The Lanky striker has been referred to in Denmark as 'the hitman'. In Dublin, A Monk looking for a Hitman is a bit scary! ( only some will get this)

Does anyone on here actually know who owns our great and once proud club at the moment.

Cellino family 75% Cellino 2% personnel and gfh 23%.

An awful lot of optimism on here. Have to say, my opinion is, that the Evans appointment is a joke . It makes us an even bigger laughing stock than we have been since we came up from L1, and that is some achievement! Always Leeds, but you guys who come on here talking up Evans are the same guys who have posted ' In . we trust' for the past ( must be getting near 50) managers!

1.) 20 Oct 2015 22:13:39
Plus side. There can't be much room left in Cellino's tummy to eat another manager.

It's not so much talking up Evans, I just want value for my hard earned money, last time I saw us win was In March, it may not work but if he can get the players to play a bit more up tempo and get results then it's for the good, I don't agree with the manager merry go round, but he's here now and I just want to feel optimistic, had enough of the negativity.

agree with Andy. firstly how does it make us a joke, not saying it don't but would like you to apply logic to that answer. Evans has always done kind of well where he has been, he has always had relative success everywhere he has been. I don't see how anyone can say he is a bad manager or he has not done a good job? I for one have not put I turst manager for every manager we have had, I hated hock with in five minutes and started the millwall chant of getting sacked in the morning nine minutes into his first game, and I think I was being kind by giving hock 8 minutes before slating him. the others have all warrented time and after some time (not long I admit) I have called for their heads (often before many others on this site) uwe had to go time was right (id of sacked him couple of weeks back but I am like MC's nasty brother) Evans however has had more success and been relavtivly better than any coach we have had in long long time, will he do it here? who knows but his c. v. is better than most and it would suggest he has a better chance than most others people have been calling for? everyone is entitled to an opinion but think stats or logic would be useful to back it up?

Well said bw!

I'm prepared to Give MC and Hockaday the benefit of the doubt for the moment. However I think MC lacks knowledge of the Championship and the type of player it takes to get you out of it. Furthermore I don't think it can work, at any club, whereby the CX is chasing and buying the talent he believes will do the job while the team coach has no real act or part in it. I think we have a coach who understands the Championship but can do very little to improve his side and a well intentioned CX ( the best we have had in years) who still has an awful lot to learn. MC please look at the type of team Sgt Wilko had in the championship (2nd Division) and how he utterly transformed it when we got promoted. Find someone who will kick the opposition in midfield and a winger who can feed Sharp. That would be a great start IMHO.

NOT sure how true it is but I saw the end of an interview with the Hock last week on TV.

Hock said BOTH he and MC put names forward for players they are interested in and a meeting takes place and everyone has to agree about the players before they are asked to join us.

(dont think he mentioned who everyone was at the meeting though, did anyone else see the interview?)

2.) I saw that interview, the board consists of Hock, MC, ronnie corbet, bannana man, Paris Hilton and James Cordon (that bloke gets everywhere).

in all honest I don't think MC really listens to anyone as he seems very set in his ways, that said I think the players he has got so far all seem decent (apart from ajose) MC's record in italy suggests he has good eye for player

Well Fleetwood have delivered on their part of the bet after only 13 minutes, so all we need now is for us to score 4 . Easy isn't it!

Hope Wales really go for it in the Semi and fair play to them for getting this far. However, let us not be so quick to slag off England. The Man utd supporters over here are famous for that sort of stuff. Rooney is a god in the man utd shirt and a demon when playing in the English shirt. Also the former Man utd man, Mr Ronaldo, is really getting on my wick, so a Wales victory would be even sweeter.

As an Irish White I hope you guys vote to stay, but you are dead right about the French. The security has been a joke for a country that was supposed to be on high alert. In fairness English fans have a bad rep but the Russians are absolute slumbags ( seen them attacking a group of a few men and mostly women and children in Moscow in 2011) and they have caused all of the problems in France. Your cops do a huge amount of work keeping well known hooligans at home but these Ruskies seem to be able to do what they want, and they are now mainly attacking families and guys with no history of football violence. Here's hoping England, Ireland ( north and south) , and Wales progress. MOT.
