Wonder if Bielsa might walk before we kick a ball.

1.) 08 Jul 2019 23:53:46
Wex, Why wonder that? Bielsa is the reason we sold Pontus.

2.) 09 Jul 2019 07:18:22

Answer. because Wex is such a negative poster he sees it as his crusade to look at every Leeds situation and look for the worst-case-scenario

If have to confess that Wex is my twin brother.
Born from a coupling of good and evil, in the womb we chose our paths. Wex taking the pitchfork of Negativity to lead his legions through the wilderness of the lower leagues. Laying waste to all and sundry as he belittled all conscious reasoning around him. Shouting down the voices of the 'choir of sunshine'. Stamping down on the shoots of a glorious tomorrow.

(all I took was my inflatable hot tub of hope. I live in fear of his pitchfork)

3.) 09 Jul 2019 10:52:40
Pmsl Axe! 😂😂😂.

4.) 09 Jul 2019 13:54:18
We are in the lower leagues Axe and your happier than me.

04 Jul 2019 20:34:16
Reports stating that we have committed to paying for costa at the end of his loan and the reason for this commitment is take over is on.

1.) 04 Jul 2019 21:18:08
I hope so Wex, definitely in favour of bringing in some more cash and letting Mbappe get a run out in the English league.

2.) 04 Jul 2019 22:54:07
Think it’s obvious wex. QSI will be our new owners in 12 months. A £15m transfer fee would screw us on ffp in one year, as year 3 enfolds. They must have a plan incoming to dilute the previous two seasons losses.

3.) 05 Jul 2019 08:16:27
I think we are grasping at straws in the pursuit of the QSI involvement.

Not saying you all aren't correct, but I imagine that we will only be paying £15m if Costa is successful AND Leeds are successful.

And I imagine Costa has signed for us as we are prepared to stump up the loan fee, pay what he wants, are able to give him plenty of 1st team opportunities, and appear to have a great chance of success. He is a professional footballer after all.

If QSI do come aboard then I will welcome them as heartily as I did Krasner, that Dr fella, Bates, Cellino and Radz.
(yep, I had no idea most of them would be so rubbish)
I am aware Qatar, the country, has many human rights issues but I have no knowledge if the company QSI has colluded in such stuff.
My dad and grandad used to work for Natwest but I am 99.9% sure he had no connection to Britain's Windrush scandal or the massacre of Indians in the early 20th century.
(What I am trying to say is I don't tar everyone with the same brush. I have researched QSI and PSG and there isn't a bad word to be said)

4.) 05 Jul 2019 16:41:33
I’ve just been in Qatar and didn’t manage to find anything out. Maybe the staff in the airport aren’t in the know.

5.) 05 Jul 2019 17:51:14
Actually, just thought about it a bit more, and a £15 mill fee wouldn’t duff us up, as it would be payable in the next financial year, so maybe not a positive sign of rich owners coming son. Doh! 😔.

03 Jul 2019 21:35:26
If KP goes if pontus goes there could still be bids for Roofe. Is that what Radz means when he says a difficult transfer window.

1.) 03 Jul 2019 23:24:37
Think there is a possibility of one of them going. With a lot of the deadwood on the way out, ie. Anita, Sacko, no urgency to offload lots of first team.

2.) 04 Jul 2019 13:37:35
I’m sure pound notes will create urgency.

02 Jul 2019 19:35:32
Talksport reports take over is close. is it please say yes.

1.) 02 Jul 2019 21:35:12
Would seem strange to make a number of decisions about personnel and then do the deal that all along you have been saying you wouldn’t do! More cash instantly available might have meant different targets unless this is only part of the shopping list. For a deal to be that imminent people must have been working on it for a bit of time.

My gut still says no take over this year perhaps the start of some additional investment. But who knows.

2.) 03 Jul 2019 08:13:40
Talksport! That 100% reliable radio show that didn’t lie or exaggerate spygate? Well it must be true.

3.) 03 Jul 2019 09:57:27
Not saying that there will be no takeover ( this year ) but the timing, type and value of the incomings is concerning. Surely if they were serious QSI would want a veto on all new signings and 10+ million would be peanuts to their resources so why the loan deals and why the saga with Costa. No, I believe that IF there is to be a takeover/ cash injection it will not happen, if at all, until next year. PS Hope I am wrong!

06 Jun 2019 19:26:19
Apparently Bielsa attended talks in Qatar alongside Radz.

15 Jul 2019 18:04:57
Axe comparing Roofe to Bamford is a bit unfair Roofe signed as a wing forward and last season his first in centre forward role.

1.) 15 Jul 2019 18:47:41
Sorry Axe that should be directed towards Clueless.

2.) 15 Jul 2019 19:01:46
His preferred position is central strike isn’t it.

3.) 15 Jul 2019 20:01:05
No worries Wex.

4.) 15 Jul 2019 22:36:10
Wex, as ttiao says, striker is Roofe's preference - he clearly feels that he can be as effective as Bambam in that position, so if he's happy to make the comparison it could be argued
that it seems fair game for fans to do likewise. However, I will concede that yours is also a valid argument.

So, when considering the contention that Bambam is crap, a fairer comparison would be between him and other experienced strikers. Looking at last season, his minutes per goal stats were worse only than Gayle, Pukki, Abraham, Maupay, Sharp and McBurnie, and those with worse stats included JayRod and Adams, the latter of whom caused us all sorts of problems and both of whom have just been bought by Prem teams (though admittedly both the respective teams are more likely to be scrapping against relegation again rather than chasing upper mid-table respectability) . In pursuit of scrupulous fairness, if comparing Bambam with Gayle, Pukki et al, it should be remembered that he did not have a pre-season worth speaking of and was rarely if ever fully match fit last season.

10 Jul 2019 13:38:42
Spanish we come on this forum to air our views. When you ask what we are going to do about. Answer We will come on here and take flack and be criticised and be called moaners and whingers.
We could just pretend it's all going great but even in your own heart you know it's not and that under Radz we are not going to progress this season.

1.) 10 Jul 2019 14:32:00
Wex, please don’t for one moment be arrogant enough to think you have any idea of what i know in my own heart! Concentrate on explaining your own ideas. Coming on here every day and implying Radz is a crook isn’t going to change anything, if you really think that, do something about it.

2.) 10 Jul 2019 15:07:01
Gotta agree wex.
Spanish is beginning to get on my nerves even though I voted for him.
Berm is too.
I’m hoping posters on here try and understand others opinion rather than be hell bent on being right all the time.

3.) 10 Jul 2019 15:07:14
Wex thinks he already knows everything going on in Radz' life. Next thing he'll be telling us he's been ploughing Orta behind his wife's back.

4.) 10 Jul 2019 15:21:35
Aus. Am I getting on your nerves yet? If not, is there something specific I can do, so that I am! 🤪😂👍🏻🍻.

5.) 10 Jul 2019 15:34:24
No need for specifics mate.
Ur lucks in.
You were naturally next in line.
Nothing to do with me.
All your own doing.

6.) 10 Jul 2019 15:37:12
sorry Aus if I am getting you down,

i'd like to make this clear. i don't care if people agree with me. I understand others have other views I like that, it's what makes the site great and what life is about.

I have my views all the time and like to bang on about them. one day i will mention my views on KP. I don't for one second hope to win people over to agree, they are just my views

I do hate it when others judge on views or make it seem like those of us who think everything is not wonderful are some kind of lesser fan

if wex wants to be down great, if spansih wants to be super positive all the time that's also great

i do take offence when people like axe get personal that's just bang out of order, i also hate it when i post things that i have been told to be told i am a liar. i am many things but a liar ain't one of them, I do work with people very connected and high up in the football world from time to time, when i do we often talk about football and leeds, that is no big suprise i am not prevy to any information that is not in the media just sometimes i hear it from the horses mouth so to speak.

7.) 10 Jul 2019 15:39:05
Aus, “only beginning to “ I’ll take that as a compliment and I’ll try harder!

8.) 10 Jul 2019 15:47:08
Aus, a very fair point about trying to understand other people’s views.

9.) 10 Jul 2019 16:01:50

I have not and never have called you a liar. But if you need to think that way so that my comments can be used in your favour, fill ya boots

I have said I am perplexed by all this information on our chairman, and director of football, that people seem to have. It could be true. Who am I to judge. But my personal opinion is there is a lot of cr@p being written that is just plain uninteresting. It shouldn't worry you, what I think. I don't have any contacts in the football world. I am just a bloke who works during the week and looks forward to watching my team at the weekend. What do I care who owns what.

By the way, if you think I am getting personal then spare a thought for those that you crucify on a regular basis. Are you not getting personal too?

I thought this was an opinion site, doesn't that mean getting personal? My personal viewpoint?

If me being personal is of such an ordeal then why are you constantly a contributor on this opinion based forum?

10.) 10 Jul 2019 16:53:49
you said my comments are from a fantasy world. if that ain't calling me a liar then what is?

11.) 10 Jul 2019 17:16:47

Where have i ever been personal? other than about KP but if you play for a club you are big enough to ignore. I have never been personal.

Where have you called me a liar. your earlier post said my post was pure fantasy. i then showed how i might know these people and posted actual comments from rads himself thinking you might be big enough to apologise but sadly i was let down (i expect better from Leeds fans).

So to sum up you did call me a liar or fantasist which is personal and you posted a while back which was just a personal attack at me.

It don't bother me as such, i won't lose sleep over it but will call it out as out of order. which it is. if you can't see that then it says a lot about you. in my opinion.

Why am i constantly a contributor cos i like the site and like the opinions of fellow Leeds fans as i don't get a chance to meet many or talk to many. i love this site like a haven for me.

Even Spanish who often has opposite views to me, i love his opinions and sharing thoughts with him, i respect them and part of what this site is about.

When people like you get personal i think it has no place on this site but then that is only my opinion.

if you are perplexed by the information i have it ain't that hard. i am a writer and that often means i work with people high up in certain areas one such project got me in with all the big wigs at the premier league, fa, pfa and EFL due to the quality of work i do as a writer they keep in touch for various work related reasons and we often talk football. that plus when the chairman of my club says something to the media I read it.

12.) 10 Jul 2019 17:30:38
You know I’m only jesting, Aus, yes? 🍻.

10 Jul 2019 13:30:12
Axe in a previous post you said all I've been is negative towards the team. You want to recheck that remark. I have only ever been negative towards the owner and his cronies. Never negative towards the players.

1.) 10 Jul 2019 13:43:36
Wex You're having a giraffe, yes? You've criticized Bambam (justly though I might add) but you've also criticized Tyler Roberts (unjustly) .

2.) 10 Jul 2019 14:55:22
Wex, I rest my case.

Cheers George.

3.) 10 Jul 2019 15:40:08
you ain't a proper fan if you don't critizie players. noo team is perfect and as fans we want perfection. Every leeds team i can think of has had my heros and villians part of the game.

sadly for me rads has sold three of my heros viera, PJ and Clarke. leaving me Aling and Shacks as my current heroes. I just hope we lose a few of my villains as well, sadly villians are harder to sell which is why i think brolin is still on our books as a player as no one will buy him.

4.) 10 Jul 2019 15:48:48
Individual players is not the team George.

5.) 10 Jul 2019 16:11:01
Berm Agree. We should criticize if necessary. I have criticized. I can even provide a recent list. BPF, Casilla, Cooper, Okane (who I can't stand) and only because of his recklessness against Derby second leg Berardi. Certain players earn a pass because although they are not quite good enough for the club they frequently play to their maximum output and skill level. Dallas, Alioski, Harrison. Others earn praise from me because I recognize they got class even though they can have bad games. Point is most of us criticize except certain posters I've noticed and credit to them (Staffy, Brighty) . Let's just try keep it real on here, instead of bickering. We got some great posters but most of us will have a dig now and again and that's alright. Btw still think we're stronger this season but another quality central defender and striker are needed (and no further first team outgoings) in order to catapult into automatic promotion material.

6.) 10 Jul 2019 16:39:26
well said George. i am the same i just hope every year we have more good players than bad ones. what upsets me is i know every year we don't get prem football more of our gems will go. since risdale the amount of talent we have seen leave the club for too little money is criminal and sadly at the moment i think rads is doing that with veria Pontus and Clarke. and that will always inspire me to be angry and rant and rave, although there is little i can do about it.

7.) 10 Jul 2019 16:41:53
Wex I realize this, what's your point? You wrote "players" in your post (in this thread) .

8.) 10 Jul 2019 17:04:06
"You ain't a proper fan if you don't criticise players "

Your a wordsmith. You make a living from writing. And your going to go with that idea?

9.) 10 Jul 2019 18:06:56
wow axe, i must of really rattled your cage.

what has my profession got to do with the idea that i think all proper fans might have a gripe with a player from time to time?

I am yet to meet a fan who at one point or another ain't had the hump with a player at some point.

not sure what this has to do with my career though; care to explain?

i also have an uncle who runs a pub and he thinks it is ok to dislike some programmes on netflix and a granddad who was a bank robber who thought it was ok to dislike some advertising campaigns - the mind boggles.

10.) 10 Jul 2019 19:11:25
George get off the fence.

07 Jul 2019 14:30:16
Just like to point out Radz is doing a fantastic job. Keeping our best players and has the club on a stable financial basis and we have Elland road back.
Are any of those statements true

1.) 07 Jul 2019 14:58:28
In your opinion!
Best players is purely opinion . I may disagree with you so cannot be called a fact.
Club finances none of us have the detail on in the depth to know if we are stable or not.
As for Elland Road ownership who the hell knows how that is truly owned!
Again all opinion and just because it's your opinion doesn't make it a fact.

2.) 07 Jul 2019 15:13:25
We all know how Elland road is owned that's clear. We all ranted and raved over Jannson for the last 2 seasons and worried any time he wasn't playing. We all have raved over Jack for the last season. Those players are not going to be playing for Leeds. FACTS NOT OPINIONS.

3.) 07 Jul 2019 15:16:55
And I'm sure there are plenty of statistics to verify the quality of Jannson and how important he was to our team and the fact Spurs and one of the most regarded managers in Europe are willing to put faith in JC show how high he is regarded.

4.) 07 Jul 2019 15:57:08
Wex Stats show we did better without him. Think you need to appreciate the bigger picture. He's in his late 20s, the Qataris are moving in. There's a method to the madness. I believe we will acquire one more central defender before the window closes. The fee for Pontus is low no doubt though.

5.) 07 Jul 2019 16:14:08
Stats for the last 2 seasons and even the stats for last season were skewed as the author of that article points out as pontus only came on for brief appearances in a few games when returning from injury.

6.) 07 Jul 2019 16:15:31
Hope your right about qataris George.

7.) 07 Jul 2019 15:58:06
We also mostly (not all as its opinions) raved about hernandez, Phillips, klich and roofe. Ayling last 10 games was also back to normal high standard so we kept most of the best IN MY OPINION.
Elland Road ownership may be an accounting benefit.
As you must be a Chartered Accountant with full access to the books though I'm sure you know best!

8.) 07 Jul 2019 16:07:31
100% agree it's too low.
Honestly can't understand why mid table premier teams aren't taking a risk at up to 10 mill. Not a lot on their budgets. Has to be something wrong!

9.) 07 Jul 2019 16:52:44
Good post George. I don’t believe Pontus is being sold against Bielsas wishes. The price reflects those actually willing to buy him. Not in Radz or clubs interests to sell for less if better offers out there.

A lot of sorting out going on at the moment that takes time and effort, a lot of people looking to move on or be moved on. Moves in done first largely but there are Pontus replacements out there and available. But not a bad thing for White and Struick to train with the first team and play this weeks friendlies to see how they go.

10.) 07 Jul 2019 17:18:24
How do you know the price reflects those that want to buy him. Football is a network of whispers a lot of the time. An agent calls an agent more a case of rada and co want him gone someone from brentford makes a call and radz accepts the first offer.

11.) 07 Jul 2019 22:25:39
Simple economics Wex. If anyone else wanted him, the price would go up. Supply and demand.

12.) 08 Jul 2019 05:22:39

You have some great opinions of your own. You should just rest on them.

There is no need to be contrary on absolutely any opposite opinion that another poster make.

We respect your viewpoint. You don't like Radz. It's like we respect Bermo's viewpoint on Phillips. We all just agree to disagree

I will expand on your point regarding agents talking to agents. I agree, they most certainly do. It's how the economics of football works (they are a necessary evil) . What you haven't touched on yourself is that LUFC will have put the word out to all these agents too. Letting them know that Pontus is now a sellable asset. So, if any PL club was interested, they could have easily joined the bidding. By the sheer fact that Brentford are the only name in the frame must mean that no one else fancied taking the punt. Hence the low bid wins the signature. Tough, but that's economics.

06 Jul 2019 15:17:28
Pontus going for 5.5 million so much for 15 to 20 million. Can't imagine how it has come to giving away arguably our best player for buttons. If this was in the offing since the roof last season. Same with Siaz another player who doesn't want to come back and no deal in place and another of arguably or best player. When you add in the fact Phillips is 50/ 50 whether he stays or not. But hey we have Costa. You'd have to wonder what Bielsa is thinking are these the terms he set in staying. If so he's more naive than I thought.

1.) 06 Jul 2019 15:28:54
This gets more bizarre . he is going to Brentford.

2.) 06 Jul 2019 16:32:08
After signing Costa, I thought, could this at last be a good Transfer Window. Now if Jansson goes, which sounds highly likely, and possibly others to follow, it seems all is not well. If, as it is being made out, there is a fallout with Jansson, I understand letting a player go if he is unsettling the squad. But who will we get in his place? and £5.5m seems a paltry amount for a fully fledged International. With uncertainty over Philips also, I wonder what the powers that be have got lined up, if anything.

3.) 06 Jul 2019 16:40:55
The positive posters get very quite sometimes.

4.) 06 Jul 2019 17:08:24
I’m not quiet. £5.5 million is shocking business, but if there is any truth in the stories about refusing pain killers to play in the Derby 1st leg, then insisting he should play in the 2nd leg, then Pontus is deluded, and thinks he is more important than any other player, and bigger than the team. He’s given us fans the rods basically, through his petulant attitude. He can go rot and pump his fists for another team. I’m confident we will replace him!

5.) 06 Jul 2019 17:18:01
If we were buying PJ from another team then we would be quoted more than £5.5 million. If he is going (and I think he is) then so be it, but once again we seem happy to take less than what his true value should be. I hope every penny from his sale is spent on his replacement.

6.) 06 Jul 2019 17:22:32
We are giving him away, probably to a rival in our division (Fulham) , thus strengthening their position whilst weakening our own. To find a player of equal or better ability for £5m is going to be difficult. Players from Leyton Orient may be good for the future but we need here and now. Hopefully not Cooper and White as our starting central defensive pairing, I just don't so as this being good enough. Apologies for the negativity but I am really despondent about this.

7.) 06 Jul 2019 18:26:24

I am still positive

Jansson didn't lead us to the Premier League so I am just being level headed.
I think he has some great qualities, but other Championship teams have gone up without any international defenders so I don't think it's a game changer.

I wish we could get more fee for him, as I am sure Radz does, but he is only worth what someone wants to pay. It will be the same with Saiz

Onwards and upwards
Who ever fills that shirt will get my support.

8.) 06 Jul 2019 18:51:40
Posted this before I found out it was Brentford making the offer.

9.) 06 Jul 2019 20:01:54
All well and good Axe but to give him away to the first bidder.
