I cannot see the downside and only hope that moves are taking place behind the scenes but please go get Riqui Puig 21 years, twinkling feet, only on 25k (Rodrigo on 125k) and the clincher - on a free this summer! He is exactly what we need to unlock bus parkers. Has a good engine and a consistently high pass completion rate. The only down sides I can see is that he does not win many aerial duels (should fit in well I hear you say) and is not known greatly for tracking back. Maybe MB can work on that.
No fee, acceptable salary, it's a no brainer.

15th to 17th most realistic ambition but we will have to play better and hope a miracle happens with the pitch. When you rely on a system of play with average players you get found out at the top level. Casilla, Struijk, Rodrigo and Bamford the spine. Not good enough. Roberts, Hernandez and Lovers off the bench. Not good enough. Raphinia on wrong wing. Dallas and Alioski not good at this level. Bielsa showing his age? We were good to start with but we could always concede and we only looked certain to get three points when we were three goals up.

Well maybe if you two would have lent him your crystal balls eh, many young lads show potential early then fade off ( jack clarke) one example. The point is if he had passed up on these players and they had come good you would be on his case saying why didn’t you sign him when you had the chance. Rock and a hard place me thinks.

I'm fairly sure given Orta's wage, resources and time (i. e that is his job) I couldn't do much worse.

Think about the disasters with Casilla, JKA and Costa to name but 3. Millions spent and wasted in fees and wages.

If you compare our success and spend with other teams on less resources such as Brentford, Peterborough and Southampton we are really found wanting.
