Orta overloading is with ‘promising’ youth in the hope one of them comes good. In the meantime we spend resources developing them and contributing to our huge overheads. Orta really needs to go.

Problem is Alf we are not even giving them time to develop even when they look like they have potential, ie. Diaz, Rey, Dalby, Halme, Wilks.

Sadly it’s a scattergun approach and it’s just not possible to predict how kids develop. I’ve seen a lad at 6 I knew should get taken on at a pro club ( now at liverpool) and other lads that had the ability but faded away

Players develop at different rates.
