck that's funding us at the mo - who else has the cash?

Mel Sterlands body double

1.) 15 Feb 2016 19:44:15
I think they have very short memories, maybe they'd like Mr Bates to buy us back and sell all our best players to Norwich to fund his pocket money.

2.) 15 Feb 2016 20:00:44
If these clowns keep it up might be back there again.

3.) 15 Feb 2016 20:31:44
The guy who organised the projection is too busy patting himself on the back to actually answer who will be a viable, realistic option to buy Cellino out. I think Cellino has reached the end of his time with us but until someone else actually had the money and wants to buy us what are we supposed to do? I can't really understand the thinking behind giving constant stick to him, if he pulls his cash out then what? We need a buyer lined up otherwise we could end up with just anyone owning us and back in the same cycle we've had with Bates, GHF (who amazingly are getting away without a mention in the protests for some strange reason) and Cellino with the fallouts, frustrations and bad feelings.

{Ed003's Note - Bates's image was projected aswell on the side of the stand.}

4.) 15 Feb 2016 20:35:02
agree agree agree agree agree. all mouth no substance should be millwall or arsenal fans, no memory, no logic and no clue in my opinion.

5.) 15 Feb 2016 20:39:34
Ed003 Who cares. ? We are Leeds, these idiots aren't!

{Ed003's Note - They obviously do care 'these idiots'!! they just have a different view from you.}

6.) 15 Feb 2016 21:02:22
You're right Ed, they're are fans just like the rest of us and they're also entitled to their view. I personally have no problem with people having a different view or them even airing it, my worry is there is no one out there with the funds to replace Cellino at the mo. If the protest force him out and someone comes in with the millions and we all live happy ever after then brilliant but I worry it never works lit like that for us.

{Ed003's Note - that's a fair point,I just don't like people insulting others with a different view.}

7.) 15 Feb 2016 21:11:02
Agree again with you Ed, name calling not needed just because views are different, sure it's just down to frustration. We're all Leeds on here no matter what our opinions are on things, in the long run we all want Leeds to be great again we just have different ideas on how that will be achieved.

{Ed003's Note - Agreed Mel.}

8.) 16 Feb 2016 08:17:33
That's what makes this site so interesting Mel/ Ed is the opinions granted sometimes peoples opinions can get a bit personal sometimes but I agree Its not malicious it probably is just frustration boiling over! Wherever there is a problem, there will always be a solution, whenever there is Ying there is a yang, it's dark at night but you know that the sun will come up in the morning, science says that there is negative and positive, you can't have 2 negatives it just doesn't happen, I'm getting a bit deep 😂 but I guess my point is keep the faith err on the side of positivity you will get what you focus on! i'm a big believer in fate, and I know our fortunes will change for the better soon, I feel we are in transition at the moment but I also feel we are heading in the positive direction there will be some negativity along the way, but If we the fans and the club keep heading in a positive direction, we will all get we focus on, and fate will probably decide if Massimo stays or goes, if he goes there will always be someone who will love to takeover! Would it be better or worse? Who knows again that's down to my old mate Fate, we are Leeds! we keep on marching, until we find our victory Keep the faith people Keep the faith! 😂 😎.

Maybe those fans putting the posters up outside the ground and hounding Cellino could explain who they feel he should sell up to? He's not particularly my favourite person and has annoyed me at times (Hockaday, pie tax, minimum away game allocation, to name but a few) but who do they think is waiting in the wings with enough cash to buy us, clear the debt and fund us?

Mel Sterlands body double

1.) 12 Feb 2016 14:00:10
great post Mel.

2.) 12 Feb 2016 15:16:26
Cheers BW, I can understand their frustrations as I think someo things he says and does are bonkers but what do they think would happen if he thought "sod it" and pulled his cash out? The fans group don't have the cash to sort the problems, neither does Parkin so chasing him off is not going to do any good unless there is someone who can step into the breach which as far as I can see there isn't anyone at the mo.

3.) 12 Feb 2016 19:08:16
also for what it is worth think you have the best name on here. I played football the other night (play often as keeper) and got called neveil Southall in disguise which I thought was a great put down for me and made me chuckle so I might change my name to that.

Tickets thru for Bolton in Saturday. Last time I was there we got beat 4-1 and relegated from the premier league! Hopefully better performance this wknd - would love a good cup run.

Think you can pretty much bank on us not getting relegated on Saturday Mel. Sadly that's about all you can bank on.

Let Bristol City have him, we need someone who scores regularly. Not likely at this time of the season but no point in signing someone just for the sake of it.

He'd surely be good to have around the place. Always works hard and would definitely nick a few goals too. Would depend on what money he wants (that's if Monk wants him)

Yeah get we did ok apart from the first half an hour when we gave them too much respect which meant they gave us the run around. The frustrating thing is, even though they dominated that first half hour, they only had the one chance of note when Gayle got on the end of that quick free kick so Green's cock up was a big blow but fair play, we bounced back and had a go at them. We were never going to come back from the 2nd goal which was a good goal but we didn't fold like we would've done in previous seasons although I do think Newcastle took their foot off. I think Viera looked a bit lost today but we shouldn't be too harsh as he's still young and learning. Ayling impresses me each time I see him - other than Grimes (& possibly Green) I've been impressed with the signings Monk has made so far. In January maybe we could make a few of the loan signings made permanent and - couple of new faces to add a bit more competition and have a real crack at it. Let's be honest, we knew it was going to be difficult to compete with Newcastle, they've spent big money to be the best side in this league and they'all run away with it. At the start of the season I expected a top half finish and still think we're on course for that but depending how well we do over Xmas we could still have a real good go at the play offs. I know we lost today but I feel much more positive today than I did after the defeat at QPR on the first day of th season or at home to Birmingham. Still plenty of room for improvements but we're moving in the right direction - today reminds us how far we have to go that's all.

I think it was Hernandez at fault, not Bartley. Wasn't much Bartley could do in that situation really. Other option would have been to shut the guy with the ball down but that probably would have led to the same pass being made but just a bit earlier. Hernandez should have protected the ball better or made a pass. Not knocking him, he played well and every player makes mistakes during a game, I just don't think on this occasion it was Bartley's altho I could be wrong.
