£12million for Flint and Bryan according to the Bristol Post? Don't know about the rest of you, but I'd rather have Barts back for £7.5m and use the other £4.5m on a FB or two . (At least we know he plays well for us) .

1.) 22 Jul 2017 19:27:02
Can't see us paying that. If we do I will be seriously impressed.

2.) 22 Jul 2017 21:16:03
Well said alftupper - I felt the same, I can't see us paying anywhere near that (probably should've said so in my post) . I wonder if the thumbs down were for 'unlikely to happen' or to 'Barts over Flint/Bryan? ' I will still take Barts over any other linked defender this summer as he is proven to do it at Leeds! MOT .

3.) 22 Jul 2017 23:36:02
Guessing the guy at the Post is having some wishful thinking with that one, Flint is available for around the £4m mark supposedly and I can't see Bryan commanding £8m. £7m-9m gets them both easy. Same for Barts, think they would consider any offer around the £5m mark, saying £7m is just trying to drive the price up.

4.) 23 Jul 2017 11:35:57
£12m for two defenders who finished 19th is laughable.

5.) 23 Jul 2017 12:56:02
I wonder what happened to our interest in Danny Batth? Seemed the ideal solution, club captain, just coming into his prime and only a £2m price tag.

I think the whole "will we / won't we get the Alioski and Saiz deals done" gave me hope and a purpose every morning - these were exciting times, and now they are finally here, I feel a bit down not waking up hoping to have the good news (don't get me wrong, I'm estatic they are here! ) I know it may sound weird but just to be linked to actual spending money transfers after 13 / 14 odd years made me feel great again! Come on Leeds, let's get drawn into another exciting transfer linked saga . MOT!

Forget transfer sagas, and pre season, look forward to the real thing, only 3 weeks left! We're not under monk anymore there's no drama in failing to sign targets, radz isn't playing, he's trusting orta and throwing his money where he feels appropriate to get what he wants. This bloke knows that there will be 30000 plus in ER every Saturday, so at £30 a pop he's not shy of spending his money to make that 30000 come back every week. I like that, I think the management finally understand what passionate fans we are and are looking to reward us for our loyalty. Get excited gents

2.) 17 Jul 2017 09:33:42
FFP is over three seasons rather than one as of March this year. A lot is being spent this pre-season but, we have at least two seasons before the gamble has to pay off. Even if we finally achieve promotion back to the big time, I don't expect another pre-season of transfer activity like we're currently seeing. Not trying to put a dampener on anything at all. I'm as excited as anyone with what's happening. Just saying; don't get used to first team investment on this scale. One or two marquee signings for the first team and a lot of youth through revolving doors will be it after this.

Byram to Forest . Watched Forest the other night v SU, wasn't overally impressed. Think it's the classic case of players needing time to gel. I don't see them as a major threat (could be told otherwise) . I see 'Boro, West Brom, Stoke (glad we played them first) , Derby and Villa as our main contenders this year. Big test tomorrow . MOT.

Let’s hope we aren’t fighting it out for 13th come the end of the season.

2.) 11 Aug 2018 08:26:04
Hi Alf, i'm good thanks mate, just been bonkers at work so not been on much through summer, looking forward to seeing the lads at ER next Saturday be interesting game today against the rams will be a test and another marker for how much Bielsa has improved the squad physically and mentally since last season! MOT fella 😎⚽️.

09 Jun 2018 09:27:22
Morning all, I for one don't mind the wait for Bielsa nor am I put off with the so called 'South American Expert' Vickery's comments suggesting he has been found out. Someone with revolutionary ideas will continue to have them, if the rest of the world catch up, they come up with new ideas. I remember the football he produced at the 2004 Olympics with a relatively unknown Tevez, Mascerano and Maxi Rodriguez amongst others, maybe was the best I've ever seen! The players in that team continued to chase and win the ball for the rest of their careers! He did the same with many other teams! I reckon he may even turn somemof our flops into EFL beaters. We need to be patient, this dude is a legend and just what we need at ER. Sorry for long post, but we need to know this is our man and not the cheaper, quickly available alternatives! MOT!

Good post mate. Agree with you.

2.) 09 Jun 2018 10:42:56
Disagree. He has never managed in England and has never managed such a poor team. Ranieri has done both.

3.) 09 Jun 2018 11:25:17
I see your skepticism Ausman but to argue that I'd simply say. He has never managed in England = Then Leeds can be his first. He has never managed such a poor team = well most of the teams he managed were poor before his arrival. The fact he has never managed in England shouldn't really be a point, as no one has, until their first time! Anyway, just look at Santo at Wolves to answer your concerns .

4.) 09 Jun 2018 13:20:14
I just hope that whoever we appoint has a good say in the recruitment of players that he can work with. Maybe Radz has learnt something from last season.

5.) 09 Jun 2018 13:57:41
He has not said yes after at least a week. So it’s no to me. He does not see the Leeds we know and the potential. So he is just seeing pay day his way. It’s a no from me.

6.) 09 Jun 2018 15:18:46
Or he is seeing a lot of things wrong with the club/structure and knows if that doesn't change he will have no more success than last the last group of managers/coaches and wants to ensure that changes so he can be successful. Maybe I'm dreaming but I hope I'm right!

7.) 09 Jun 2018 16:19:49
Its obvious the lack of a manager is holding us up getting the players we need if the current set-up continues with Orta having a major say in recruitment can't see him coming Radz must know where the problem lay with last years poor signings still not convinced Bielsa is the right man the language barrier being a problem plus the money hell demand in wages and for players and if the going gets tough hell just up and leave big risk imo are we wasting time waiting for him? I think we are time to move on

8.) 09 Jun 2018 17:29:46
Until something positive happens, and I hope it's this week, we fans will start thinking it's hot air that Radz and Kinnear are spewing. Everybody we get linked with seem to have other suitors as well except Mbakogu.

9.) 09 Jun 2018 19:29:23
Ausman 1 I fully agree with you, he should jump to the offer of managing Leeds, unfortunately he see money that can’t be a good start,

10.) 09 Jun 2018 19:49:53
Well most posts are correct in some ways. Bielsa would be unbelievable. Ranieri would be great and was my dream appoinment a month ago. Bruce, well not my choice but every reason to think he could do a job for us. I won't be downhearted if it's any of those 3. Knowing Radz it still might be Joe Bloggs from nowhere if Bielsa falls through

11.) 09 Jun 2018 21:42:44
Yeah Speedy that seems to be the way we operate, players and managers. Bandy about A, B, C, and D, then sign X.

12.) 10 Jun 2018 13:26:00
Canada. I think you've hit the nail mate. Bielsa is not simply a coach, and will want influence through all aspects of the club infrastructure, and to me, that is why this has become so drawn out.

27 Sep 2017 10:47:15
I'm still one for saying let's spend the money from the Wood sale on Kyle Bartley. With Leeds looking like real promotion contenders and the way Swansea have started this season I don't think he would take much convincing. Agree deal now to move in January. Can't help but think if he was there with Pontus last night the outcome would've been very different. I think Nessy would be a good back up to Jansson / Bartley and also fear that Pennington will be class for us only to reutrn to scouseland at the end of the season. A defensive headache is something we can do without this season to allow us to play attractive football midfield and upfront. Make it happen Victor . MOT .

I think he's out until November Alf .

3.) 27 Sep 2017 14:28:32
Didn't like the price tag that was being bandied about for him to be honest, and it will take him a good couple of months to get anywhere near back up to speed. I think the Bartley boat has sailed, personally.

4.) 27 Sep 2017 18:06:58
He won't be back at Leeds. Move on. !

26 Sep 2017 23:32:24
At half time I was like why don't we bring on Saiz and Lasogga? ! ? Then we bring on Grot instead of Lasogga? ! ? Raging I was then I reminded myself of where we were last year at this stage. I now see where the gaffa was going . A lost game against a very good side away from home, let's bring on Pennington to get some vital match practice in the harshest of conditions, let's get Grot up to speed against tough opponents and let's get Viera back to his best. We weren't going to turn around the defecit against Cardiif in Cardiff with 10 men, why knacker out our A team? Shrewd move TC and while I go to sleep with a heavy heart, I see the plan and I'm sure we will smash Cardiff at home later on. Make the most of bad situation and get everyone up to the level. Still 2nd, still in promotion places with Lasogga and Saiz with that much needed rest . M. O. T.

"I'm happy here and it's where I want to be. I feel as if I'm going to be part of something special this season, " - so refreshing to hear these words about our club after so many years in the wilderness. MOT .

3.) 30 Aug 2017 20:40:53
He's a top man and so glad he wanted to stay, it goes to show they are all buying into Radz and TC. MOT

4.) 30 Aug 2017 20:51:05
Well said Stuart Dallas, what a great pro. The lad has not complained when being benched, has had a few mares in the past but seems to be happy to buy into TCs Revolution.

I think Radz, Victor and Angus started the Ayling to WBA rumour so we all concentrate on keeping him and forget aobut incomings . Jokin' aside, I'm happy to trust MB with the squad. I rather he turns our current crop into Championship beaters - I've spent so much of my time cheering on this lot, I'd prefer the familiar faces (albeit fustrating at times) to do well over new signings! . I think you might be right with the scorers LIG but I'm feeling a confident today, I reckon Bielsa's 30 year + experience will show against Frank's 2 week or so! So 3 points for me. Maybe I'm coming down with something but I fancy KP to score tonight . MOT .
