The Beilsa story might have some substance. Thoughts please

1.) 01 Jun 2018 11:27:35
I honestly think he'll transform us. Radz is listening, here comes the plan. 3-3-3-1 BPF
Pontus, Kyle, Luke
Pearce, Forhsaw, Dallas
Saiz, Hernandez, Goncalves

2.) 01 Jun 2018 11:52:21
What the hell, mad Italian logic and Radz calls himself a business man? . If this rumour is true it beggars belief ! It was less than a month ago Radz was spouting lessons had been learned about recruitment and transfers. He gave me the impression it was staying close to home in transfer market buying and loaning quality players who know the league and are experienced. What the heavens does Briesla know about our league, who are quality players with championship experience and ability. There will be no Kyle Bartley, no Maddison or Marriott or Abel Hernandez, there will be no John McGinn. Just getting frustrated is all and having a rant, trying to remain optimistic and grounded with rational thinking ‘ Rome not built in a day’ blah blah ! Rant over and hoping everything plays out more positively than I imagine at the moment! MOT

3.) 01 Jun 2018 12:38:03
Bielsa would be a massive sign of intent. He has one of the best reputations as a coach, and helped develop both Pep and Poch.

4.) 01 Jun 2018 15:29:13
Much being made of the M. D. being in Argentina last week, but what if he was after Sabella?

5.) 01 Jun 2018 19:40:25
Well at least something s happening, hopefully turning a corner moving in right direction. Dare to dream?

6.) 01 Jun 2018 23:30:01
The coach isn't signing the players here bilko I think that's quite obvious considering yiadom wasn't signed. To me the coach will be giving a list of hwta he wants, bartley will be signed as one for the fans, and orta will go out and do his best to get what the manager wants. to be honest, I thin kwhat Christiansen asked for was a little tricky gem, saiz, I think he wanted a holding midfielder, Forshaw, a left back, de bock who never came good, and a pacey skilful winger and a poacher as that's what he was in his day, alioski and lasogga. in fairness, that's what he got, the wheels just fell off under TC. I think if we get bielsa and he's very, very clear and precise about what he wants, he will do well.

7.) 02 Jun 2018 09:31:38
IBiko, your post is a true, some just can’t see it mate and those thumbs down boys just do like it when someone post it like it is, great post mate.

8.) 02 Jun 2018 13:03:00
The formation is 3-3-1-3 so, drop Hernandez and Hernandez back one ;)

29 May 2018 22:59:22
All this hesitation with heckingbottom should he stay or should he go. Shows that when it comes to football Radz hasn't a clue. Playing bad football will drag us backwards just as quickly as bad business. Radz needs to crap or get off the toilet

02 Mar 2018 21:35:43
Please let lassogo go at the end of the season too light weight for this league

1.) 02 Mar 2018 21:48:38
Was he in midfield tonight?

02 Mar 2018 21:00:49
Radz out bring back Massimo we are going from bad to worse

1.) 03 Mar 2018 00:40:01
No thanks. Seen his freak show. Stay in Italy.

30 Jan 2018 21:55:14
Hopefully now we've signed Roberts and forshaw and le bock change is about to come

We should be banging on the gates of Elland Road and calling for answers from these charlatans that are at the helm of this great football club. Someone needs to inform them about the history of this club and its fans and the fact that it deserves so much more than they have in their plans. Radz and Co need to step up or get out.

1.) 18 Jul 2018 20:28:53
Spot on Wex. Two weeks to go and only two loan signings and a kid signed from Morecambe. The powers that be need to get some quality signed and fast as no matter how good the Manager is he would have to be a miracle worker to improve some of the dross that turned out for us last season.

2.) 18 Jul 2018 20:37:59
Agree Wex, I think Radz priorities lie with his sports tv live streaming business. Leeds Utd is the toy that is chucked in the toy box and gets the odd bit of attention now and again.
He will not get us out of this league (not upwards anyway) and into the promised land doing things on the cheap. Wasn't anything learnt from the last season? Maybe we have a better manager/ coach but need to bring in some quality buys. As Brightwhite said last week, no good getting Gordon Ramsay in to cook and only give him oven chips.

3.) 18 Jul 2018 20:41:56
The fans of this club do not need to be reading about other clubs in the division picking up the players available while we dither about taking pot shots and hoping to get a lucky break on some player from an unknown league. We are fast becoming a joke. Bringing in a manager of some quality and then flounder around in the transfer market with the likes of Peterborough playing us like fools.

4.) 18 Jul 2018 22:30:43
Radz said he has a 5 year plan for taking us back to the Premier league and if we get there sooner it would be a bonus. I hope he realises for his plan to happen it is necessary to strengthen the team season upon season and if need be employing good managers and coaching staff when necessary. Waiting till year 4 or 5 of his ownership will be a car crash as players and their wages with agents fees will be god knows.
We don’t want left behind and slipping down the leagues.
It’s great he has bought back ER and is improving the clubs branding etc but it’s a concern no player transfers of note are incoming and Radz is scooping up TV rights its a worry difficult to believe he is unaware of these issues.

15 Jul 2018 18:27:21
It's saying something about fifa and the world in general when the likes of Putin is on this world stage

1.) 15 Jul 2018 19:05:22
Apparently next world cup to be moved to Myanmar

2.) 15 Jul 2018 19:51:30
What do you want them to do? Take on one of the most powerful men in the world jeopardizing billions in revenue? I'm all for no corruption but only the great Donald can do such things. At least FIFA banned Blatter until 2022.

3.) 15 Jul 2018 19:58:54
Ethics George this guy could be personally responsible for poisoning your fellow Country people

4.) 15 Jul 2018 20:32:12
Football guys leave the politics for another site

5.) 15 Jul 2018 20:44:04
I doubt it Wex. Russians of the calibre you refer to don't make mistakes. The guys who did this were amateurish by comparison.

6.) 16 Jul 2018 06:31:31
George, wrong again, They just cock up, could be someone you know next.

7.) 16 Jul 2018 08:45:30
personally i think they were poisoned by our own government as part of a political agenda. The other 2 victims were nothing to do with espionage but a similar MO? it suited may to blame Russia but she has been much less outspoken about the second case.

8.) 16 Jul 2018 09:09:57
Alf You off your rocker mate. Stick to footie.

9.) 16 Jul 2018 11:04:24

15 Jul 2018 17:27:51
Mbappe 19 why in England are we so reluctant to let our young players on to the stage

1.) 15 Jul 2018 18:02:49
Because our top league is so money oriented no body would take the risk of playing the kids to see if they are good enough. Go back to the days of limited foreign players and maybe we'll produce the same standard of players.

2.) 15 Jul 2018 18:13:50
That's not it at all Canada. Old enough good enough. Foreigners in England have only helped English players raise the bar. The answer is Mbappe is a one off. It's not like other countries have a glut of world class teenagers either.

3.) 15 Jul 2018 18:21:43
Sorry George wrong. Which English players now are better than we produced years ago? Be honest and youll admit not too many. I agree good enough old enough, but you only find out if they're good enough if you play them. Teams don't as the cost of not winning is too much. That's why our top clubs send their young talent out on loan to see if they are good enough!

4.) 15 Jul 2018 18:36:46
Wasn't the average age if the England team lower than ever before ? I reckon the young ones that are good enough are getting a chance. George is right, Mbappe is a complete one off !

5.) 15 Jul 2018 18:57:21
Canada Pickford put in a world class display throughout the tournament surpassing former goalkeepers of recent times in my opinion. He is certainly Seaman standard. Defense. When did we ever have goalscoring central defenders who can defend and play with the ball at feet? Stones and Maguire. When did we last have another defender in Walker who is as fast as? Trippier did brilliantly with his crossing. Rose and Young acquitted themselves. Midfielders did okay, we just lack that extra world class guile. Sterling got real speed and unlucky not to score. Rashford and Loftus-Cheek lively and good players. Kane won golden boot. What else you want? Not all countries get to produce a Modric. Our team has clearly benefitted from the influx of foreigners but I'm all for a cap because the balance is slightly off. However, saying our defense hasn't improved from Shilton Butcher Wright Pearce and Parker is just ludicrous. We do lack a Gazza and I wish we had one but saying no improvement is just totally wrong. Want more improvement, Canada? Try researching penalty shoot out. Everyone in Canada, sorry Britain knows we are improved.

6.) 15 Jul 2018 18:58:02
Erm the French league is also full of foreign players just like the premier league is. Unfortunately if ya want the best league in the world then it will always have a detrimental effect on the national team. England have been far better than in previous years but we are a long long way off winning any tournament.

7.) 15 Jul 2018 18:58:24
Yes but to say England's young players are doing well due to imports makes no sense when we have flooded our top league with them for 3 decades now. The top 10% to 20% of those players do enhance for sure but how many average imports do we have who would be no better than our young home grown players if we gave them a fair chance. We don't give many of our young players the chance to show what they can do against the best players as clubs can't afford to get relegated. Let's be 100% honest almost all decisions these days are financial. Clubs are businesses so either our young are not good enough to give a chance to or we don't give them the chance due to the financial risk.

8.) 15 Jul 2018 19:03:33
Sorry guys but England had a soft run in the tournament and were beaten by any team of quality unless we class beating Panama and scraping a result against Tunisia

9.) 15 Jul 2018 19:07:57
Ryan seggonson (If that's how you spell it) Canada. Ripped it up last year at 16_17 yrs old

10.) 15 Jul 2018 19:13:03
So how did the under 17s. 19s and 21s do this summer and last summer etc. How many years in a row has the Toulon tournament been won. I’m not english. But I think the youth is being brought on great from grass roots and the new st George’s Park is a tremendous boost, . but the premier league does present its own problems with money to bring in top European and World top players that hinders the English youth. But given time this may change with the success off the youth lately. 🇬🇧👌⚽️😊

11.) 15 Jul 2018 19:19:39
George you miss the point (again) . Nobody can deny England did well (although we beat nobody who you say is a top class team and you can only beat who are aired with) . My point is if we did give our young players the opportunity to play against the likes of Kante Pogba we may have produced that top player to take us to the next level. How many players develop late. Lots. Loftus-Cheek can't even get in his own team. What you seem to be saying is as he isn't good enough to give the opportunity to its good for his parent club to bring in yet another player from abroad who is slightly better right now. We can produce top players and do produce some (always have) . I want us producing more and more so that we expect to reach every semi. Not sure if you do haha

12.) 15 Jul 2018 19:39:19
Hardly Canada. I know the game very well. Re-read what I said originally. I said foreigners have helped English players raise the bar. Why not phone in from Canada and speak to Lineker, Shearer or Ferdinand and ask them have foreign players coming into the PL raised the playing level of good developing English talent? Bet they say yes! Simple basic fact of working life. If you interact with better teachers you'll become better!

13.) 15 Jul 2018 19:41:44
Exactly batty! Much has been learned from the PL foreign influx money doninating project and now England is reaping the benefits after quarter of a century. All we lack that I can see is a Modric. Maybe we'll get one soon.

14.) 15 Jul 2018 20:13:35
Thanks for finally agreeing with me George. I knew you'd get there! By your own admission interacting with better players you get better. I couldn't agree more (which is why I always had my teams play up an age group) So why don't we allow young players to interact with better players in England instead of replacing them with other slightly more 'proven' players? You can disagree with my belief it's about money all you want. With you knowing so much about the game why don't you enlighten the rest of us as to why we don't produce the players then?

15.) 15 Jul 2018 20:25:45
Martyn, not sure what your Sessagnon post is meaning? Great young player for sure. Hopefully we can produce lots lots more like that in this country. The post is about why we don't give them a shot. I want as many young English players as possible getting that chance to learn their craft from the best just don't see it changing too much unfortunately.

16.) 15 Jul 2018 20:53:47
Canada You really are unprintable word. Like I said there are a fraction too many teachers but if it wasn't for them our tactics, passing and understanding of the game wouldn't have improved as it has. I appreciate them. It is somewhat disconcerting that Loftus-Cheek didn't get as much game time and this is reflected at his club but he can move to a middle tier PL team like Leicester or Palace and get all the game time he wants. Only the top 6 behave as you refer. The other 14 clubs are not as guilty. Besides, Brexit will no doubt restrict the influx of foreigners next decade.

17.) 15 Jul 2018 22:58:54
Only 30% of players in Premiership is British, Foreign owners mean foreign coaches foreign players fact just because there foreign doesn't make them better players it's just an obsession, if the majority of clubs were British owned we'd see more British players but unfortunately the Foreign owners have the money.,

18.) 16 Jul 2018 00:09:21
Look at the European leagues. Premiership has highest % imports. French the second lowest. Coincidence that they have the best young players around?

19.) 16 Jul 2018 00:19:49
Canada Without them, we'd still be playing long ball. They enriched our leagues with entertainment.

20.) 16 Jul 2018 00:54:02
I don't disagree that the best ones do. My point is we can and do produce youth who can do what most of the non top ones do and would become better and better if we let them. We don't because clubs are scared to due to financial reasons.

21.) 16 Jul 2018 06:35:04
George, with all what you say and we still didn’t win anything,

22.) 16 Jul 2018 06:37:50
Kly your right look at Leeds over the past 5 years most from overseas

23.) 16 Jul 2018 08:34:42
Batty. the Premier league and all its iterations before NEVER brought in world class players. This is actually one of my huge bugbears about the "allegedly" richest league in the world best player in the world at the moment, Ronaldo, we let him leave. second best player in the world, Messi, never considered this country. third best player in the world, Neymar, went to France! soon to be the best player in the world, Mbappe, staying in France of all places. Previous best players, Ronaldiniho, Ronaldo (sr) , Zidane, all the way back to Maradona. None ever reach our shores BTW, DeBruyne, Salah have become World Class after coming to England
IF each club stopped buying 5 average foreigner benchwarmers. Added up there transfer fees. Added up their wages. They could ALL afford Neymar. And give the benchwarming duties to our own "qualified" young talent. Watch and learn boys, watch and learn Leeds have had a clear out. Can't tell me they haven't save £40,000 per week in wages. So why hasn't Abel Henandez signed? Antonsson, £16k per week! That should have gone in Chris Woods pocket. Along with the £2million transfer fee. Saiz would have had 101 assists

24.) 16 Jul 2018 08:43:28
Whitey We reached the last 4 in the WC, our best finishing position since the creation of the PL. There's only one winner of a tournament. What do you prefer, us getting knocked out at group stage, not even qualifying at all?

25.) 16 Jul 2018 13:27:34
Don't know about enriching our entertainment George the premier league has become a bit of a bore. Not many classic games like Leeds 4 Liverpool 3 anymore

26.) 16 Jul 2018 14:06:28
Yes Wexy spot on because 5000-1 rank outsiders Leicester didn't win the PL in 2017. It's become ever too predictable and not the place to be if you're an ambitious club. Yep, it's another worldbeater!

27.) 16 Jul 2018 19:58:28
George, PL is reported to be the best, how is it we can’t win anything, since 66, and yes saves the the hassle, and the crap we get from it, oh it’s coming home like bloody hell

28.) 16 Jul 2018 23:34:15
Whitey Because it's dominated by foreign players and foreign owners. 40% PL clubs are domestically owned. We've done well and should've got to final but Southy didn't freshen it up. We are progressing headed in right direction. However, I'm expecting French resistance at the Euros and in Qatar. Wouldn't surprise me if they win there too. We do need to make adjustments if we want to succeed but the PL has little to do with the England FA ans betterment of the team. It's all about money in the PL.

29.) 17 Jul 2018 09:49:36
It's all about money in PL is it GIW? Yet giving young players a shot is not about money! You've gone full circle and tied yourself up in your own knot.

12 Jul 2018 21:14:22
Well unless we are signing one of the finalists the excuse of the difficulties surrounding signings during the world cup is no longer viable. WTF is going on. Apparently money is there to be spent. Yet again Leeds seem to have found a billionaire that won't spend

1.) 12 Jul 2018 21:56:13
Anyone else underwhelmed by the thought of Blackman coming in? . thought BPF did enough last season to be given the chance to start as number 1 this season, I would imagine Chelsea will want assurances he’s number one and BPF will be back up,

2.) 12 Jul 2018 22:05:42
Is the money really there tho wex? We only know what they spin us. If it's such a slow difficult market how come forest, bora, Norwich and West Brom are all making significant headway in the market. I'll give Bubba till Xmas before he jumps ship and we end up heckingbottom 2.0

3.) 12 Jul 2018 22:01:06
Plenty of players out there we want, but the reality is, if you want proven championship players then you have to pay the wages, I believe that’s the biggest stumbling block for us at the moment, not sure who are top earner is but whoever it is won’t be anywhere near the 30k a wk vydra wants or 40j a week Hernandez wants.

4.) 12 Jul 2018 22:53:16
Apparently we have done away with the wage cap. And where is the investment money from the 49ers. I've said it before the end of last season if massimo was carrying on like this lot the planes would be flying banners long ago. Radz out

5.) 13 Jul 2018 01:41:38
Said at the time radz had panicked and thrown stupid money at a manager. He might turn out to be great. But radz decisions of late seem spur of moment. Not a lot of thought behind them. We can only hope that the current non activity is down to seeing who is good enough and how many we can get rid of. I’m quite happy not to get Vydra or fern cause they are money grabbers but the team def needs 3-4 very good players. And they will cost good money. Don’t think any of the current management and owners etc know what a good player is and are willing to pay good money. I think when the new players come in. We will be underwhelmed.

6.) 13 Jul 2018 03:43:17
Your right wex couldn't agree more. More fool us lot for falling for it time and time again

7.) 13 Jul 2018 10:41:15
Think Bielsa was def the right guy to get. Wages irrelevant if he does the job. Thing is they then need to back him with quality signings and that's not happened yet. I think we have quite a few quality players here that he will get the best out of and some very good youngsters who he will help progress. Think we would more than hold our own with what we have got but if promotion is the target need 3,at least, quality signings to come in this window to join Baker. Not sure that's going to happen. Not sure how he is going to set the defence up but that's a concern for me at the minute and if Roberts turns out to be a dud we will be relying on kids upfront all season.

8.) 13 Jul 2018 13:15:21
You think new manager can make current squad hold their own? Please explain how relegation candidates begin to hold their own.

9.) 13 Jul 2018 13:30:42
I can see the signings all being loans with the money we have spent on wages. we seem to be trying to loan quality youngsters and hoping Bielsa can coach them to success. we will be like England mark 2 depending on youth, teamwork and a good plan to take us forward.

10.) 13 Jul 2018 14:24:59
And not facing a good team all competition Alf? Errrrrrr. Not going to work mate.

11.) 13 Jul 2018 21:27:34
Teamwork and a good plan worked for Wolves and Cardiff last season, two real TEAMS, two completely different plans. Let's just go for it and see what happens after the first 12 or so games
