Two bits of positive news doing the rounds today, Leeds are in talks with lassogo but refusing to pay anything near his ridiculous wages and Wood has been offered a 3 year extension, whether you want him to stay or not, this will put it all to bed finally, either he signs and stays or refuses and leeds cash in.

Ok ol

Definitely good management to start talking about new terms for Wood, puts the ball in his court!

This probably will divide opinion but I'm all for TC to stay and be given more of a chance. I can see the counter argument but for me let's see what he's made of. From his interviews and the start to the season we made he certainly isn't a mug in my opinion. Give him a few more games with the freedom to change things up or keep them the same if he sees fit without everybody getting on his back and let's what he can do. We've been in worse positions with better known managers.

1.) 07 Nov 2017 21:18:31
Fine by me, am sick of 4 managers a season

2.) 08 Nov 2017 06:36:29
Oleary. Bit confused why you want to give a few more games to change things. He had 8 recently and lost 7 of them. don't see the logic. We were playing well and now we are not. And we are not a lot. What diff can more games make? He has tried heaps of diff players and they are all failing. Or he is?

3.) 08 Nov 2017 11:02:51
Think TC is on his last legs. When you play your best number 10 out of position you are clutching at straws. My take is we have too many players out of position and its telling. If we are not playing BJ bring Pearce in from U23s. let's get some balance back to the team. Put Alioski on the left where he should be. How will Sacko improve if he is sat on bench. Lassoga not doing anything so try Roofe, Cibbicki some one. let's hope Ekuban has something to show us when he comes back.

4.) 08 Nov 2017 13:45:16
Unless there are injuries in the squad meaning there is no cover, i don't think anyone should ever be played out of position. how we can expect to get the best out of a player in the wrong position is beyond me. If there are holes in the squad in certain positions then they need to be filled by either promoting youth or recruiting players.

5.) 08 Nov 2017 17:00:53
We're forced to play at least one player out of position because . WE DON'T HAVE A LEFT-BACK ! ! ! !

6.) 09 Nov 2017 09:16:47
and we keep putting the ball boys in net. Well out of position.

7.) 09 Nov 2017 13:11:13
agree to most of you replies above, but what about dallas at left back, or wing back. to me anita hasn't shown any reason why he should start, apart from having pace, makes needless tackles/fouls. what we have lacked is an enforcer type midfielder to look after saiz, remember when we sign vinnie, his sole job was to protect strachan. i feel we had that man and should have kept dave to do that role.

for me we should line up attacking against boro as monk won't know what we are capable of attacking from his time at leeds, but if we play this sideways tappy football then monk will have a system in place. i think we should go with lonergan, ayling, pontus, cooper, dallas.

midfield shaugnessy holding then 3 of viera, o'kane, phillips, siaz in number 10 rloe, if fit ekuban, if not lassoga, and use some width to supply him.

Really impressed with RV's attitude and work ethic tonight!

1.) 28 Oct 2017 11:12:33
Yep, one of the very few players who were worthy of the shirt tonight. Saiz and Lonners were up there too!

Just seen the highlights from saturdays game. What an assist from Nessy for the first goal!

31 Aug 2017 20:36:04
I think there's somebody else to come in, otherwise there would have been an announcement about that being it surely?

19 Aug 2017 13:44:57
If wood isn't picked today, who do you reckon will be up top? Ekuban/roofe/someone else?

1.) 19 Aug 2017 13:50:01
Has to be ekuban doesn't it? Perhaps the formation would change?

2.) 19 Aug 2017 14:29:29
I'd stick with the 4-2-3-1 with the top 4 being Alioski, Saiz, Hernandez and Roofe. Looking at balls into the box on the floor for Roofe to run on to. But it doesn't matter what I think, only TC knows!

3.) 19 Aug 2017 14:33:54
Anyone know what Sunderland struggle with at the back? pace, set pieces etc?

4.) 19 Aug 2017 16:47:56
I'd pick the same attacking players as the vale game

Free exchange on Woods shirts. Andrea certainly is a smooth talker.

Lasogga worries me a bit, he has averaged a goal every 3.35 games throughout his whole career, especially with his reported wage too! However his fifa 17 rating is alright ;) .

I feel like TC has been a victim of his own success. Absolutely dream start, going through a tough patch and he and the team are getting a lot of stick. Everyone goes through a rough patch, that's the nature of the beast, a couple of wins on the bounce and opinion will start to sway again. Keep the faith!

Would definitely be good to see some of the players you've mentioned get some game time! Rest allioski o Kane and ayling for the league. Couldn't think of anything worse than one of them getting injured in an early cup game and being out for months.

I think that's the papers cherry picking quotes again. There's another article in which he is quoted as saying the fans were fantastic last season and it will be nice to see them again, adding we'll definitely be bringing 5,000 because 'that's what we do'. I don't mind the bloke.

Not for me, I've liked the look of Dallas so far this season and pre season, think he's going to have a good year!

I don't think you'd ever be able to keep a player that wants to leave, I remember holloways comments on Rooney when he left Everton, he was bang on but there's nothing you can do. As regards to why sign a contract, it's good for the club because it demands more in the transfer market if someone wants a player who's on a 3 year contract as opposed to if they only had 12 months left.
