That acid test for us is the 15th of September against the in breads ( millwall)
Last year top of the league and unbeaten .
Went to milkwall got bullied, lost and it all went south from there. Just watched millwall lose at home after being 1 up and Swansea down to ten men.
There manager was fuming, they are going to be angry, physical and it's leeds.
What happens there will I think shape our season.

Agree slough i had similar thoughts, the Millwall game and Preston game our next Two. Maybe tougher games than what we have faced so far. Teams know how we play now and don't think we are going to be a surprise with our style of play. Do think we have more than enough to get a result but these type of teams will be up for us and in our faces.

2.) 02 Sep 2018 13:39:08
We'll be fine, IF we get a decent ref.

3.) 03 Sep 2018 14:07:51
Mutley a big welcome to the mad house, I would agree with you can’t see how he will fit in the squad a team the moment, needs to prove a lot as to date he’s far a part, still we are doing great at the moment, in joy you time on this site.

4.) 03 Sep 2018 14:47:30
Think we will beat Millwall, different team from last year, more grit and commitment. Wall have not got much to offer and will be surprised if they finish with ten men. Preston play well but against our first team they will struggle. Think Bielsa may have a plan for them.

5.) 03 Sep 2018 14:49:59
Absolutely AL! That boro ref was a joker! Just watched back the Friend tackle on Harrison that wasn't a booking, and the accidental tangle of legs that got Samu booked! Shocking double standards!

6.) 04 Sep 2018 13:48:09
depends if Bermo is going to the game - he doesn't have the best of luck when watching his beloved Leeds.

7.) 04 Sep 2018 14:55:52
It's the same every game Bright, I think someone will have to drive a car onto the pitch and run one of our players over to get a penalty.

19 Apr 2017 19:04:40
With regards Jansson, is he officially our player right now. My point is, I thought he was signing a contract at the end of the season. Which means if he moves on before signing we get nothing.

The Slough white

1.) 19 Apr 2017 23:24:32
Nobody knows.

2.) 20 Apr 2017 19:38:50
he signed in jan he is our player believe we paid 3.5 for him. If he gets sold it will be leeds desicion and leeds will get the fee. My worry is he seemed to start playing soppy stuff after signing for us and since then the 'problems' have started. his agent said today he will not keep him if we don't go up, even then he still might go, still only one player and we will get great fee on him so either way is kind of a win for us

3.) 21 Apr 2017 08:26:51
My big worry, this is from reading what media sources have said so it could be flat out wrong, is that his current contract is with Torino and he is on loan with us. To officially sign a contract with us he can't already have one i. e. the loan, This would mean that although we have agreed a fee and a contract the paperwork won't be filed till the loan expires.

If that's true, and a team makes a big offer, he could still reject the contract we have offered him before it comes into effect which would mean we get £0 for him because we never technically owned him (Torino would get the payout) . Now he could sign for us regardless (out of loyalty at that point) or it could be media sources not understanding the contract situation (not sure how it works myself) but isn't that how Cellino dodged Cameron Stewart? that's why i'm a little worried, not just that we will lose him but we won't see a penny.

4.) 21 Apr 2017 14:36:52
Did we have to pay Stewart compensation?

5.) 21 Apr 2017 14:41:37
As I believe it he signed in january for the contract to start at the end of the loan at the end of season and one payment has been made to torino and the second due at the seasons end so he's our player signed and sealed and if I remember celinio lost the Cameron Stewart case in court and had to pay players wages.

Same team again! ) it's lke he doesn't trust anyone else. Fatigued players equals injuries. Got to rotate thru Xmas.
Hope I'm wrong but think we're getting beat today.

The Slough white

1.) 01 Jan 2019 15:58:27
Also, not much to rotate with, is there?

It also equals losses and heavy defeats too. Is Bielsa angling for a move?

2.) 01 Jan 2019 15:54:49
I trust the gaffer more than anyone on here, so far as tactics and selections are concerned. #everyonesagaffer.

17 Dec 2018 18:53:58
Thinking about the weekend. We've managed to win last 2 away games 1-0 which is great. I'm my opinion I think villa will get at least 2 on Sunday. Hoping we can create and start taking our chances or I can see a West Brom away scorline.
Hope I'm wrong as I'll be there. MOT.

The Slough white

1.) 17 Dec 2018 19:32:48
We'll do em.

2.) 17 Dec 2018 20:41:26
I think if we play a pressing game against villa not allowing them to settle on the ball or generally into the game we’ll be alright.
Hoping we bring a defender in as Halme is a poor sticking plaster!

3.) 17 Dec 2018 21:52:41
Can't see Villa doing what the baggies did to us, I think they're getting too cocky about the game. First their manager shooting his mouth off and then some defender I've never heard of at it.

4.) 17 Dec 2018 22:51:13
oh woe is me . i think villa will win 3-1 but then been saying that for ages. let leeds prove me wrong again this Saturday. MOT.

5.) 18 Dec 2018 08:27:15
It would be nice to shut Dean Smith up, he seems to be getting a bit cocky to me.

17 Dec 2018 18:48:06
Valencia offered 10 million for saiz in the summer. Now he's gone on loan and maybe 6 million in the summer. Another great decision by Leeds United.

The Slough white

1.) 17 Dec 2018 19:04:14
It happens. Usually to us.

2.) 17 Dec 2018 19:42:07
We didn’t want to sell him in the summer and hoped he would settle down and contribute which he did at first. As the season went on it possibly became apparent that it wasn’t going to work and that we would be better off without him around when the getafe opportunity arose. If his form had continued as it started it would have been a superb decision. Sometimes things work out and sometimes they don’t! Bielsa was a huge gamble bearing in mind his record, so far so good!

3.) 17 Dec 2018 20:10:07
Why a loan. ? We should of been stronger and said toy can do for a fee now or nothing. We have got nothing in our favour as a loan. Weak management from the boardroom.

4.) 17 Dec 2018 20:20:54
It certainly sounds like a bit of a mystery!

5.) 17 Dec 2018 21:36:05
Some people on here seem to think they are experts on the Saiz situation. The truth is nobody knows. So why denigrate the club or the management? We are top of the league. rejoice you miserable.

6.) 17 Dec 2018 21:49:25
Looks like we got 500K loan payment with £6M at the end of the season, wages off the bill, so that'll do to be going on with.

7.) 17 Dec 2018 22:17:01
The club are showing compassion to a guy and his missus, and we’ve doubled our money. Problem is what?

17 Dec 2018 14:40:03
Don't we learn, bamford injured originally playing for u23's. Got back from injury, gets back in squad then scores on Saturday.
So bielsa puts him at risk by playing him yet again in the u23's. Doesn't he learn .

The Slough white

1.) 17 Dec 2018 14:59:25
Match fitness

It’s a risk that has to be taken.

2.) 17 Dec 2018 15:11:16
Man. I knew you knew best slough.
Wat was I thinking backing Bielsa when all along your wisdom was there to be idolised.
Silly me.

3.) 17 Dec 2018 15:24:15
I heard a rumour that Brown went off with either a knee or hamstring issue. After such a long lay off, Brown will pick up niggles during his recovery. It is a big gamble to rely on Brown to replace Saiz in the second half of the season.

4.) 17 Dec 2018 16:29:04
Agree notts.

5.) 17 Dec 2018 17:19:37
Nothing wrong with returning players featuring with the under 23s. Good for their match fitness and a good principle that they have to work hard to get back in the team. Brown just didn’t seem up for it today, perhaps he was carrying a knock into the game. I hoped he was going to take control of the game but didn’t come anywhere near it. Not ready yet!

6.) 17 Dec 2018 17:35:02
Precautionary withdrawal from the game. It’s confirmed to not be a big issue, just a tight hammy. If he’s going to get near the first team squad anytime soon, he needs competitive minutes. How else can he get those, other than with the 23’s?

7.) 17 Dec 2018 18:29:02
They are footballers. Footballers play football. That's what they do. The fitter they are the better they play and, in fact, the less likely to sustain an injury. The flip side to this is that the more minutes they spend on the paddock the more opportunities there are for something to go wrong. BUT you can't keep them in cotton wool. Any sport, particularly a contact sport, carries the risk of injury. The only way to avoid it is to stay home in bed. Again, the fitter they are the less likely to sustain an injury. Some risks are calculated and have to be taken.

8.) 17 Dec 2018 19:44:13
Problem now, no more under 23s for three weeks. We can have him on the bench but perhaps for only 10-20 mins on the pitch and that might be too much of a gamble.

Probably going to get shot down but I’m entitled to my opinion. Hernandez for me is an impact player off the bench in a good squad. At home he has his moments no doubt he’s class at times. Away from home he is a complete passenger most of the time. Glad he’s staying but by no means consistent enough to be a first choice pick as I say with a play off chasing squad.

Westy, a rock, have you been to many games this season? The man clearly wants to be somewhere else. Fist pumps the kop when we win, feigns injury when we are losing and goes missing. Get as much for him as we can and get a centre half with balls.
