How big are Anderlecht? Are they bigger than us? Is it an upward move for him?

They qualify for CL every year and usually win the league, pretty much the ajax of belgium and roofe is expected to be their main man now. Kompany is player manager, made some very shrewd signings this summer, obviously going for a CL push and roofe couldn't turn that + 30k a week down, 4 year deal which will take him to 30 y/ o, meaning he can express his ability at his peak on a cl stage, maybe get a move elsewhere in a few years for one last pay day. makes good sense from his point of view and you can't really argue, wed all do the same i suppose.

It’s an odd move imo. The Belgian league is a poor standard and if Anderlecht get in the Champs league they will be no more than cannon fodder. A season trying to get a second rate team into Europe over a season trying to get Leeds into the Prem? Very odd choice and smacks to me of someone who knows they are not really good enough to play at a higher level, or doesn’t trust their body with the rigors of champ footie and wants to cash in while they can.

Wish we were a common fodder,
