I can't be the only one who doesn't want this takeover to happen surely? I couldn't think of anything worse than us becoming a soulless rich man's plaything full of mercenaries and plastic fans. That's before getting into the moral side of the bargain as well. How would our link ups with Pride etc still stand with Qatari owners?

If you were worried about "the moral side of the bargain" I would have some sympathy with you, but your assertion that Leeds would become "full of mercenaries" I don't understand. ALL clubs are full of mercenaries, that is what the transfer system is all about.

There are not many players, if any these days, that show one club loyalty. Lots are good at kissing their current clubs badge, but a few weeks later, after a very lucrative transfer they will be doing exactly the same with their new club.

All players moving up, be it a division, to a higher profile club, to a richer club are mercenaries. There is no way you can achieve success without them. That is what football is all about.

As for "plastic fans". At Leeds? Don't think so. Can't see us becoming the "prawn sandwich" brigade. Think we will always be burger, hot dogs and pie fans. 🍔🌭🥧 😁🤣😁

MOT💙💛.

can see point but don't agree

yes it would bring plastic fans and tourists but still the core leeds fan won't die or go away. look at city they still got their proper fans and are still a proper club, just a very rich sucuessfl good one to wacth.

I think it would be no less than the proper leeds fans deserve becoming the next many cit.

We are, always have been, always will be a traditional working class football club. That's why people don't like us, it's grim up north tha knows.

SG, I think you are the only one who doesn’t want this take over to happen. I would gladly let someone spend money at my club, hope that doesn’t make me a mercenary.

I would certainly welcome the stability and the opportunity it would bring, such as players we may not otherwise be able to afford or would attract for loan, and before anyone bangs the FFP drum, there are certain ways to bring in players and still show a profit or not a loss that breaks the rules.

Bring it on, as I truly believe we won’t be in any better position than this season if the status quo remains, I don’t think Radz has the resources at the moment.
