Mate in Watford has said its being reported down there that Leeds have made an early enquiry about Deeney about a week ago and have been told very firmly he is not for sale. Not sure if I believe it or not but timing seems to fit with what TC was saying after Sunderland game

Just back fromn the game today, distictly average but listened with interest to GMs interview on radio Leeds. Charlie Taylor refused to play in the last game due to agent advise. god give me strength, here is a young man who LUFC have nurtured for what 8 maybe 9 years and a good living to for some one his age for the last 3 and an agent has the gall to say don't play well tell you what CT the club should not pay you until your contract expires, and the fans should know you for what you are; an agents puppet.

leave don't look back and never darken our door again because despite the loyalty we have shown you, you chose to walk away from theis great clun and fans for what. to sit on a bench at somewhere like Bournemouth and when you are found out remember what GM said today on the radio, bad advice make bad career moves happen.

yes your bank account may get a boost but at what cost to your career, benchwarmer seems to fit the bill, sad to say good riddance to greedy rubbish. RADZ get GM signed and continue MC good start business wise MOT

Sour grapes Wilsosd the lad has given 14 years service and was offered a poor contract from Cellino. People don't realise that as a 9 year old at Leeds Academy you don't get travel expenses your parents pay for everything i know from being there as a kid my parents paid a fortune and what happens to all the young lads that are not good enough? they get thrown away like garbage while the club make money off the Talented ones so i have only good things to say about Charlie he is a great lad and deserves a club that will reward his good performances.

Played golf this morning at Moor Allerton, ex legend there too had a brief chat about Hockaday, he thinks its a disgrace says players were informed of potential appointment at meetings with Cellino, says several senior squad players far from happy but were told take the decision or request a move, that way MC does not have to settle their contracts. probably true or grinding an axe not sure.

MOT CONFUSED!

wilsosd

1.) Who is the legend who is now an ex legend that was playing golf?

2.) Only Nigel Martyn plays at Mior Allerton

3.) If that's the case stay away from games see what happens

4.) Won't be Nige he's waiting for surgery after taring his bisep muscle from the bone! I know this from a mate of mine he plays cricket with.

5.) Yeh that's true Lufcmalaga he plays at a club in cookridge ;)

6.) Wilsosd
Tks for the info mate very interesting but which senior players have the right to be unhappy?
On last seasons performances they should take a long look in the mirror.

It is not NOEL HUNT the verbal agreement is with, unfortunately if my source is right, it is NOT even a striker! but a defender from another Championship side and that's as much as he would tell, source is Northern based football reporter for a national paper and not a red top

wilsosd

1.) Matt Mills is joining on season long loan but Hunt will be joining aswell on 1st of July.

2.) A reporter keeping something secret, there's a first.
Wake up!

3.) I work for local media in the Yorkshire area and news here is its Noel Hunt that has the verbal agreement in place with LUFC

4.) I don't care who the signing is, I just want another one.

5.) Worst kept secret at ER its Noel Hunt and I'll eat my short if he isn't

6.) The media gets most transfer stories wrong so I couldn't give a jot what they think. That said a CB makes sense, though I wouldn't expect it to be Matt Mills given his salary demands.

7.) Youll eat uour short what?? Are one of them bmempain olypics types? Hunt or not we need a signing.

8.) Really? We thought we needed signings a year ago -and look at the shower we ended up with. Does anyone seriously think Hunt would much of an improvement on, say, Varney? I'd rather Brian work with the core of decent players that we've already got, whilist gradually incorporating the best of the youth, than clog up the squad with a load more journeymen and veterans as Warnock did. As it happens, I think Brian thinks the same way -he is intelligent and patient enough to do so, as well as being sufficiently confident in his own ability. All a refreshing change from what we'd got used to. Chapel A

So if Woody is Gone for £15 mill, as i said in another post why not head to Watford and try for Deeney, proven in this league and given their recent purchases probably 3rd or 4th choice now, say £ 10 mill should do it, wages though may be an issue don't know what he earns

wilsosd

1.) 19 Aug 2017 13:02:50
Comes with baggage but better all round player than Wood and has proven eye for goal. Woul be 100% committed as likes to win.

2.) 19 Aug 2017 13:18:54
Wages would be a huge problem. Massive difference between championship and premier league. Just ask Wood Byram Cook or Taylor.

3.) 19 Aug 2017 15:11:09
Deeney is a leeds fan, probably not a big enough fan to drop around 40k a wk in wages. 😬

One day my son came home from school with English Homework and asked me "Dad, what's the difference between 'hypothetically' and 'reality'? so I said to him go upstairs and ask your mum if she would sleep with Bruce Willis for a million quid! so off went No 1 son and came back with mums answer "Of course she would, he's her idol and she would never waste such an opportunity" so then I said ask your sister if she would sleep with Tom Cruise for a million quid? off He want again and came back with "she said Yes in a heart beat, He's my fantasy! So! I said to my son "theres your difference 'Hypothetically' we are sitting with 2 millionaires, but in 'Reality' we are living with 2 sl*ts. "

Are we in danger of making the same mistake we did when Deniis Wise left and not looking at the assistant. Is/ was Pep the brains behind Monk, worth a shout in my opinion, either that or bring back Gus Poyet not that I am superstitious 17 Purple (can say that now Massimo has gone) but is it coincidence that DON REVIE and GUS POYET have the same number of letters in their every day names, bring back the glory get us GUS LOL!

wilsosd

1.) 26 May 2017 17:51:57
Poyet? you been on the sauce? Seriously we have an opportunity her to step up a gear and you put forward Poyet

I appreociate everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but what the flip! We have just had what is our best season in many a year and because we fell at the last hurdle there appears to be the NAY sayers on here spouting the "oh whoa is me", get over yourselves, We played the majority of this seasons games with what was up to 2 years ago a mixture of under 23/reserves team players plus two or 3 experienced heads, think the average average age of the team over the whole season is something like 23, there's only probably Leyton Orient with a younger squad in the entire football league.

So first season at this level for most of the team and people are having a go, yes mistakes were made but this is not championship manager, its real life. let's see what happens in June (which by the way ladies and gents is only 30 days or so away and not forgetting the rest of the football season will be done by then so NOTHING ominous in the timing of discussions) personally I would hope that Radz settles the other 50%, keeps Monk, gets rid of the hangers on and the loanees that haven't worked and gives him £10 to 15 million to bring in his preferred targets (Bartley for one for me is a must) plus 3 or 4 more quailty players. But as I said this isn't Championship Manager and all we can do in reality is renew/ buy our season tickets to support the team we all love onwards and upwards 2017/ 2018 here we come

wilsosd

1.) 30 Apr 2017 16:31:04
well said, Orient have got younger team but that is out of nessisity as the crazy owner and it has not worked out well for them at all, as someone very close to the club i am gutted for them and the fans a lot of whom i know really well. we have a young team who have done well, been positive and negitives but certainly best we have had in year. only thing i strongly disagree with is i hope mc stays, a great owner who has done a great job and i hope he stays and gets us up and i honestly believe he deserves to be part of a leeds set up that gets back into the prem

2.) 30 Apr 2017 19:12:49
Stronger investment in the right players during the January window and we may have made it this season.

3.) 30 Apr 2017 20:30:31
Kinda agreed with all said. We definitely missed a chance in January. Bermo ill be happy enough if MC leaves us though. He's too much hassle. Just hope I don't regret that statement.

4.) 30 Apr 2017 21:55:13
according to press and social media rad wants to get rid of monk MC wants him to stay. I always have liked and backed mc we now know with leeds he brings usccess and turns a club around, we saw same with his past club and leading it to its goladen age, we also know his own arroegnce is what drives him not to fail. I do not dislike rad or think he will be bad but know nothing of him to make me think he will be successful either. I trust MC i don't know rad

5.) 30 Apr 2017 22:47:21
I keep seeing January window as the tipping point. I think the problem was this, we looked very comfortable in playoff postion. Mr Monk thinks 1 point per game will see us there. He sets team up for a point, instead of going all out for 3. We finish 7th lesson learnt I hope.

01 Mar 2017 14:45:07
Don't get to the games as much as I used to, its good to be on Sky for our away games but I o have a gripe with Sky coverage and its simply expressed in 2 words Don Goodman, what an Anchor if his opinions were more biased he would be wearing the oppositions shirt. MOT Play offs here we come

wilsosd

1.) 01 Mar 2017 17:21:08
He's a complete hole at the bottom of one's back

2.) 01 Mar 2017 17:21:49
Goodman hates us. Used to play for Collingham Football Club in North East Counties League. Picked up by Bradford when Leeds decided they did not want him. Sour grapes me thinks.

3.) 01 Mar 2017 19:17:30
Nobody likes us, everybody hates us, I think we're going to eat worms.

Hardy, why are you here? obviously not a Leeds fan and from your opinions I would suggest you are trying to bait the fans who use this site, guess what we have seen, heard and read it all before, out of everything you have posted the only one that may hold water is possibly Wood to the dog botherers, that's up to who ever we get as the new manager/coach, Monk whilst offering stability lost his way and was too predictable, as for being as you put it SKINT what's new we're used to it. Marching on

I think if we are looking for consistency and using the Spanish connection then Pep must be in with a good shout, worth a punt imo

Where will Charlie be if there is no interest? (unlikely I know) Refusing to play would make him look silly then wouldn't it, Champions League or Non League?

the cut off/ reset date was the second sunday in March so unless he is on 14 bookings and I think he is currently on 12 he should (fingers crossed) be OK til end of season

And where is this information coming from one I repeat one national red top, known for not liking LUFC, and how pray tell do we know the team a whole 5 hours before the game Woody travelled with the squad unless of course they were dropping him off at Burnley en route to Sunderland. That said if we are getting £15 mill I for one would hope we have a quality replacement lined up and given the pecking order at Watford i know who I would bid for, proven in the league and quality finisher. The door to ER is open Mr Deeney

Re Charlie Taylor! if he is that great what happened to all the so called bigger clubs interest in January, before you all scream he was injured, that didn't stop West Ham with Byram, (and where is he now? ) so I have to ask the question is CT attracting all this "bigger club" attention or is it press speculation? yes he is a good young player and will only improve as he gets older, though that's not always guaranteed, but and heres the rub in all this.

let's all be honest there is not one of you on here that would not change your employer to double/ treble your wage for doing exactly what you are doing now, so he leaves

the club will still move onwards and upwards. Football to a fan is about tribalism/ belonging, to a professional footballer its about making as much money as they can in the shortest possible time, its about making a living not playing football, money not loyalty, and we the fans in this day and age sadly need to accept this.
