With regards Jansson, is he officially our player right now. My point is, I thought he was signing a contract at the end of the season. Which means if he moves on before signing we get nothing.

The Slough white

1.) 19 Apr 2017 23:24:32
Nobody knows.

2.) 20 Apr 2017 19:38:50
he signed in jan he is our player believe we paid 3.5 for him. If he gets sold it will be leeds desicion and leeds will get the fee. My worry is he seemed to start playing soppy stuff after signing for us and since then the 'problems' have started. his agent said today he will not keep him if we don't go up, even then he still might go, still only one player and we will get great fee on him so either way is kind of a win for us

3.) 21 Apr 2017 08:26:51
My big worry, this is from reading what media sources have said so it could be flat out wrong, is that his current contract is with Torino and he is on loan with us. To officially sign a contract with us he can't already have one i. e. the loan, This would mean that although we have agreed a fee and a contract the paperwork won't be filed till the loan expires.

If that's true, and a team makes a big offer, he could still reject the contract we have offered him before it comes into effect which would mean we get £0 for him because we never technically owned him (Torino would get the payout) . Now he could sign for us regardless (out of loyalty at that point) or it could be media sources not understanding the contract situation (not sure how it works myself) but isn't that how Cellino dodged Cameron Stewart? that's why i'm a little worried, not just that we will lose him but we won't see a penny.

4.) 21 Apr 2017 14:36:52
Did we have to pay Stewart compensation?

5.) 21 Apr 2017 14:41:37
As I believe it he signed in january for the contract to start at the end of the loan at the end of season and one payment has been made to torino and the second due at the seasons end so he's our player signed and sealed and if I remember celinio lost the Cameron Stewart case in court and had to pay players wages.

Orta's business in the transfer market so far has been abysmal. Let's have a recap so far. Hit or miss. Borthwick Jackson- enough said. Miss Aloski- more bad than good - miss Klich- miss Lasogga- miss for the cost to the club wages wise. Wiedwald- miss Cibicki- miss Pennington- hit Saiz- big hit. 2 out of 8 signings have worked. Not hopeful for January on those results.

The Slough white

1.) 02 Jan 2018 23:02:31
I think wiedwald is coming good is that just me? Cibicki looks better than alioski aswell much better end product, no denying alioski's work rate tho. Lassogga's just fat and greedy needs to go this month if we sign a striker

2.) 02 Jan 2018 23:02:32
Not sure we can call Pennington a hit yet, we have barely seen him, agree with the rest though.

3.) 03 Jan 2018 05:51:00
Agree about pennington not proven. Agree about cblicki end product. Agree re aluoski work rate. Agree 100% re lassoga. Not sure wield should be first choice but is showing pigeon steps towards improvement.

4.) 03 Jan 2018 10:20:06
Saiz, alioski, cibicki, wiedwald are all good players, pennington i'm not sure what youve seen other than the fact that he can play a ball into a holding midfielder, but isn't that what cooper and jansson do too, an dthat can actually stick a challenge in and head the ball? give up on negativity its boring

5.) 03 Jan 2018 13:27:20
think original post is bit harsh, wiedwald is decent enough made some mistakes but also big saves think he only cost 500k so not bad deal saiz massive hit and will be sold for around 15 million so make up for any lost money. he is best player in league bu some distance alioski has been very good in games i have seen, he can fall out of games but scored a lot, can beat a man and causes havock and works hard (although not seen all games and enough on here say he is poor so i have maybe seen him at best) I don't rate lassoga at all but think his scoring rate for us has not been that bad? so he has won us points which if we make playoffs make him worth while so far i think orta has done ok to good but now is time to push for playoffs if we don't make them i will be massivley dissapointed

6.) 03 Jan 2018 15:33:10
A lot of Orta players have the potential to be good and have had good games their main deficiency is consistency. TC and his team somehow need to get his first eleven playing to their full potential every game.

25 Sep 2017 21:33:34
I hope TC doesn't make the same mistake twice in 10 days. He's already said Cardiff are aggressive, strong and physical. He cannot afford saiz and Hernandes in the same team. I would play berardi instead of Anita. Janson to play if fit. Dallas instead of alioski, and klich for hernandes in midfield. For me that team gets 3 points.

The Slough white

1.) 26 Sep 2017 00:19:22
Not sure about dropping a RW for a LW and a LW for a CM Slough but I do agree about fielding a more physical side. Wiedwald, Ayling, Jansson (if fit) , Cooper, Berardi, Klich, Vieira, Dallas, Saiz, Alioski, Lassoga for me. Harsh on a couple of players (especially O'Kane and Philips) but sometimes its about playing the match not your best side. Sacko in for Alioski even maybe after he looked a little more on the pace the other night but that's a big risk.

2.) 26 Sep 2017 02:06:14

3.) 26 Sep 2017 07:42:06
Indeed, Warnock sides are always physical and hard to beat.

4.) 26 Sep 2017 08:14:32
Agree gummie.

03 Sep 2017 12:53:29
Although more than happy with start of season and new transfers, there is a but. I still can't for the life of me understand after last seasons performances why we opted to buy sacko for £1.5 million or there abouts. I wish instead we would have put that money towards jota who's gone to Birmingham or Tom Lawrence who's gone to derby. I think if we' world of done that we would be nailed on for top two in my opinion. Not a moan just an observation that's all.

The Slough white

1.) 03 Sep 2017 13:31:24
Might have been part of the loan deal for last season ?

2.) 03 Sep 2017 14:21:43
No is wasn't Notts. We took up the option

3.) 03 Sep 2017 15:47:41
Might be like a few have said on here in the past that he can scare the life out of defenders with his pace but just needs to learn to lift his head up to see the cross. Maybe TC and his backroom staff can have more success than the previous regime. £1.5m in this day and age is peanuts when if he can learn to pass the blooming ball then we could have a nice little investment

4.) 03 Sep 2017 16:17:04
I can understand why we bought Sacko because he showed promise but as I have said before on here, when I saw him come on in the friendly against Oxford he looked completely lacking in confidence and worse than last year. I thought ni he needs some game time and was surprised he hasn't gone out on loan. Like Lucas, I wouldn't give up on him but I think he needs some help.

5.) 03 Sep 2017 19:24:11
I see what you are saying Slough but we don't need Jota or Lawrence, top platers that they are. Saiz, Roofe and Hernandez play the position and what I've seen of Saiz so far Jota is not needed even though he's a proper talent. It would be hard to keep eveyone happy imo. Sometimes you have to prioritize.

6.) 03 Sep 2017 20:26:12
I would have jota over Hernandez every time corky. He has one bad game in four. Our man's the other way round.

7.) 03 Sep 2017 21:35:43
You are right Slough. Read my post again though mate. Saiz, Roofe and Hernanadez are enough number 10s. As much as Jota is a good player we already brought in Siaz during the summer. Too many cooks brother.

8.) 03 Sep 2017 22:37:17
Jota played his best football for Brentford on the left

9.) 03 Sep 2017 23:28:31
I think sackho was a potential last year in a relativity small squad in the position he plays. TBH I always thought he was carp ! Ran up line with his head down. Didn't know when to pass or cross and was a bit hard too watch. Got worse. Looking at this year as we have recruited better in those said positions. also Dallas upped his game. So have 4/5 in front off him. TC and Vitor knowong what players they wer going to get in. Should have got him out on loan or possibly not gave him a new contract. Harsh but true. But it is what it is lads. I think sackho is the last thing we should be worrying about. MOT. roll on the next game. ⚽️👍😃

10.) 04 Sep 2017 16:09:06
Looking at what we have I can not Sacko getting a game Bat, on the Jota front he has been a bit quiet this year but most of it is that teams have worked him out . In regards to P H think we all agree he has a great game and then goes missing most of the next game . Kilth seems to be a sub I did wonder whether he will come into play more as the season progresses.

11.) 04 Sep 2017 23:07:17
Jota a bit quiet? 3 assists in 4 games . 🤔🤔

27 Aug 2017 10:16:23
Middlesbrough at home yesterday had one shot on target at home. Ring any bells.

The Slough white

1.) 27 Aug 2017 11:43:27
Yes but were they at home ?

2.) 27 Aug 2017 11:58:29
Like I suspect many of you, I did wish Preston well yesterday. I know we should be magnanimous towards Monk, but despite my best efforts, I am not that strong and find myself having a quiet gloat everytime he stumbles. I need to find a Boro banter site and have an amble through their opinions of him and their style since he arrived. How petty can one be?

3.) 27 Aug 2017 12:41:36
It's hard after a break up But try to let go and move on Letting him see how much happier you are without him should be enough Regards Deirdre

4.) 27 Aug 2017 12:41:36

5.) 27 Aug 2017 13:36:10
Dear Deirdre. I've got a little problem that won't seem go away. I think it's medical term is leeds1988itus or bean123itus. When it flares up it can be very irritating but it seems that a few excellent wins then it goes back into it prehistoric cave. I'm slightly concerned that when we lose a game it'll come back with a vengeance. Please help me Deirdre, I don't know what to do. Regards Lucas.

6.) 27 Aug 2017 15:10:15
Best thing Lucas is with that kind of irretation is to try not to scratch it as it only makes it more irritating. Often in such cases of a nasty little irritation is to try and ignore it (hard sometimes, I know) and it should clear off I mean up on its own.

25 Aug 2017 08:03:05
Diarounga yet another player whose contract we are terminating. Yet he has a few clubs wanting to sign him. Why are we not getting fees for him ms doukara who also had clubs after him. We let another player go for nothing under contract. Apart from wood, we don't seem very savvy in the sales of players. Thoughts lads. Think we'll win 2.1 tomoz. MOT

The Slough white

1.) 25 Aug 2017 09:21:03
last year of his contract, not likely to get a look in, we might as well terminate it and get him off the wage bill rather than paying him for a year and him leaving at the end of the season for nowt. Apart from Wood (and we just got a mill for Bridcutt as well) none of the players who left were really worth anything.

2.) 25 Aug 2017 09:28:09
If we beat Forest at their place that would be a fantastic result. i would be happy to come away with a draw myself. Warburton is a decent manager and has made some good signings who have hit the ground running. I can see Forest getting promoted this year.

3.) 25 Aug 2017 10:40:36
Getting rid of dead wood. No offence Mike ;)

4.) 25 Aug 2017 11:55:32
None taken mate, and I totally agree. I've just been reading the YEP about how we have now got rid of the famous six as they were known! Sure is different times now and like you say get them out and off the wage bill, it has been said that Doukara was trying to cause bad feeling which is why they got him out quickly! MOT

5.) 25 Aug 2017 13:54:18
sick note 6 you mean not famous

6.) 25 Aug 2017 14:33:52
the sinister six! No, wait, that's in Marvel comics.

7.) 25 Aug 2017 18:40:38
Martyn, no offence Mike? What about Chris? He'll be miffed at that remark even after his sky-bound shot at goal.

Probably going to get shot down but I’m entitled to my opinion. Hernandez for me is an impact player off the bench in a good squad. At home he has his moments no doubt he’s class at times. Away from home he is a complete passenger most of the time. Glad he’s staying but by no means consistent enough to be a first choice pick as I say with a play off chasing squad.

Westy, a rock, have you been to many games this season? The man clearly wants to be somewhere else. Fist pumps the kop when we win, feigns injury when we are losing and goes missing. Get as much for him as we can and get a centre half with balls.

The 3.75 million will be paid upfront. With the money premiership teams are getting Cellino wouldn't do a deal on the basis.
