Apparentky we have made a move for Torino’s Nicolas Nkoulou who is out of contract at the end of this year. Central defender who can also play DM and has worked with Bielsa before. Tge stumbling block could be the fact he would like Champs League footie ans Man U are also interested.

We need 3-5 players in the summer (dependant on players out, etc. ) . Don't think we will throw £55m at 1 player (especially a relatively unproven 18yr old) unless we have a much bigger war chest than i think we will have.
Also if we do a lot of players I'd rather have to come in and make us better for that money.

29 year old right sided Lucas Vazquez. His pedigree is solid but I have to ask where does he play? RB Ayling/ Drameh. RW Raph/ Poveda/ Sumerville. Someone would have to be greatly disappointed. Oh hang on he's on a free!

Good player and tracks back really well but let's be honest he only comes in if Raphinha leaves. Rather have Rapha.
Also he is on £115k a week, we could get 2 prem level players for that a week.

i read somewhere he is on 50K a week, not sure how much i trust the source admittedly. His age for me isn't such a problem. He strikes me as someone who maybe his pace has or will go a little but will bust a gut and has experience playing for big teams in a high-pressure environment. Not like the last guy we signed from Madrid who basically sat on their bench for ages, this guy actually plays and if he gets a solid 3-4 yr deal to take him to 33 yrs good stuff. Free agent too means i'm not so annoyed about signing him with decreasing sell-on value based on age.

would also say, Poveda looks promising yet still needs to take a big step to be truly useful. Drameh and Summerville have earned the chance to have a go in the first team I hope before the end of the season but have proved nothing yet i sincerely hope they do in some (hopefully) dead rubbers.

Best guest Ed- easier to get a work permit in Italy so buy youngsters, send them to Italy for 3.5 years to get a passport. Would then be easier to get a work permit as they are a top 10 country. More likely to get international call ups too if playing full time in Italy rather than sitting in our youth.
Only really helps for players from smaller countries though.

Yes but a club would have to agree a continuous loan, I think, not 100% on Italian Wp but I know that's the case for some countries. In that scenario it could be a transfer followed by a transfer to Leeds if they develop well enough, wouldn't take up loan spots.
