Several times a loss in the 3rd round of the cup has determined our season. Cardiff, Sutton and now I have a depressing feeling that the Newport will see the wheels come off and a terrible 4 months eventuate. Hope I am wrong but I've seen it before and have a gut feeling. PS I am not an optimist.

1.) 08 Jan 2018 09:25:46
I'm not convinced the FA cup results were the 'cause' of the wheels coming off in those seasons - rather, i suspect they were a symptom of the true cause which was that we weren't good enough.

29 Aug 2017 16:53:52
Not used to all these positives since early 2000's. But can't help thinking if a club like Palace or West Ham or one of them sack their manager and have millions to spend to keep them safe from relegation, they will just look at the poor relations in the Championship and take who they want. because they can. I know TC is contracted but these Prem clubs have money to buy out contracts. Just being cautious as being kicked in the guts is how us Leeds fans live.

1.) 29 Aug 2017 17:25:02
Octo I get where you're coming from, but for
Me TC is a different breed and so is Rads. I think they're both in it for the long haul and share the vision and dream.

2.) 29 Aug 2017 17:51:03
Thing is, you can't just take TC, you have to take the whole backroom staff including Bravo and Orta. I don't see him leaving, he doesn't seem like the type to walk away and he was really keen to come here.

3.) 29 Aug 2017 17:59:08
I'm with you on that one Curahee, Radz is to smart and TC seems very committed and like I said in a previous post he celebrates when we score so his heart is with us, for the first time in a long time we are building for the future and anyone who comes in Radz will make sure they buy into it. MOT

4.) 29 Aug 2017 18:02:43
Think you're right Octo, but am in agreement with Cura on this one. Reckon there will be all sorts of clauses in TC's contract too for loyalty, and like Cura says, I think we are onto something different with these guys.

5.) 29 Aug 2017 18:46:21
Despite his European pedigree, both playing and managing, TC was a bit of a punt (but, I guess all Championship managers are, to a degree - what with the nature of the league) so, I don't really see a solid Premier League team coming calling just yet. Potentially next season (provided we have a fairly good one) could see some top flight oppo come calling. That said, I do trust him and the board to make the right decisions.

6.) 29 Aug 2017 18:58:09
I think Palace would be more likely to get Colin or Fat Sam back.

7.) 29 Aug 2017 19:08:16
Apparently West Ham want Benitez and Newcastle would never go for TC. theyd go for someone they have to pay much more money to for poorer results than TC. So maybe even very terribles for them then! 😂

21 Aug 2017 23:50:01
According to NZ media, chris wood is on 55K (pounds) per week at burnley. Surely this can't be right? If it is, then can't blame him for going. I was never a fan of wood. always thought he was a donkey. Eeeee-haaaawwww

octopus eats crocodile

1.) 22 Aug 2017 10:19:55
Wow that's . £3666 a minute of game time ;-)

2.) 22 Aug 2017 10:39:38
From what I read it's likely to be much lower with Burnley's top earner coming in at 35k. He'll still be on a massive pay increase no doubt. Careful this doesn't turn into another Seth Johnson like myth.

3.) 22 Aug 2017 13:40:20
its certainly possible - premiership wages and Burnley's record signing.

4.) 22 Aug 2017 14:07:05
Man. U got to question the sanity of burnley decision makers. Woods their highest buy? Good move boys.

5.) 22 Aug 2017 21:01:53
Don't mention Man U please Aus! 😜

6.) 23 Aug 2017 09:53:57
Aus Man C wot U did there.

24 Jan 2017 09:40:20
I know this sounds crazy but my friend emailed me saying that he has heard that van Persie is a possibility. We don't get many Dutch playing for Leeds. Yes please!

octopus eats crocodile

1.) 24 Jan 2017 18:55:07
Got me thinking now about our Dutch players. Terminator Bob is the only one I can think of. Got a mental block and struggling to think of anymore. Call myself a Leeds fan 😱

3.) 24 Jan 2017 19:20:08

4.) 24 Jan 2017 20:18:13
Doh. How could I forget about Jimmy and Clyde. I'm going through a midlife memory crisis I think.

5.) 24 Jan 2017 21:05:24
William Korsten, who defected to Spurs.

6.) 25 Jan 2017 08:30:24
What about the icon that was Robert Molenaar?

7.) 26 Jan 2017 15:38:05
not sure if he was dutch but pretty sure Jody Von Morris was part dutch as he was so skillful

25 Aug 2015 10:29:59
albert adomah is allegedly ready to walk out on middlesbro. we were after him a few years ago. would be a great addition to the Leeds team. yes please!

Sven Ulreich could be free soon. We like signing keepers with flaws.

octopus eats crocodile

1.) 02 May 2018 06:13:12
Wont matter who we sign if we keep Heck - relegation fight next year if he is the coach

2.) 02 May 2018 10:43:39
That’s the spirit.

3.) 02 May 2018 13:28:37
Let’s all have a sing song, altogether now; ‘always look on the bright side of life. ’

4.) 03 May 2018 21:14:54
LiG . that's one that's liked by THEM!

21 Mar 2018 20:45:01
Jaap Stam is free now. His win ratio is 1 in 18. let's get him!

octopus eats crocodile

1.) 21 Mar 2018 21:07:37
Snap him up

2.) 21 Mar 2018 22:28:22
He could be "one for the future"?

3.) 22 Mar 2018 07:57:03
He's the messaia and a very naughty boy

4.) 22 Mar 2018 11:15:24
Radz' next cheap option after Hecky is sacked.

5.) 22 Mar 2018 21:11:17
we could put him at the back next to Pontus?

17 Mar 2018 19:44:31
At least the talk of sneaking into the top 6 has stopped.

octopus eats crocodile

1.) 17 Mar 2018 21:02:11
Yeah, but now we're sneaking into the bottom six! 😳😡😡😡🍻

2.) 17 Mar 2018 22:05:35
Not too sure about "sneaking" Brighty.

03 Mar 2018 08:48:36
Sepp Maier, Oliver Kahn and Manuel Neuer are no Felix Wiedwald.

1.) 03 Mar 2018 09:48:07
How much to pay off his contract, let's set up a crowd funding page.

2.) 03 Mar 2018 10:48:31
Yea and double up on it to get rid of clueless hecky

3.) 03 Mar 2018 11:30:52
Getting boring Martyn. Who would you have as the Head Coach ? Please don't trot out Marco Silva, he sees himself better than the Championship.

4.) 03 Mar 2018 12:43:33
Well I wanted pullis before he went to bora but was shot down by everyone saying his styles boring! Well his style blew us off the pitch last night pal. This jobs too big for hecky it's going to chew him up and spit him out

5.) 03 Mar 2018 12:44:07
Not as boring as his team were last night notts

6.) 03 Mar 2018 13:15:09
PH may not be the answer but I am prepared to give him more than 5 games against teams in the top half of the league. The squad is simply not good enough and the Pulis of this world would not get any better tune from them. Also Pulis would not operate under the current regime we have as he wants to manage from top to bottom. And yes Martyn last night's performance was poor.

7.) 03 Mar 2018 14:23:45
Was beyond poor it was EMBARRASING

10 Feb 2018 21:10:39
This is affecting my health and social life. Wife and kids avoid me. Friends keep well away. I eat junk food to numb the recurring pain and anger that comes after almost every game. Nothing goes right. Can't find a park. Can't find my wallet. Makes me more pissed off and the cycle continues. Even when we equalised I JUST KNEW that Sharp would score the winner.

Losing has become such a habit and certainly so predictable, that I'm hoping for a massive asteroid to hit the earth. but with my luck. it would just miss. Another week of gloom and depression and dejection and anger not to mention being avoided by family and friends. Why why why did I chose Leeds when I was ten years old? To any ten year olds reading this. chose your team carefully. You will be stuck with them. You can divorce a woman, but not a useless football team.

Post of high quality from octo. I'm so unlucky octo if reincarnation is for real I'll probably come back as me!

2.) 10 Feb 2018 22:16:56
I know where your coming from, i have to constantly tell myself that its just football and there's more important things in life, if TC had been in charge today I think we'd have seen a heavier loss so maybe PH is turning things around, just not going to happen over night unfortunately - wish it bloody would tho

3.) 10 Feb 2018 23:32:13
I’m with you George and Octo, at the moment if I fell in a barrel of tits I would come out sucking my thumb! I can’t remember the last time I bought a Sunday paper and looked forward to reading our match report! The players look disjointed and they are not playing flowing football like they did in the opening games we had! Also when teams renew their Manager they have what you call a response to the new guy, not us though, still the same, I think we will be lucky to finishe in the top half, to far away and not enough games left to make a difference! I hope I’m wrong! MOT

4.) 11 Feb 2018 00:56:32
The one achievement we seem to have gained - Consistency?

5.) 11 Feb 2018 00:10:59
Rodney Trotter. Classic line.

6.) 11 Feb 2018 06:58:56
Consistently what tho leodis?

7.) 11 Feb 2018 09:04:50
Rubbish! M G

8.) 11 Feb 2018 11:02:46
It all starts at the bottom if your tools aren’t any good you get a crap job no matter how good you are, this all started at the beginning of our season, I won’t say I told you so.

9.) 11 Feb 2018 11:29:07
Consistently inconsistent . I'd imagine hecky is a bit more straight talking than TC Barnsley fans are calling him arrogant . I think they mean " confident". It's a fine line. He'll need the rest of the season to assess what he has and more a few out and a few in Even TC identified the problem, mental toughness, balls, will to win, whatever you call it, we need more of that. We've a soft underbelly.

10.) 11 Feb 2018 16:32:42
Won't make a difference identifying what we need when orta is doing the buying. It's get what your given. I'm. convinced orta is taking bungs from clubs and agents

11.) 11 Feb 2018 17:53:05
Careful Martyn, he'll have you for slander. Mind you I do hate it when people line their own pockets for very little effort, but if you send £20K to my personal bank account I won't tell him what you said! 😁😁

12.) 11 Feb 2018 18:41:32
Danum, slander is the spoken word, when it's in print it is libel.

13.) 11 Feb 2018 22:04:57
Nothing I wouldn't say to his face. So sue me lol

14.) 11 Feb 2018 22:53:31
Yeah I know George, but when Martyn posts I feel like he's talking to me! 🙊😉

Sorry to ask, but is this Japanese fella, the one we were after a few months ago and then he was suddenly tracked by another club with Japanese owner or sponsor or something? Orta announced it as a massive possible signing and we were all wondering if it was Messi or Ronaldo?

Wood is a donkey, albeit a very very lucky flukey one. I have seen him play for NZ against teams from the Pacific Islands like Papua New Guinea, Fiji etc and you would never guess in a million years that he was a paid professional. Awful first touch, slow, misses sitters, couldn't trap a bag of cement, but last season goals were pinging in off his ear, nose, knee, shin, backside, elbow etc. Luck will be due to run out.

Rugby? That's not a sport. just a bunch of overweight thugs trying to appear sporty. The "rugby world cup" is just a 6 nation tournament with the word "world" added to try to make it appealing.

A few years ago, Blackburn made a 5 year plan to culminate with winning the Champions League. I suppose being promoted from League 1 in year 4 is a belated start.
