The rumour mill turning now about certain QSI investment being done in next 48 hours but no official announcement till January .
Should be good to see how it will play out as all we have been told is FFP stops squad strengthening.

Chris have you a decent source for this, rather than just journos rehashing headlines from other sites.

Think Radz has a dilema on his hands gere. As i said when this rumour surfaced the Qataris will not invest without a clause to buy majority shares. So its not about the 11% he is willing to sell now but about the clubs future value. If we miss out on promotion again i think some major investment will be needed to get a couple more quality players in. Radz and Aser will not want to do that. Would Bubs sign another contract extension without it, not so sure. We would lose players as well who would have to be replaced. However if we do go up it would add 30mill to asking price so is it a gamble worth taking for Radz knowing that he does not have the funds to compete at the top of the PL. I think a deal will be done and Qataris will be major shareholders next summer depending on how many shares Radz wants to hold onto as i can not see him selling all if there is a chance we will be in PL.

Will give you that one George you did put a january deadline on it but you are not right yet. You also told us Kent was joining us but that did not happen either.

Bielsabud Yes, got that one wrong. Ed001 had superior insight as it was all to do with his Scottish girlfriend.
Our attention will soon be drawn to the January window. Very crucial not just for sound recruitment (only 2 players are needed) but also for player retention thinking about White and Nketiah.

Agree i usually look forward to the Jan speculation but dreading the chance we may lose White and Eddie as think we will find White hard to replace. Wish we could take the chance and buy him in Jan, pay later lol.

On the possible sale of the club to QSI, bearing in mind to take most of these stories with a pinch of salt. Saying that the story is not going away and at the end of the most recent article from L@Equipe the most telling line for me was.

"L'Equipe reached out to Radrizzani for an update, but they were told the Italian would not be able to comment on the ongoing discussions. "

If this is the case and while a sale might never happen, stating that Radrizzani would not be able to comment makes me think negotiations are currently taking place and he is bound by a confidentiality agreement, which is normal in these circumstances.

Or he is just busy doing other things and a Journo wants to make a story out of nothing.

On the ongoing negotiations, the entourage added: "There are real discussions, but it's a slow-moving file. But it can go faster tomorrow. "
L'Equipe are of the belief Leeds are estimated to cost QSI around €60-80m and responding to it, QSI source stated: "That's not wrong. "

If the deal to take over Leeds materialises, it will give QSI a potential future headache as UEFA rules don't allow two clubs involved in a European competition to be owned by a single entity.

"The right people will ask themselves the right questions to know how to do it, but we are very far from it, " the entourage said.

Meanwhile, L'Equipe reached out to Radrizzani for an update, but they were told the Italian would not be able to comment on the ongoing discussions.

I imagine that if QSI are looking to purchase Leeds United Football Club for approx £75m then they must be taking on all the incumbent debt too. By which I mean the remaining payments on all the recent outgoing transfer fees etc.
To my mind the low-ish transfer fees that have come in (Viera, Taylor etc) , in recent times, seem to hint at most of the money has been paid up front and there will be little if any further payments coming in. Nothing for QSI to offset against those that need paying in the future.

Also, at that price, i hope they are buying Elland Road, which isn't actually owned by LUFC.

Otherwise that is a lot of money for a EFL team that only manages to break even despite the largest share of TV revenue and a global fanbase.

I doubt we got transfer fees up front. Didn’t usually work that way these days.

The QSI takeover link seems to be popping it's head up again. The thing is whenever it happens no-one seems to deny it.
Come on QSI, 'SHOW ME THE MONEY! '

Still think we are the best team in this league but not once have we picked our best team. The Eddie or Bamford argument is for me a non discussion point. Even yesterday Eddie held the ball up better looked more of a goal threat. When drifting wide looked more dangerous than our wingers and also found time to hook ball away from near our own goal. Whether he's better off in a two we don't know because it's never been tried nor has bam as an impact sub. Either way for me Eddie must start. MOT.

You serious?
We controlled the game with Bamford on and dominated but struggled in 2nd half.
May or may not be related but this seems to be a trend.

But we ain't going to score the goals with Bamford as a lone striker. How many great chances has he wasted. Goals win games not how much possession you have during the game.

Canada no I don't think the 2 were related yesterday. Feel it was more down to Wednesdays grip over our midfield second half. Not anti Bamford just feel eddie would score more which is what I want from a striker.

Yes but it's happened 3 or more times now. I'm less likely to believe that the more it happens.
We may find out soon though if Eddie ever gets a start!

Point is it is no good being in control if you do not score. Rather it be fifty fifty and we win than have 70% AND GET BEAT.

Bielsabud is right.
Andy, more accurately, our 1 to 8 is the best in the league. Counts for sheet.

Not sure we ate the best team in the league just yet. It’s very open. There’s no stand out team

We are currently the best defensively

That’s a team thing, not down to individuals but the inclusion of Ben white has made us better against counter attacks. Kiko is much improved

The next issue is converting chances we make

An area to be looked at in January

Think of it as a jigsaw, finished piece by piece

Keep the faith.

seen the best of bamford but more to come from eddie . i know who will get better so time to switch . i think he plays safe in what he knows hence same team week in week out.

I actually think Bielsa knows that it takes a certain amount of time to get used to his system and his demands and therefore whenever there are new players it takes time before he really starts to use them in the team. This would make sense with him starting the season with pretty much the same team that finished last season (who understood the requirement) and now we are seeing new players gradually being introduced and becoming more prominent (Costa is now starting to get more game time etc. )

I think Costa is getting time due to Hernandez being out. Will be interesting to see who gets dropped once Pablo is fit again.

I’m of the belief that our stagnation in goals is not the cause of our strikers but of their supply, stats are starting to show that Bamford and Nketiah on his brief play have not touched/ received the ball enough. Costa is not in his element yet and Harrison does have a tendency to blow hot and cold.
Big dilemma for Bielsa?, I don’t think so, but I hope he finds a solution soon. Missing Pablo.

Totally agree. Too many 50:50 chances, not enough clear cut ones.

was the same last season - the stats don't tell the whole story. 20 half chances a game are not as good as 2 clear cut ones. Bamford still hopeless, however.
