Im sorry but how can people call bamford a gamble, we are used to signing Grot and ekuban. i think we need to start been a little positive, we have signed 4 good champ players, maybe take harrison out of that but comes with great recommendation. I don't doubt for a second we need a few more but the team has massively improved with english players who understand the league compared to last season. let's be more positive and get behind the team next year, as i think under biesla we are looking much better team with a much better manager. Good Team on paper doesn't mean S**T in this league its who wants it more and a formation/ tactics which work. no one knows how this season will go so why not be positve and get behind them. I honestly think we will win on Saturday.

Phill Just look at Bamfords goal returns over the last few years. That's where the doubt is coming from. Personally I am putting a lot of faith in the delivery from his support act. Then all he has to do is tap them in.

I know its sad to see Vieira go but i think if we are honest, he is not good enough if we are wanting to get up to the premier league. I don't even see the potential to become a prem player in him, i see him how we saw Mowatt. We all wanted them to become world class but just weren't good enough. and i think 7m is a lot of money for him, like the comment below would we be happy spending 7m if we bought him, no way. I wish him luck but i think its a great bit of business personally.
I am excited for Sunday now, i feel the squad is coming together now some really good additions.
I think we will win on Sunday, 3-1.

Looking at our squad, I don't see it as a Promotion winning team, with or without RV. Happy to be proven wrong. A few new additions but they've not played together in anger yet, so I'm thinking a 1-0 loss. Sorry.

Im not saying we are going to walk to league and have it all boxed off by feb, but i'm a lot more confident than i was 7 days ago. i think we could be under estimating how good douglas and bamford could be.

I would be very presently surprised if we won 3-1 in Sunday! I think we need to be patient in the first few months of the season. New coach, new players, new system! There will be some mistakes and some tears I suspect in trying to get it all right. I never predict defeats, so I’m just not going to say anything and hope to see a good performance with signs of a team gelling and playing attacking football!

I think we will get beat Sunday, be surprised if jansson, Douglas or Bamford play. with the exception of Douglas the signings so far are gambles, not what we were told we would be getting from Angus K. unless 2 or 3 proven championship players arrive before deadline day this squad will really struggle, that’s a fact. it’s very lightweight and nowhere near enough pace or creativity in it.

At the start of the transfer window we were linked with the forward Henandez. The midfielder Vydra. The leftback Bryan
We have bought the forward Bamford. We have bought the leftback Douglas.
Got to say Mr Radz. personally, thank you. I have always rated Bamford. If we had never been linked with Henandez i would have been overjoyed with buying Bamford. The fact we might have had a South American internafional does temper it slightly but at least Bamford isn't on the sickbed when Championship football is on offer. AND HE SCORED MORE THAN HENANDEZ LAST YEAR
If i am honest Douglas has been a bit under the radar for me. Byran plays for a team who we could possibly buy from. I didn't think we had a chance with Wolves. So i did watch some Bristol City games just to observe him and Flint. However, what excellent stats (and as for a slow left back. hello. Ian Harte anyone. he made an excellent career whilst been allegedly slow)

What 3/ 4 signings would everyone make- realistic signing however, not vydra or hernandez who want 50K a week because that just ridiculous. i don't blame the club for looking elsewhere.

Im keen to see peoples thoughts on who we should sign this summer. I think - Bartley Marriot Maddison Mcgeady We could be a different team, also have klich back as i think he could be good but just didn't get on with Christiansen. Thoughts ?

Grabban on loan, Marriott, Maddison, Ross Wallace, Ryan Fredericks, Bartley would be a good start although it does worry me when players have bad injuries and he has two very close together. We have Roberts, Klich, Coyle, Antonsson, Ideguchi to come in as well who could all potentially have an impact.

Bartley injured again. The two posh players are way over priced imo for the level they’ve been playing at. As for McGeady no thanks. Maddison of the two of what I've seen has a better chance of stepping up but what do I know as I thought Sean maguire at Preston had little chance of making the step up!

Marriott and Maddison have hints of Kemar roofe v2.0 for me. Could be the real deal but I thought that about roofe too so cautious now. Bartley had a fantastic season with us, but injuries seem to keep him sidelined. Mcgeady I have no idea. Klich definitely agree, he seems to have some class in his play. Give him another go!

Im sick of reading all the posts below, we have lost one game. Before barnsley we would have defended every player on how well and hard they have worked this year. We lose one game and we need new cb's, Ayling is rubbush, berardi isn't the player he was last year. all this rubbish. Its boring, we are 4th in the league, what more do you want from them, they go out every game and give it there all and first time in YEARS we have a team who want to play for us and excites us.
We don't need to make loads of signing, one signing can upset the whole squad. i'm happy with everything and cannot wait for tomorrow night to watch us beat forest! let's enjoy it and stop moaning at everything, we can't go all season without losing! MOT :-)

About time someone started talking with sense! There's not a player in our team I don't rate, I was stunned when I saw the score line because I couldn't watch the game. We've got the best team we've had in the championship and the best we've had for over a decade. They play for eachother and to be attracting people like Hernandez and Bridcutt along with young fresh talent like vieria.
Think we should be lucky that we even have these players let alone be writing them off. Criticism where it's due, doukara doesn't deserve first time week in week out, give someone new a chance, or just someone different, with sacko back in the team I can't see him keeping his place because roofe if on a different level to him. Player of the season so far for me from Leeds is Barts, cool head, sorts his back line, undermined by the passion in Jansson.
Last season we slated our CB's ans goalkeeper more than anyone, so monk brings in a fresh set and it's still the area we criticise the most when we lose. I'm far from disappointed, we normally have just short of 50 points in a good season by the end of it, let alone with 20 games to go! MOT

I agree to an extent but think is a little harsh on the comments from the fans below. No one has gone over the top, Baridi is very good player but first choice left back. not for me not in the big games (play offs) we have got where we are with taylor who is best in league so if he goes we need replacement.
with Dok I said all along (when people were slating and praising) he is decent player, great utliy man and great option from bench but he is now a first team starter and for me that makes hiim the weak link, I prefer sako and on pace along he can change games and win a lot of yards and quality he is maybe just better than douk. so not saying douk is useless just again if in playoffs I would prefer better in first 11.
no one has said aling is usless everyone loves aling, best rb in league and very good cb just team is weaker with him in cb as he is great at rb, again cloye great player but would worry if in playoffs and he was starting for me it comes down to this, we will probably make playoff where all teams are good, in form and playing for lives. so will baridi, douk and cloye be enough to win it?
maybe not so maybe we need a few people in, in case of injuries. I think no injuries our team can beat anyone but would worry if few are out and we are at wembley in prem play off against quality. i think that is all most on here are saying

Ill get shot for this, i'm not bothered if we sign pennington, i don't doubt for a second that last year he wasnt the best player by a long way. However i have seen it so many times that players respond better to certain managers, there is a reason he is at a team in the premier league and given him another 3 year deal.
if he comes back i hope he proves everyone wrong. Last year the team lacked respect and energy and passion, which was a massive issue. From watching that programme last night the players are clearly respect him loads and i doubt they will want to let him down.
Im excited and think the club have done great this pre-season.

Surely its just sensible ownership, we have sold rubbish players and signed brilliant championship players for the same amount of money? Its got nothing to do with Ambition. Look at derby signed loads players thinking they can cash in on there most expensive player and its back fired. if they don't offload they could be in trouble this time next year.
Who cares where the money comes from we are signing better quality than ever have so yes the ambition is there.
