I'd take £25m for KP all day long.

Don't get me wrong he's decent, but not a patch on Lewis Cook, and what did we get for him?
£25m for KP is not peanuts! 😂😂.

Yeah, but how much of that needs to be spent to get a replacement in? Furthermore, it's Villa that want him 🙄🙄🙄 get closer to £40M as it's that miserable eejit that wants him 😂🤣😂.

I've said it before but we already have a replacement if needed for KP so it would cost nothing and we could spend the 25 million elsewhere!
Shackleton is IMO much better equipped for that role.

Croatian U-21 international captain Ivan Sunjic has been earmarked for transfer to Leeds. He's a holding midfielder. Would cost around £4m. Birmingham City also interested. £25m too much money to turn down. Would be our 2nd highest sale ever.

George I'd seen this link too, don't know a great deal about him though. Also seen thiago mendes, a player bielsa developed massively into this same role at lille, valued at around 12 million though so very expensive.

I'd probably take the 25m, with the proviso that Bielsa is content to let him go at that price. No point taking the money to strengthen the side if we consequently loose Bielsa.

I'd also insist on a clause giving us first refusal if they decide to sell, letting him know that we would be in for him when promoted. Given it's Villa and that miserabilist Deano, perhaps on the qt we could suggest he do a professional job for them but maybe not pull up any trees - don't want them any higher than mid-table, and the lower the better. Maybe he could make the occasional error against teams at the lower end of the table, to keep it interesting, and ensure he was affordable when we came calling.

If we were to accept the 25m, perhaps he could be encouraged to get into a training altercation with Hourihane and Grealish towards the end of the season and plant one on each of them for his mate Klich. Might also make it easier for us to buy him back. If Grealish has been sold, KP could surreptitiously wind him up each time Villa played against him, so he would lose his cool and get sent off.

Can not agree more I know over the top in my dislike of kp but few could argue he is better than Delph, viera and cook who all played for England reason kp ain’t. 25 million is great price and for me kp ain’t fit to lace shack boots. Sell and bring in on tough tackling no nonsense ball winner andlwt shacks be the engine room and Klich be the class then with Costa Clarke on wings with roof up front Jansson and white alin and a stronger Douglas that ain’t a bad team with money to spend as well.

Canada Shackleton is not right for the KP role . Has not played there before and too light weight . Better further forward where Klich plays or on flanks . If we could sell KP for £25 m ( think it would be less ) and actually spend all the money ( I doubt it ) on a decent replacement and competition up top for Roofe and Bamford then I could bear Kal’s loss . My other concern is where are our “ leaders “ on the pitch . All promotion teams have “ leaders “ and I’m not sure we really have any . Pablo very quiet . LC too damn nice . There’s Pontus but he’s too much of an individual and it looks like he could be off too!

Sunjic would be an excellent buy but IMO not as good as KP. Shacks would be wasted as a DM and the only lad who looked capable, Diaz, of stepping up into that role has gone. Would rather keep KP and get Sunjic as well. 25mill is a lot of money though and everyone has his price. Its spending the money wisely that matters. If we are looking to strengthen for a promotion push then we should be keeping KP and adding cover for him not replacing him.

Shacks definitely not for the KP role. Too slightly built at the moment imo. We would definitely need to buy a replacement.

I agree shacks not right for kp role we need a jones type but Bielsa don’t like them, let’s remember kp ain’t right for the kp role he can’t tackle gets booked easy to bypass is targeted by teams as weak point and offers no defensive cover but mb still plays him their.
