On Newsnowleeds showing an article from Norwich saying that Leeds want to take Bechio back but can only do this if we ship out Diouffy and get him off the wage bill? wouldn't that suggest that there isn't any money for transfers only one in and one outs?

Philleeds

1.) Yes think you are right same as all the rest transfer windows promies so much delivers so little we are a shambles a laughing stock

2.) 24 Jan 2014 15:04:58
Becchio would be a terrible signing fast to abandon us for money plus his a confidence player who will take over 20 games to get scoring goals his had about 9 games at norwich not scored once we really want someone whos hit 30 and hasent been scoring who couldn't wait to leave no thanks leeds are bigger and better than that we should be getting decent players not bottam of the table reserve players

4.) I agree, Haig is no better than the rest, empty promises, it will end as another shambles. Geordiewhite

5.) 24 Jan 2014 15:27:52
Its almost jod done for publicity Dave(haigh) one more week and window closes with no money spent!

6.) Becchio was not quick to leave for money. Colin orchestrated himout of the club. This should be called Leeds garbage site. All the rumours aren't even rumoured they're made up and the site exists to sell advertising.

7.) 24 Jan 2014 18:11:24
Looks like it's not just ehj seems Ross is up for sale aswell now!

8.) Cant say I blame the owners, Diouf is being paid in excess of £12,000 a week, Becchio would likely want more than that, to come back, and given the amount of fringe players on biggish wages from last season (Thanks Warnock), I would say our overall wage bill is huge, when we offload the likes of Norris, Tonge, Drury, we won't be giving out massive wages on player.

9.) 24 Jan 2014 21:52:27
Becchio - Why Why Why do we keep bringing him up! let's remember him for what he did BUT He left last season SO for gods sake let's move on.

10.) I agree with the 9th reply, but Beckford still gets linked, and he was years ago, and even last season, and the past few seasons, we were still being linked with Alan Smith, Bowyer and Woodgate, people never move on it seems.

11.) Why would we want the Argi back?
AJ
MOT

12.) Cos we can't score?

Just a long shot here but David Haigh is probably bound by strict legal agreements that he is not allowed to divulge information although i'm sure he more than anyone wants to let fans know exactly what the state of play is. I honestly think we should try and support him although i'm sure my opinion will be unpopular reading some fans blogs. Again only an observation would any of you if you had the money stand for all the rubbish been thrown at you if you were in his shoes. I love Leeds united and always will but reading some of the rubbish he is getting for trying to do his best to buy the club is unbelievable

Philleeds

1.) I have arrived at a similar conclusion. The blocked Barnes transfer would have seen most managers resign making public the lack of support from their board. McD who had just been humbled by Rochdale and Sheffield Wednesday didn't take this great opportunity to walk away rescuing his reputation at the same time but has stayed put and said very little. My conclusion is that he must think things are going to take a significant upward turn for the better. Just hope I'm right.

Think if your prepared to give it out and have a go at the players you have to be big enough to say when you're wrong, as I certainly was with both Brown and Pugh. they've got so much stick from myself and others i'm surprised they wanted to pull on a Leeds shirt again, but I have to take my hat off to both of them, true true professionals not had games but came back in terrible conditions and literally fought for the shirt. But Ross Mc if anyone should ever slag him off again or think about it, just think back to yesterday before you decide to type. Well done the boys MOT

Philleeds

1.) Before I take anything back, I'll need to see a lot more EFFORT from some so called fringe players!

2.) When has Pugh or Brown not given 100% effort? its skill they sometimes lack and in Browns case when and when not to steam in with crunching tackles, to be fair to him he does get little slack from refs because of his past lol, but surely you can't say he doesn't try?

I personally think all the people who travel to watch Leeds from all over the place, and the fans who travel to all the away fixtures show the rest of the championship teams up.I can't afford away games but I do go to all the home games. what does tend to tee me off a bit though is how can a city like Leeds which has 750,000 inhabitants only manage to get 4% (at best) of those inhabitants to come to Elland Road. Youd think with a population of our size wed sell out every game?

Philleeds

1.) Only a certain percentage will be sports fans

of tht percentage only a percentage will be football fans

only a percentage will be leeds fans

only a percentage will be able to get to elland road every week

theres a lot of variables involved its not as simple as ''big city big crowd''

2.) Agreed there is a great deal of variables but football is the largest supported game in the UK bar none I still think 4% is poor

3.) Lets see, total attendance Prem to BSq South last season around 1.5m. Pop of England and Wales 56m that's about 3%. looks like we're above average at 4% then!

4.) 26 Aug 2013 23:39:30
pop of UK 56m don't think so try add another 10m

5.) Read again pal. Eng and Wales. don't think the Scots play in our Prem or League yet

What happened to everyone promising to come back after Bates had gone? its a local derby yes well be on TV but we need the intimidating atmosphere we had against Brighton what's happened to all the positivity? its a piss poor effort at moment. For those who can't afford it fair enough I've only just come off the dole myself but wild horses wouldn't keep me away. we need a good support guys to help the team

Philleeds

1.) Well said mate its about time we all started to march on together again ill be there again saturday and will try and get to has many games as possible this season the team and brian need are support

2.) It's Wednesday give em chance mate, might also have a lot getting tickets on the day like the cup game!

Not bothered why people stayed away I just want to take this opportunity to say thanks for coming back, I think BMD is right the crowd got the team over the line. please please please let's make ER full every home game, and you just never know what might happen.

Philleeds

1.) Thats the one thing we have over loads of the other sides in the league, a stadium that can house in excess of 36k.

Elland Road is a fortress when packed out and if we can create the same atmosphere every home game we would intimidate teams massively.

The financial rewards are obvious and substantial but the atmosphere that can be created would be priceless.

I was there yesterday and at half time I said i'd take a draw to which someone said it would be a miracle so for me we did bloody well to come back. I go to every home game and the atmosphere was electric in the second half, I assure you if that had have been last year wed have been masacred, we didn't give up just kept fighting massive point for us

Unfortunately mate you got a so called fan himself because any other Leeds fan would have talked to you for ages like you were his long lost brother given you the Leeds salute and then off down the bloody slide. A leeds fan is a Leeds fan no matter where they were born or come from
