Listen to this guys. Leeds apparently looking at Venancio, he’s a defender and spent last season on loan to the Wendies, well one of their supporters has put on Twitter, “Venancio would not want to go to Leeds United as it would be like swapping your really fit girlfriend for Les Dawson! ” What a Richard Head! 😂😂

1.) 06 Jun 2018 23:25:15
I hope we get him, just to pee the wendies off :)

2.) 07 Jun 2018 09:29:20
Didn't Hull supporters say AH would not sign for Leeds ?

06 Jun 2018 21:28:00
I know as well as all the other posters on here that we should tried carefully with our optimism and our aspirations, that said, I do believe credit where credit is due and to be optimistic when the signs are looking good.

IMO, Radz showing the balls to sack Rockbottom and then straight away we are linked with a great manager, so credit for that but my optimism comes from reports that Stockdale and Hernandez are on the verge on signing, even without a manager being decided we are still looking for good signings, but these signings are a big step up from what we usually look at! now I hear that Radz would like to sign Kodja, another solid player that would bring a lot to Elland Road.

So I think the optimism is coming back and a good feeling is generating around Leeds, still cautious though but if Radz carries on like this then happy days all round. 👍👍

1.) 06 Jun 2018 23:29:44
I have the feeling that this year Radz might splash some cash, we're good with FFP so, in theory we can stand to lose £39M this season plus the 49ers £10M. Of course that means we need to get promoted or there'll be nowt to spend for the next 2 seasons :)

2.) 07 Jun 2018 17:49:20
Mike I agree, I'm carefully thinking this could be the start of something good! I also have a fair bit of faith in Radz and I think he wouldn't have sacked the heck without, at the very least, positive discussions with another target. Here's to hoping. MOT!

3.) 07 Jun 2018 18:51:32
Do you mean Kodjia Mike?

4.) 07 Jun 2018 20:36:55
Probably Alf, didn’t have my glasses, near enough though mate 👍

5.) 08 Jun 2018 11:42:11
Let's hope the positivity and optimism is rewarded! Good post Mike! I've read that we shouldn't expect any announcements until Tuesday. How true, I don't know, but fingers crossed as usual.

04 Feb 2018 22:13:34
That proves that Radz although building for the future was unhappy with our progress, it’s been awhile coming but it is the right decision, now we need someone who demands respect and does not allow players to take the proverbial! I do feel sorry for TC and I would like to thank him for his commitment but it’s a results business and it just wasn’t happening! Onwards and upwards MOT

1.) 04 Feb 2018 22:25:41
There still remains the problem of Victor Orta, whoever fills TCs shoes has that obstacle ahead.

18 Jan 2018 20:58:41
Well £4.5M shows intent, I’m not overly excited but I only know what I’ve been told by Boro supporters, so as someone posted below, he needs to be given a chance so here’s hoping he is just what we need, another teams cast offs can end up being a gem elsewhere! So if this signing is anything to go by then we might be in for a really big surprise striker! Very positive move though. MOT

1.) 19 Jan 2018 02:51:07
Agree Woody. Price is quite high but he is experienced and appears to be able to create. May be just what we need.

2.) 19 Jan 2018 08:05:03
Sounds like Bridcut when he was on loan kiwi. Woody old lad your right as well. Look at bamba now at Cardiff? They love him.

3.) 19 Jan 2018 09:36:45
Personally think he is a good signing. Not a cast off in my opinion just a player who in a Pulis side won’t see the ball as his sides bypass midfield. So basically we have a player who doesn’t fit in to long ball style of play which for me shows the way TC wants to play.

17 Jan 2018 18:09:26
Forshaw having a medical as we speak! Don’t know what to make of this one, I’m concerned that we have bought another midfielder that has been out of form since 2016 and costing us £2M, happy days for Boro me thinks!

1.) 17 Jan 2018 19:40:15
Mikewoody, can’t get me Head round this one, mad 😡

2.) 17 Jan 2018 20:05:23
Whitewoman, it's easy to fathom. We need another midfielder numbers wise with Klich's obvious imminent departure. We also require more British engine room in there. Okane more interested by his humanist wife, Phillips is tired, RV injured.

3.) 17 Jan 2018 20:27:35
I’m the same as Whiteman George, I understand what you are saying but why him, we had someone very similar who in my opinion was better which is Bridcutt! Surely we have enough choice in midfield and it would of been better spent going towards a proven striker! Also Ulloa looks like he’s on his way to Villa on loan, he would of been a good signing, so would of Grabbon, i mean why are we spending £2M on a player who is short of games and not at his best when we could put that money towards players like Grabbon! Why do we always seem to buy players that no one else wants, we never seem to be one of a few named teams in for certain players! There are no interested teams in our buys because of a bloody good reason!

4.) 17 Jan 2018 20:52:43
Hes a good player. Who were you expecting lads? A new striker is on the way also.

5.) 17 Jan 2018 22:21:14
Come on guys, we have been asking for players with championship experience now we go out and get one he is being slated as second rate. Think some need a reality check, maybe we should persevere with klich! Let's at least give the guy a chance before passing judgement, yes he may once have been brought by orta, but don't let this cloud your judgement.

6.) 17 Jan 2018 22:48:29
Oh well. Sign a player, and start bitching. let's just see what he delivers, first, then we can all twatwaffle full throttle if he doesn't . Give the man a chance first though.

7.) 18 Jan 2018 07:26:24
Reports today that this is a done deal and the general consensus from the press is that this is a good move for us so I'm willing to give him a try - just hope he is reasonably fit, although clearly won't be match fit as yet.

8.) 18 Jan 2018 13:30:43
If Ulloa is off to Villa, they might not bid for Marriott, who I think would be a better prospect. MM

I know we all have differing opinions on this site and that’s why it works so well. With that in mind I would like other posters opinion on this: why does Radz mess around with signings? Hernandez is quality and is now reported to be on his way to the Turks, they have offered him the equivalent to £33,360 a week, why can’t we match or beat that? after all we can afford to pay 3 duffers £15k a week! So why not stop all thus trying to get quality on the cheap? Hernandez is worth in this climate £40k a week, and we can afford to pay a good manager his worth to! The trouble is we fanny around trying to get bargains and cheap deals, it’s got to stop and an earlier poster commented that because our targets are taking to long to decide that we should say stuff you if you have to think about coming to Elland Road! Well what about if Leeds take to long in offering them what they are worth, don’t they have the right to say stuff Leeds? It’s high time that the powers that be STOP messing around, find a target and sign him, find a quality player and sign him, not next week, not next month but as soon as possible! There are only a few days left before the WC and we have not done anything but talk, we deman to watch players that are worthy of our hard earned money, there are teams in the Premiership that charge less to watch a game than Leeds charge, and we are in a league lower! We deserve better, it’s about time we saw players that are worthy of the shirt that so many legends have worn and to get that you have to pay up!

1.) 10 Jun 2018 08:03:42
Agree mikewoody, if Radz was thinking that he would be binning Hecky at the end of the season, then he should have identified his new target and gone and got him. Too much messing about now trying to find a manager and then going after players . Either he learns from last season's mistakes, buys decent players or just continues with his business model and 5 year plan. I do think he is putting all his eggs in the basket and hoping to get Bielsa and holding fire on player recruitment, which might suggest he wants new boss to have a say.

2.) 10 Jun 2018 08:21:24
You’re probably right Mezzer, which in some ways sounds like Radz will let him have a say in transfers hopefully! I see in the paper this morning and in news now that Leeds want Vydra and at £10M but they want to put Pearce in as part of the deal! Who comes up with these stupid stories!

3.) 10 Jun 2018 09:38:13
I hope that the stories represent genuine intent from the club to sign a quality coach and players rather than a rous to boost season ticket sales. It would be the straw that breaks the camel's back if after all the talk we end up with Tisdale or Ferguson and our prestige sign is Jerry from Carpi

4.) 10 Jun 2018 10:09:12
Great first post Mike, couldn't agree more, plenty of talking, but not doing any doing as yet does make me wonder if it is a tactic to flog season tickets. We have had this with previous owners regarding recruitment. This Managerial appointment and Transfer Window will tell us everything about our current Owner and his ambitions for the club's future.

5.) 10 Jun 2018 12:47:12
Begining to doubt we will get Bielsa seems to be dragging on. We always take ages to get anything done. Bleak on player front as well with all decent ones we are linked with getting interest elsewhere so nothing looking good at the minute. Meanwhile Jerry is waiting in the wings, are we signing him or not, why leave it up in the air or is he the fallback when no one else is available.

6.) 10 Jun 2018 13:23:57
LUFCfev; you're absolutely Bob on there pal. This is a vital appointment, and the recruitment this summer has to be better than we've had for many seasons. Hopefully things will start moving more swiftly this week, as I'd heard that Bielsa had been given the weekend to say yes, or no. If it's no, then the only appointment after that which I would be truly satisfied with, is Ranieri. Both guys can attract the calibre of player that Mike Woody, and the rest of us all want to see!

7.) 10 Jun 2018 14:21:27
Mikewoody great post mate, we will have to sit and wait to see what are leader will bring us, do hope that it’s better then last season, as for the manager anything has to be better than dog bottom.

04 Jun 2018 23:19:47
What’s your thoughts Whiteman matey. I agree with the posts from Brightwhite, Mezzer, Al and LUFCfev. This could be a defining moment in our history or it could go belly up but as George said, it will be a ride, a rollercoaster ride, but isn’t that what we’ve been on for years! Everybody on this site seem optimistic and IMO it’s the most excitement to a Pre season we have had for a long time! This man is known by the big boys just like the Wolves boss!

1.) 05 Jun 2018 08:40:30
Groundhog Day again.

2.) 05 Jun 2018 19:08:55
Mikewoody mate, happy to see the back of dog bottom, don’t know about the new proposed manger but happy to give him the season to do something, them if he doesn’t Radz can go and shoot him self, as for players well think we need to see what comes our way

04 Jun 2018 23:12:41
I’m definitely with you Brightwhite on this one, IMO it’s a statement and something Radz should of done months ago! Radz has dug deep and yes he is supposed to be a loose cannon but it’s like you said Brightwhite, are we all! . Whatever the outcome this guy won’t come cheap and he won’t suffer lazy and uncommitted players, which is just what we need. This could be the most defining moment in a long time!

04 Jun 2018 18:24:24
Maybe Pontus is angling for a move because he knows with this new guy as boss he will get found out! To be honest I’d say stuff them all, everyone is under scrutiny and it’s about time they had to prove themselves because one day when we get into the Prem then they really are going to be shown for what they are and at the moment that’s pure lazy and non committed to the club! So stop moaning and whinging, get your act together and show us you care, you get nothing in this life without working hard for it, us mere mortals have to work hard for a dam site less pay than Pontus is getting! Shape up or ship out! MOT

1.) 04 Jun 2018 19:00:25
Well said Mike.

2.) 04 Jun 2018 19:30:55
Totally agree guys

3.) 04 Jun 2018 20:05:07
Couldn't agree more, he was happy enough to extend his contract to 5 years not too long ago

4.) 05 Jun 2018 13:14:07
I think he will be happy enough if we match his ambitions and that would make us fans happy as well. he just doesn't want to spend the rest of his contract playing in the Championship which is fair enough. At least one of the players has the balls to demand more rather than settling for mid table rubbish. Good for Pontus, I say.

5.) 05 Jun 2018 15:37:07
Maybe if he'd played more like he meant it last season then he has the right to ask what ambitions we have. But, after last season, poor form, "injuries" and all he should get his head down and get ready to warm the bench during the world cup

02 Jun 2018 21:13:43
Ok lads, am I the only one who thinks that Aston Villa’s valuation for Jack Grealish is absurdly over the top? The club have valued him at £40 million! they have gone mad, if he is worth that sort of money then we have seriously been short changed ourselves by selling Taylor, Cook and Wood for peanuts! The football world has gone mad, IMO he’s not worth £12M. What do you all reckon to that mind blowing news? 👎👎

1.) 02 Jun 2018 21:37:24
It's known as the try and quick fix the FFP rule problem valuation.

2.) 02 Jun 2018 23:43:25
Couldn't believe it when I saw that figure mike! I'm sure the media contributes to the inflated prices these days!

3.) 03 Jun 2018 22:15:33
Trumps fake news Brightwhite, don’t you just love the media, I mean who would believe that never mind pay it! And people think us Leeds fans are deluded eh mate! I’m thinking though that at £60M it’s a good job we haven’t priced Cooper out of a move by being greedy! 😂😂

That would be fantastic Mezzer, not to much ask for is it? and surely our time is due, we’ve been in the wilderness to long now, it really must be time to seriously challenge!

Perfectly said Mezzer, It’s as simple as that! The Leeds supporters will soon forgot who Bruce played for if he gets us playing again! They will soon forgive Big Sam for boring football if he gets us up! In fact whoever gets us going in the right direction will be given god like status, all we need is Radz to make it happen! Just think how much time and money Radz would of saved by appointing a proven manager in the first place!

I totally agree with all sides but I would lay all my misgivings aside just to have a manager that can take us forward, don’t really care who as long as they can handle the club and our expectations! Just give us something to shout about and be proud of, it’s as simple as that 👌

I tell you what we could do. how about telling Bournemouth that we will forget what’s owed when Lewis makes his possible England debut and we will have Lewis Grabban instead! Fair deal IMO! Could that be possible?
