Two goal bound efforts blocked on the six yard box.
Two great saves from the Reading keeper, both point blank from Roofe.
A couple of poor misses from Hernandez and a really bad miss from Douglas.
If the question is 'were we lucky to win? '

I know everyone is a little tired of Alioski and would like to see him dropped for at least one game.

But who do you play? Clarke can't do 90 minutes yet, Harrison has fallen out of favour in recent matches.

We had the option to drop Saiz for Forshaw to make him 'up his game' unfortunately we don't have that option with Alioski yet.

Honestly, I think Bielsa is counting the days down until Bamford and Brown bring more options to the wide and striker roles.

1.) 29 Nov 2018 16:59:49
Clarke struggled to do 90 yards without a rest.

2.) 29 Nov 2018 17:09:47
I can’t wait for Sats game . Love to see what Bielsa has learnt from the West Brom game for these tougher matches. Do we throw everything at them at the start with Clarke and Saiz taking them on? I thought there were signs on Tuesday that these two could have a great partnership. Clarke, Saiz and Hernadez is definitely attack minded.

Or do we start with a more defensive approach, hope to hold them and bring the threats on later in the game. In which case start with, Alioski or Harrison and Forshaw, Klich and KP, assuming Pontus starts.

Or a compromise, Saiz but no Clarke?

In the under 23 game Harrison was playing wing back, perhaps testing him out to give us more options.

3.) 29 Nov 2018 18:24:34
I'm quite content seeing Gjanni play first half and Jack the second. We know both players' weaknesses but 45 minutes each could be the way forward for the remainder of the season.

4.) 29 Nov 2018 18:33:00
Start with Clarke then bring Alioski on when we are 2-0 up. SU are doing well but think they will struggle at the back against our style. I have faith in our defence to blunt their attack. Do not expect them to be in top six come April.

5.) 29 Nov 2018 19:09:40
Bige Usually agree with you bro but disagree on both counts. I quite enjoy watching energetic Clarke give opposition defenders a hard time when they've already played a 45. Playing him from the start might not work as well. The Blades shall be top 6 come May. They're not to be underestimated. Dangerous team. I'm slightly biased because of my affinity with the city but I'm letting you know I think they're a good team and they play with passion.

6.) 29 Nov 2018 19:51:20
i agree with goegre at the moment i think alosiki first clarke second is our best answe and I don't want to see that diving scumbag ever play for leeds again but needs must.

7.) 29 Nov 2018 21:40:38
Berm get over it. They a try con the ref. Look at the penalty we conceded when the striker was allready going to ground before BPF touched him. Think it was against Brentford. I'm against diving too but if he'd of got a penalty for it everyone would have said what comes around goes around and it all balances out. I'd rather not see it but it's modern football for you. Look at PSG. The other day? Play acting you would of been proud of.

8.) 29 Nov 2018 21:49:28
Wow I agree as well Alioski and then Clarke! But I do think Alioski was more stupid than evil! It wasn’t even a good dive! Is diving blatantly worse than spitting! And we’ve taken Samu back into our hearts!

9.) 29 Nov 2018 22:05:12
I agree Martyn. I suspect there are lot of other players a lot better at cheating than Alioski. His acting is as bad as his offside radar!

10.) 29 Nov 2018 22:30:56
So what he dived, he was getting tired. Happens every week some one falls over. Roofe scored with his hand other week but all were happy to let that one pass.

11.) 29 Nov 2018 23:37:41
Bloody hell. I agree with George!
Alioski made a mistake, a one that no Leeds fan likes, but his effort and passion every game counters that mistake in my mind. Unless he’s properly chopped, I don’t think we will see him go down easily again. He strikes me as that type of character; he’ll be embarrassed. And Clarke, definitely a second half game changer until he’s fit enough to compete with the big boys.

12.) 30 Nov 2018 00:17:49
Spaniard Quite right. Maybe he should visit my mechanic for an alignment.

13.) 30 Nov 2018 08:58:31
Agree George SU are a decent team that's why i think Clarke should start this game. If they get on top in the first 30 minutes it will be game over. Alioski is under so much pressure at the moment what with his form and the dive he will benefit from being on the bench then coming on second half, that's how i see it anyway. Even though they are a good side i can not see them lasting through the winter with the games they have to play.

14.) 30 Nov 2018 13:16:29
If it is to be then I think Alioski first as his ability to track back will help in the initial pressure that there is bound to be. They will come charging at us, running everywhere to cramp our style (can see us going 1-0 down, AGAIN) but come the second half they will have, hopefully, run out of steam and be ripe for a good old roasting from Clarke.

15.) 30 Nov 2018 13:33:36
diving is an annoying part of the game but until FIFA do something to stamp it out (like retrospective bans or VAR) it will continue to be a factor so i say let's use it if we can. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

16.) 30 Nov 2018 14:12:52
If we follow that idea Alf, we’re going to need to buy some better actors than Alioski!

17.) 30 Nov 2018 16:59:47
Saiz to start, Alioski or Harrison first half or 60 minutes then put Clarke on.

22 Nov 2018 13:31:27
Well guys what do we think about that? No BPF and no Jansson!

Poor Blackman was set to start too.

1.) 22 Nov 2018 13:48:17
it said in the press conference it was a knee injury?
However are we pulling a fast one here?
if we have no first team keeper fit we then qualify for an emergency loan player.
For me get Tom Heaton on the phone asap. I do like BPF a lot but the lad needs some back up from a seasoned pro.

2.) 22 Nov 2018 14:14:46
Bielsa wants a small squad so he has less people to train and convert to his ways but his ways prob demand a big squad.
We are in trouble now. Goalkeepers down and Pontus. Smarten up Bielsa.
And if it’s just a dodgy knee. Play him.
Or put Phillips in goal.

3.) 22 Nov 2018 14:22:28
The part which is most worrying. no mention of Dallas or dropping him!

4.) 22 Nov 2018 14:37:34
How can they drop Dallas in this situation. Agree he is punching above his weight but Is experienced.

5.) 22 Nov 2018 15:05:48
What's the good of being experienced if you are just not up to it, in that position.

6.) 22 Nov 2018 15:43:05
He's an experienced turnip!

7.) 22 Nov 2018 18:45:24
Can we have a rush keeper. Who ever is nearest go’s in.

8.) 22 Nov 2018 20:03:04
Sounds favourite to me Yebo :)

16 Nov 2018 15:03:18
Well Blackman going off injured might be the worst injury news of the season so far. BPF for the foreseeable future now!

1.) 16 Nov 2018 15:58:56
We really do seem to have killed a neat of Robins this season. Really feel for the lad, just when he might get his chance. Great to see Brown involved.

2.) 16 Nov 2018 17:13:15
Bad news.

3.) 16 Nov 2018 19:12:03
Sorry to say that he's on his way back to Chelsea, broken leg so now we have BPF and not many other options.

4.) 16 Nov 2018 23:44:45
Shows how weak our squad really is. But doubt we will strengthen.

12 Nov 2018 09:48:26
Hard to look too much in to the defeat.

BPF should have kept the first two out, although Jansson didn't do enough either for the first.

The third was a ricochet which happened to fall nicely to one of the best players in the league.

Then again with the fourth a ricochet and BPF caught out of position.

As a whole we never get the rub of the green and Saturday was a prime example. Unfortunately for Leeds United, if they don't play well we pay the price for it. Unlike teams like Boro who pull a result out of their ***.

1.) 12 Nov 2018 13:35:15
It was bound to happen. We have been beaten by Birmingham, Blackburn and now West brom. We could have dropped points at Wigan (but for a mammoth goal keeping error-lots of possession no real chances other than the first goal) , We could/ should have lost against Forest, We could have lost against Wedneday. The list goes on. Bielsa is doing a good job with average players. Its not that much different from Christianson. Same continuum just further along the line to the good. There is only so much you can do without the players.

2.) 12 Nov 2018 14:05:48
yeah I agree with Hess we have had more than our fair share of rub of the green this season, as hess said forest goal, wigan mistake plus thorw in millwall hitting post in final minute when he should of scored. plus rub of the green in playign stoke and derby and norwich before they had time to settle.

I have said a few times I think we have flattered to decieve and may be right, that said we have only lost one game against a good team in this mental league so maybe i am jumping the gun.

agian agreeing with Hess mb is a very good manager but can't work miricles. i like coops but is he good enough to get out of this devision. maybe not, same With BPF I like him but too many mistakes will costs us, then alikso being inconsistant and our best player saiz being out of form, then throw in players like dallas getting game time and it is worrying, again I know i will get jumped on but I would also throw KP in that mix, great against wigan and rotherham one of the best in league but as soon as we play the better teams he will always be found wanting and with coops KP and BFP are the spine of our team and vital to every game. I have said from 1st game i can not see them doing well in the playoffs against the likes of Swans or west brom.

but then i am negitive and always worry, we are still in the mix and this year if any maybe anyone can do it so why not us. maybe rads will put hand in pocket and get a keeper (as MB don't rate jamal) a center back and CM who can play in physical and quick games

even the playoffs is a big improvement from last season and impvorement how ever little every year is enough for me MOT.

3.) 12 Nov 2018 23:23:38
So what I’m hearing from some posters is, we were lucky when we played this team and that team, we played a few teams before they had settled! So we settled early and now just getting lucky? Without watching these other unlucky and unsettled teams regularly I cannot comment . I suppose we’ll see them storm the table, Derby became a little unsettled again at home to Villa! . But I hope the luck continues and some of the unsettled teams become unsettled again! That way way we might luckily make the top six! MOT.

4.) 13 Nov 2018 08:36:59
well yeah kinda rag,

the original post says we never get the rub of the green where truth is we have had a lot of luck (all sitiuations mentioned above) we hit the ground running due to manager and hard work so cuaght stoke and derby and norwich off guard. again we have played well but have also falltered to decieve

since then we have had some bad luck but also shown our true limit which for me is between 5th-8th in the table. we have shown more fight this year and bit more class but also shown our weakness. MB is not a god and can't turn a team 14th into top four with pretty much same team. outside of douglas (and bamford but he is out) have we improved the team? then add to that our best player saiz has been out of form.

there are positives but many have had us as best team in league or champs which is great and lovely to have that positivity but for me sadly this was never the case. I would be delighted with playoffs.

06 Nov 2018 13:44:06
After the international break, we are the only team in the top 6 (currently) with back to back home games.

They're all scheduled for two away trips. A great chance for us to make a statement, especially with Bristol and Reading at home!

To be honest - in this league. I reckon maybe 12+ teams train on corners the majority of the week leading up to games. For the poor quality teams, set pieces are the way to points. How many goals have we conceded from open play this season? 6, which is mightily impressive! And one of them was a goal of the season.

Hopefully Pennington plays and we target him, he's shitake mushrooms!

Obviously, Roofe's form this season warrant a place in the team. However Roberts offers so much more as the lone striker, his link-up play is superb!
