Looks like Cody off to Cardiff.
Hope to goodness rumours of Summerville going anywhere aren't true.

Depends if they are going to get game time. If not, better for them to develop elsewhere.

Slightly concerned. Need the 3 today. Others seem to be getting results. Villa and QPR off the boil. Was hoping these would help us out. Hudders luck due to expire, (when they play Fulham) . Do not want it to go to wire. let's get the 3 today.

We always have difficulty playing teams who park up and drag back or bring down anyone who looks likely to be through.
They can do this because they know our corners or free kicks are easily dealt with, and of course refs are lenient, even with blatant penalty calls.
Don't blame them, its the best tactic to get a result.

Indeed Whitesee. Our lowest expected goals are both the games against Sunderland.

Our Free-kicks and Corner routines are really poor and have been for a long time. When I am at the game and we "win" a corner it always amuses me that the crowd goes all vocal and excited as if there is any real prospect of goal. I would hazard a guess that we have scored the least goals directly from a corner.

When was the last time, a Leeds player stood over a direct free-kick that any fan had any confidence would score for us; it's been a long time.

2.) 10 Apr 2024 18:40:21
Raph and esp King Pablo free kick masters

DJ started looking quite good on free kicks pre International break

Maybe that Amari guy might have been good on free kicks

George was right about the scoreline nil nil and imo Cressy goals

Still think we have missed out on a potential load of Cressy headed goals from set pieces.

Last night I called in to my mates to watch the match, Steve whose house it was is an Everton supporter, while Tony and Andy are Man Utd fans, the odd one out was Gregg who is a Birmingham fan. Now then, Man Utd, Everton, Birmingham, my god do they all have major problems going on! Everton by far the most worrying as relegation is hanging round their neck, so 4 hours of banter and football talk, absolute heaven, but even though those supporters did not slate their team or manager, Everton l’s board came in for scrutiny and Ten Hagg was mentioned twice, while Birmingham, well that speaks for itself eh! lol. My point is they all have worse issues than us, in fact lots worse than us, so why is it negative from some posters on here and not constructive criticism? Why is the negativity aimed so intentionally at some posters? This is one of our best seasons for four years, and may I add a lot better than a lot of other teams out there!

{Ed025's Note - well certainly Everton Woody..

4.) 10 Apr 2024 19:35:58
Woody mate perhaps they don’t have ambition like Leeds fans and perhaps they are happy with there team perhaps they don’t have quality sitting on there bench week in week out and a manager who brings on players who should have been on at the start not give them less then 10 minutes to work miracles perhaps we are more passionate about our team because we seem to have crap referees week in week out who knows.

5.) 10 Apr 2024 19:39:16
Woody perhaps to mate we play by the rules when others don’t and try to blame c.v. and when we don’t we get 25 points deduction with no right to appeal to get it reduced that why they all all happy perhaps.

6.) 10 Apr 2024 19:52:30
You make some good points Whiteman and I respect that, but maybe just missing the point that I’m getting at. We are 2nd, after 3 seasons of doing nothing, we have lots to cheer about and get excited about, last three game 2 draws one loss after an amazing run. Just one point I would like to say is that when we beat Millwall before the international break everything was great! So maybe not all DF’s fault! Wales got beat, Finland got beat, we had 3 injuries from it and a few players with their heads down after defeat! It’s not all DF’s fault and it’s also down to the players mate, but good post. ?.

7.) 10 Apr 2024 22:19:58
Ani you beat me to the point about corners and free kicks, but I have posted about this previously. We had 13 corners last night and I think it was 9 corners against Coventry on Saturday, and apart from the penalty appeal where Rodon was getting his shirt pulled and the handball incident in last night’s game, we haven’t threatened the opposition at all. Can someone tell me, do we have a set piece coach?! I know it’s a ridiculous question, but I have to ask it.
Also our shooting in general is woeful. Summerville seems to be our only player who can kick the ball cleanly. What do they do every day in training?

8.) 10 Apr 2024 23:25:19
If we have a set piece coach, he must be on sick leave. Every element of our set play is really 2nd rate. From goal kicks to throw-ins, zero threat. Even last night as the game was nearing the end, we had a series of free-kicks and we were toothless with them. We didn’t even have the composure to hoof it up field and put it into the mixer.

On the other side, we have the most goals from open play and remarkably conceded the least from open play.

9.) 11 Apr 2024 03:06:50
C&J Gnonto can hit the ball clean.

10.) 11 Apr 2024 06:52:07
Gruev is also very handy with dead ball shots. Has only been allowed to take one, I believe?

11.) 11 Apr 2024 22:09:14
Not sure about that George. 6 minutes of added time, and it’s the 96th minute against Coventry on Saturday we got a corner, everyone up, including meslier (not really sure why he bothered) and little Willy couldn’t get it passed the first man on the post. Whereas Summerville is normally consistent on kicking the ball cleanly. I sometimes think Rutter has on welders boots with some of his efforts on goal. Watch this, he’s a cert to lash in a 30 yarder against Blackburn on Saturday now!

Great to keep the points rolling . Wasn't easy and they made us struggle with the press in second half. Reckon they will trouble Ipswich. Like to mention the u21 lads . Really good win at Bournemouth Friday against a vg team. Enjoyed that match, lads stuck at in when they looked in trouble early on in both halves . Very young set. Charlie Crew looks good to me.

Bit concerned with our game via Norwich arranged so soon after potential bruiser with Preston, and then cup game Saturday with Plymouth having their rearranged game not until Feb.

Whitesee

1.) 19 Jan 2024 14:31:43
8 days between previous game and this Preston game . so energy levels should be veey high for Preston

No excuses should be no problem 2 home games ( crucially no travel ) of Sunday 12 noon then Wednesday 8pm ( 78 hours plus recovery time fof Norwich game and crucially no travelling )

2.) 19 Jan 2024 17:56:35
No room for a marginal lucky win this time then Baz. It’s an easy 5 nil win or nothing.

3.) 19 Jan 2024 19:29:03
OP you heard it here first

Minimum 5 nil Leeds win incoming.

Baz Guarantee.

4.) 19 Jan 2024 21:08:41
I will accept 5. Clean sheet essential too.

5.) 19 Jan 2024 21:56:24
5 nil would be just right.

6.) 20 Jan 2024 07:01:42
? Cuppa ☕. Now run along and make us a cup of tea ☕. Board meeting with Baz commences soon.

7.) 20 Jan 2024 07:34:40
Indeed Georgey

Top secret board meeting at that.

Crumpets and bagels required too.

8.) 20 Jan 2024 14:37:40
Baz Farking love crumpets and bagels. Consumed way too many over the decades.

My first new year wish, not asking for too much. A home draw in the next round, or any round of the FA cup.

Whitesee

1.) 06 Jan 2024 17:52:18
I’ll take being in the draw!

2.) 06 Jan 2024 18:10:43
I just wish were in the hat for the next round but I don’t think we will be.

3.) 06 Jan 2024 18:11:25
Have to win first.

4.) 06 Jan 2024 18:23:20
My first new year wish of 2024 is

that OP somehow gets his Championes prediction right. not asking for too much surely ??

All together now Champion Leeds ??⚽️??? Champion Leeds ??

Huge celebration of drinks ??? all kindly funded by OP in May lads.

5.) 06 Jan 2024 20:15:09
Baz My wish is that Firpo plays like OP's natural LB and just like Dorigo in his prime.

6.) 06 Jan 2024 20:28:48
Don't want much do you George!

I'm just grateful that one bad apple has been removed (Spence) and keeping fingers crossed that if BA does return - albeit via an Uber - that we turn that particular vehicle around straight away and off to pastures new.

7.) 06 Jan 2024 21:01:39
Cleggy Baracus will make a fantastic option off the bench in either the National Northern or Welsh Premier League.

8.) 06 Jan 2024 21:44:52
? wonder how much an Uber would cost from Leeds to Wales - it would be worth it though!

9.) 06 Jan 2024 22:07:27
To be only seeing the worst in your own football team is quite sad, in my opinion.

10.) 06 Jan 2024 23:46:58
Very sad indeed OP!

11.) 07 Jan 2024 00:30:48
OP on the contrary some people have realism rather your fantasy forecasts that never ever come even close to happening

Lets see what happens with next two AWAY matches. Leeds Achilles heel. to see if you and MG have backed the wrong horse again.

12.) 07 Jan 2024 00:53:33
Baz And ultimately that's the real problem, perhaps the only problem in this division. Farke doesn't know how to set up and play away from home against the mediocre low block sides. As previously posted, we need variety away from home. A CF who is a CF whom can do CF things. Sort it this window OP and don't forget the full backs.

13.) 07 Jan 2024 02:58:09
Hey George…we should play all those players we don’t have; that will sort it.

If only Farke had your “expertise. ”.

14.) 07 Jan 2024 04:59:28
Ani Interesting reverse logic from you. We don't have a type of player needed, there's a transfer window to remedy but let's not use it because that would be the common sense thing to do! Did I say let's play a player we don't have? No. Second time you've done that in respect of my posts.

15.) 07 Jan 2024 08:33:56
Hey George, just to be clear, you shouldn’t use a word like respect in the context of any your posts, not at least, until you understand what the word means, and secondly, until you show some to other posters.

I think I speak for a lot around here, in that we’re tired of you snide comments and childish emoji digs.

16.) 07 Jan 2024 09:14:04
Ani How do you know I don't understand what the word "respect" means? Reasons why I do:

1. It's basic English
2. I speak English
3. I write English
4. Done 2&3 above for 5 decades
5. Received very high marks in all my exams (taken in English) including university

Do enlighten though. Respectfully.

17.) 07 Jan 2024 13:15:31
I must concede George, your post made me smile.

Anyway, given your extensive experience, there is no doubt you should know what the word means and stands for, so there is absolutely no excuse for not showing a little bit more of it around here.

Don't think Osmajic antics influenced ref in Meslier red. Nobody is that naïve. Suspect was only option. Perhaps a more apt decision could have been yellow for tearing into a clash that wasn't his, and another yellow for the beyond credible simulation, and then further penalty by authorities foe bringing game into disrepute.

Whitesee

1.) 28 Dec 2023 13:28:06
He was playing in white too, fortunately for him he wasn’t wearing a Leeds United shirt!

2.) 28 Dec 2023 16:40:50
If Mes was smart he would either

1) ideally been savvy by falling to the ground from the initial contact feigning injury from the Preston player thus potentially getting him sent off

Or at very least

2) Laughed it off, walked away . anything but not put his hand in his face getting himself sent off

CLUELESS.

3.) 28 Dec 2023 19:58:57
Baz It indicates Statuelier/ Furyier level of intelligence and attitude.

But we still have a chance. Fulham and Wed might lose points. One of these have to depend on us dropping points. Still in our hands.

Those fighting the drop are often hardest to beat, and we have a few to play. With Summerville being blatantly and deliberately targeted it will be tough for him. Maybe the key to our promotion could lie in the Ipswich Southampton game. Don't know yet which way best for us.

And suppose these release clauses account for the lack of fight to stay in the premiership.
