Leo Following on from your retort about not punishing the clubs but the owners only, I vehemently disagree. It wasn't Henry and Glazer joining the ESL, it was Liverpool and Manchester United. A football club is typically a limited company with independent legal status from its owners. If the football club limited company wants to take some form of disciplinary action against one of its shareholders for foolish and negligent behaviour they can certainly try but they're the correct entity to be punished by the authorities. Membership unto the authority belongs to the club itself, not any fat cat American.
Hear what you say about suffering fans but that's the nature of being a fan. It's short for fanatic. Not the most pleasant description but that's what we are. When Woolies went under, Companies House didn't step in and say that can't happen because their customers are such lovely people. There must be consequences, just as there were with LUFC 17 years ago. No-one stopped to say but the Leeds fans don't deserve this so let's just go after Pete Rid. I said from get go I didn't mind these clubs doing this on the condition that they were punished appropriately. -30 points, a £20m fine each to be disbursed among lower league clubs and an incoming transfer embargo for 2 windows all I ask for. #punishtheclub.

Totally in agreement, well said George, the irony of them NOT taking any action against the sick six should not be lost on anyone.
