How do we get 11m for McCormack nearly five years ago and 15m for Wood two years ago.

Yet now, in a World where Maguire is worth 80m we are only getting 8.5m for the most exciting 18 year old English talent in the top two leagues.

Our negotiating is very poor indeed.

Sherby Our negotiations skills always poor except for Cellino. On this occasion more like Levy's skills and resources superior. Also believe Clarke's collapse is being used to lower the valuation. Should have been at least 11m up front with add-ons and sell on.

Both Wood and McCormack were on the back of very good seasons in the Championship where they were top scorers and performed week in week out. Clarke is a relatively unproven player at any level who scored 2 and assisted 2 all season and showed promise. Apples and pears.
