What was it?

2.) 07 Aug 2017 19:43:54
Cameron BJ joins us - thought it was going to be something we didn't know πŸ˜‚

What ever your thought or predictions on TC as the new HC then let's give him a chance and get behind him. It's going to be a tough learning curve and a big jump but at least he has played at the highest level and hopefully learned a bit during his playing career. At least he has some time to work with the Squad before the season starts which is a bonus on last season. Another chapter in our clubs history - let's hope it's a good one. All the very best of luck MOT.

I have seen some rumours on our links to Alexandru maxim. Looks good but all the clips I have seen, he has some good skills but not sure whether he will be up to scoring in championship. Everything I have seen he seems to have acres of space, space that isn't afforded in championship. He would be closed down and rendered useless imo. MC brought in players like this in his early days. Thoughts on current tumours and ability in our current league.

Peacock, I wonder if there's a similar post on a German fans rumours site saying the same thing after watching Alex on YouTube. (I mean Alex Mowatt by the way) He looks fantastic! πŸ˜‰.

2.) 05 Jan 2017 02:34:08
I've seen him play for Stuttgart on BT Sport a couple of times. He'd be a brilliant signing for us, personally think on the same par as Knockaert for Brighton. Would be a brilliant signing for us. Thought that when I first saw him. Can change games.

Afternoon all, anyone heard what is happening to Robbie McDaid? We went to a lot of effort to get him including playing over in Glanavon - not heard or seen much of him?!?

PPeacock

1.) 23 Jul 2015 15:45:34
He is playing in the development side regularly and is coming on well but he is behind the likes or Parkin and Stokes at the moment. He looks a good prospect.

2.) 23 Jul 2015 16:25:52
McDaid needs one more season in order to stake a claim for the first team. However, you're right to be concerned. He could be another Dawson. Time will tell. Both are good enough for League 2 football so don't understand why they're not out on loan.

3.) 23 Jul 2015 18:08:34
George, Tbh that's what I was hoping to hear he must be 19 by now - still, I am sure the coaches etc know what they are doing.

4.) 23 Jul 2015 21:43:42
Gimple was touted as being the next big thing and he didn't make it. Surely McDaid is ready now given that Cook broke through at just 17

5.) 24 Jul 2015 12:15:28
Still very young -some make it, others don't.The ones that do aren't necessarily the names touted early on.

6.) 24 Jul 2015 16:31:07
Did not get much playing time in U21 last season for whatever reason so will be playing catch up. Seen him twice and looks decent maybe mid season or cup games.

Hate to be a party pooper but they are not going to sit on their thumbs and let us walk it in! I know we can win it but it seems that it's not what we are capable of but more what they do to try and stop us😬Nice position to be in for a change. I hope we stuff them and everyone gets a goalπŸ˜‚ (Leeds I mean πŸ™„) . MOT

Looking forward to the game tonight. Whoever plays then as long as they play their socks off and we give a good account of ourselves then I'll be happy. Really hoping we punish them but to be honest I would rather concentrate on the League. A good cup run is ok for a couple of quid but there are too many more important games in my book. The only reason I would want to win is to beat Taylor and Wood and see their faces after the gameπŸ™„Not really the right attitude πŸ˜‚MOT.

A good performance, even if only a second string lineup, is essential. A win, not so essential. for the benefit of the long season ahead. πŸ‘†πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

2.) 19 Sep 2017 20:48:04
Totally agree to all of the above

TC has thus far done his homework and his selection has been spot on. Yesterday not quite right but I think he will of learnt a lot about the players and this league. It's early days and as I said in a previous post, we can learn from this and move on. We need to learn, adapt and keep em guessing then change it to make them work. We can all suggest what we could/should have done and all have an opinion but yesterday is past and we move on. Love the banter and reading the posts - even learning a few new words πŸ˜‚ Positivity reigns. We have a good coach, good management, we are not scratching around financially and have awesome fans. Personally- I'll take that. MOT

Completely agree mate. Yesterday was an off day but it doesn't mean the team are rubbish or we won't be challenging somewhere around the top 6 come the end of the season, just like the other week when we'd won a few playing good stuff we weren't the best team in the world and nailed on to run away with the league. From what I've seen on Facebook and twitter some of our fans jump from one extreme to the other from week to week. This is a tough league, every team can beat each other on any given day. We're still a new team working on gelling together, some times we'll get it right, sometimes we won't. So far though I'm happy with what I've seen so far and we're getting it right more often than we get it wrong. Looking forward to the next game and the rest of the season whatever it may bring.

2.) 17 Sep 2017 09:41:38
Let's see how we learn from this result, agree with the above post that we aren't a rubbish team, we are still a work in progress and promotion is earned over the course of a whole season not just one result. Newcastle lost their first few matches last season but went on to win the league. I know we will get behind the team, defeat is always hard to take but part of football and it's how we react after a defeat that matters. Come on lads this season offers so much.

16 Sep 2017 18:33:33
Well, well, closed down not able to move the ball and when we did then it was poor. Really pleased we are still top and can learn from this experience, earlier rather than later in the season. Millwall had our pants down and I think that it will make us better and stronger for the future, both in our selection for the starting 11 and tactically. We will have to continue to dig deep - it's a tough league. MOT πŸ‘

1.) 16 Sep 2017 18:49:21
Nobody walks this league it's incredibly tough and there will be days like this. we need to regroup, take our medicine, learn quickly and come back strongly when it does happen. Plus, being top makes a team even more of a target and opposition will play their hearts out to knock you down a peg. Buckle up, this season will NOT be the cakewalk some people hoped it might be.

2.) 16 Sep 2017 19:39:38
Said we have a plan b?

13 Sep 2017 21:33:03
Tough couple of weeks ahead. We are certainly going to need that Depth we now have in the squad if we are going to maintain this tempo of play. The boys are going to have to dig deep when we meet tougher opposition and keep their heads. All good thus far and really happy (although there were a few looks and spats last night😬) . Thought the use of the bench was spot on. Keep it up and keep the faith MOT

Think we will be ok with millwall. Think burnley maybe a problem. Pont will have wood in his pocket but still maybe a bridge too far. Happy to draw that one. can't see anybody other than wolves and poss sheff clubs causing us any problems.

Thought he was great on Sunday - very composed, apart from one small incident when he had a chat with the ref - without coffee πŸ™„. Looked fitter with better situational awareness and a bit more fire - let's hope he keeps it up πŸ‘.

I think Dallas should be selected ahead of Hernandez- think H will be more effective off the bench, when the opposition are fatigued. Think Dallas is stronger and fitter. H is talented but getting too tired and if up against a quick winger is far too keen to hold on to shirts and shorts! Really pleased we secured his signature 😁

All that matters is that we know that MC (whilst slightly whacky at times) had a good head for business and balanced the books. We are in the position we are today because he applied austere measures and chopped the excess fat. Had we not been in such a poor financial state I am sure he would have bought back ER as promised but the fact was that things were a lot worse than many realised. I for one will always be great full. Many forget that when he arrived we couldn't even pay the wages of staff and players etc and he paid them ahead of his take over!

Agreed. If we put him up front then with the trouble coming in from the wings will give them plenty to think about - come on Leeds. MOT
