Nobody knows until after the event. Last year nothing wasn't enough, this year it may be but may not be.
Provided we stay within FFP (and don't screw ourselves for next 3 years in the process) we should spend if we can improve our squad.
Value is poor in Jan but gems can be found.
Alf, 15 mill buys one player of a half decent standard (Costa as an example) so I hope we find one good one!

it is a very tough call but we know nothing ain't enough. as proved last year. we have to match the teams around us as we didn't last year
enough is also the figure that fans will allow. many on here including myself are angry at rads for providing nothing. if he puts up for a forward and a cb and we invest and still don't go up fans will be more forgiving and we are the most important thing to the club.

Just have to remember we are already paying 15 mill for Costa, so another 15 now if we don't go up we are close to the 39 mill FFP unless we generate a profit elsewhere either commercially or through player sales.

Pennington is a quality addition. A proven Championship CB like Flint costs money. Don't get wrong I'd like to see Flint arrive too but to acquire Pennington for just his weekly wage is an excellent deal in our predicament of only PJ being the quality required. You should be rejoicing. 1 more CD, a LB and Ryan Kent and our incoming transfer business ought to be at an end.

Thought Kent was a winger rather than a striker which would explain his 3 goals in 47 games. Looked really good against us last year so I wouldn't complain if signs
{Ed001's Note - he is a winger, quick and tricky but has a tendency to disappear from games as his workrate was not the best.}

Last season was Kents first full senior season, would expect him to improve a lot this term as his fitness and what not should all be a lot better. If not then him and Sacko as impact subs to add pace at the end against a tired defense would be no bad thing.
