Very strong speculation in the Spanish press that the deal to take Carlos to Leonesa is almost done. Meetings took place this weekend and seems that both parties are keen on the move. Perhaps tempts taking place this week to keep him at Leeds.

This would be a real shame for me, he has been really important over the last two seasons. Having him around Bielsa seems a very sensible move.

Danny Schofield would step into The under 23 role with more responsibility but we would miss Carlos's presence and link to the first team. Might be able to tempt a few of the under 23 players to be part of his Leonesa project.

Agree Spanish. I hope he stays and continues to learn from Bielsa. Why leave a top English club for a poor Spanish club. He needs to wait, be patient, and then he can move up.

Reading the reports on this it seems that Ivan Bravo is the guy pushing for Corberan's appointment at Cultural. What exactly is the benefit of having him on the Board at Leeds. With his links to Aspire isn't he the one who should have alerted Less to Emiliano Buendia rather than let him go to Norwich to help fire them to the Championship title. Not sure we are getting any benefit at all from this Aspire tie-up - which was flagged as being potentially highly beneficial. Anyone else think it might be time to call it a day.

I thought this Spanish side sounded familiar, so I had to goggle them and it's the team we have a partnership with. Perhaps we are loaning him out!

Bravo has now been involved with the takeover of a mid table second division club called Alcorcon. They have assured Leonesa that they will still receive financial support. Carlos to leonesa might be part of that. Having a good and friendly coach at Leonesa will help their Spanish plans.

If he’s allowed to go it can be just added to my personal list of Rads mistakes . A list incidentally which isn’t that short .

If the intention is to move Corberan to Leonesa as a pawn within Aspire's expansion plans, all the more reason for Leeds to cut the ties with this blood-sucking leach of an organisation. Since when has the need of our club been secondary to those of some tin-pot self-aggrandising power-freaks. Definitely time to tell Ivan Bravo to do one - we should not allow anyone on our Board who is willing to damage our club to further the success of their other footballing interests.

It could work out for us in two ways:

one - CC gets valuable management experience a level above the U23s and gets closer to managing LUFC perhaps after next season
two - we could loan players to CL to give them experience above U23 if they aren't quite ready for our first team yet, with clauses to get them back if we need them.

However, this is probably not within the rules so we would get fined or it would go spectacularly wrong like everything else that this tie in has produced so far.
