Wex I have my theory on what's going on truthfully.

Care to enlighten us George.

No in usual style George will keep his so called ‘theories’ to himself and then when we find out will claim he knew all along.

Wex Here's my take. Radz has by all accounts issued new shares to the Qataris late May ie after playoffs failure so I believe they already have a minor stake in the club. Bit of dilution but won't matter to shareholders once we reach the PL. Radz, in my opinion, made it clear to Qataris he wasn't selling his share so they'd have to be content with what he was providing in exchange for some funds of course probably to be used in the transfer window. The thing is the Qataris aren't taking no for an answer and have been pressuring Radz, almost "double-crossing" him is what I see. Equally, Radz has remained steadfast. So what do the Qataris do? They break the story and use their media connections. Radz then counters pouring cold water over the takeover with his own connections but in the local and regional press. In my opinion both stories are true (Qataris want Leeds but Radz ain't selling) but the real truth lies somewhere in the middle. To answer your question Wex, I see a takeover but a delayed one. Radz will hang fast for awhile but eventually will pass on the keys to the wealthier option. There'll be many commercial and tactical considerations to go into the deal and price payable such as recruitment success, league position, FFP but ultimately I see it happening just in 2020. I think we can safely say this will be Radz' final season as Chairman, whatever happens. He just doesn't have the pedigree football knowledge or the money to do a great job and propel us back to the big time. However, in a way that is his strength because he realized that and appointed Bielsa to peform wonders. Now he's staying it's no wonder Radz is being strongarmed into selling but my guess is the takeover talk will die down over the summer and then reignite in January.

I reckon if the Qataris are determined they will get it. If they are prepared to spend 200m on a player, spending (let's just for example's sake) £80m on the Leeds brand, which has more longevity than a single player, Radz will sell. He payed £50m ish not that long ago, so making £20m+ is likely to be too good for a businessman to walk away from.

My take is they are negotiating on the difference between the current value of the club about £100 million and the value as a premier league club say £250million. How much and how long it would take Rads to get there against the profit he would make. Rads is trying to quantify and negotiate on the potential and is he looking for premier league money for a championship club.

Tory I think Radz is also looking for recognition, not just a profit.

George's take on it would explain where the £11m came from a couple a weeks ago.

Apparently they would have put in more than £11m, but that's all they could find down the back of the settee! 😂😂.

Really interesting stuff! I know nothing! I don’t think it’s just about money, I really think Radz wants to lead the club to the Premiership, even if it involves more funding from others. However money talks and sometimes even though you might not want to sell your house yet, if the offer is crazy enough. I’d go with Georgie, but at least one year more, developing links and funding through the year and see where we are as we head into 2020!

Interesting perspectives all round. Negotiation is a game to be played, with the end intention of satisfaction for both parties. This one has a long way to go, but I hope that QSI don’t walk away from the table. Think Leeds 70 has picked up the key point, in that Radz knows what we are potentially worth, and wants that be be reflected in the sale price. Also think George is correct, and this will drag on.

If radz wants us in the Premier league he should sell.

Will he take the money or open the box? The problem is that he obviously thinks he can do it! Might have something to do with almost doing it this year!

Blowing it this year. More like.

I think you can say both Wex, but you can’t blow it unless you are in with a chance of winning it and we were! That’s why there is the feeling that one more push will do it! We will see!
