Nauseating scandalously poor transfer window! Replacing Pontus and Roofe with two unproven kids on loan is a huge gamble on our promotion prospects when we were in such a great position to nail down top two with the squad that might have been . Anyone who can't see Radz for what he is now needs to give themselves a shake! I like the look of both kids btw and White played well against Brizzle but it doesn't alter the risks involved over 46 hard and physical Champ games . Proven performers should have been brought in with these kids icing on the cake not key players!

What does 'proven' prove.
Not really any of the current Leeds team would be classed as proven before Bielsa got hold of them apart from Hernandez.
I recall a few like Barnes, Brolin and Sharpe among others being 'proven' players. Not everyone who fits one team or style will work out.
Anyone remember a certain scum reject call Giles?

Agree Canada - provens we have had recent seasons Billy Sharp, Steve Morison Mo Barrow to name but a few none of them did it in our shirt.

RHC coool down and watch us go.

Well said Canada, RHC, there are risks in every transfer proven or not, whatever those terms mean! Not sure I would describe either White or Eddie as unproven, they are involved in premiership clubs. I think it’s been a pretty shrewd window, cleared the decks and one way or another we have some very exciting players, Costa, Clarke, Eddie, Harrison and White, all players with something to prove. Of course it’s a gamble but wouldn’t surprise me at all if it comes off. I would have liked Kent and a CB but it’s good news for Struick who will get more opportunity if someone else hasn’t come in. This window has to get us to new year in contention for automatic if we do that, it will have been a great window! Don’t write us off yet!

RHC I tend to agree with you overall although I find your view a touch harsh. The window was difficult as Radz foresaw and he's certainly a slick businessman too slick for our liking but, in my humble opinion, the moves he's made in the transfer market ought to be sufficient to get us into the top 2 by the end of the year. Hopefully, he'll then cement our position by strengthening again especially at the back. Don't know what we were doing with Kent basically letting him know he was a contingency and the Inter deals sounds like we screwed that up too. Radz has gone down in my estimation. However, with a superior squad and it is, a superior first team and it is, better luck with injuries and Bielsa's added experience in this league and compared to what I see as slightly weaker opposition this season I believe we have enough to mount a credible automatic promotion challenge and we will do it in our centenary year. George over and out.

Not sure you can complain about unproven players in the Championship. The only “proven” players a championship side can sign are either Premier League rejects (who are rejected for some reason) or Championship journeymen (who aren’t good enough to get a move to the PL, or did and are back) .

Last season Tammy Abraham was unproven at Championship level (you could argue a flop at Swansea) , but there was a lot of criticism of us for not having the ambition to loan him (or similar players) . With Eddie we’ve loaned a young striker at a top PL club with a good England youth record, who was playing a lot of Arsenal’s pre-season and is not far from their first team thoughts. He might flop, but I’d put a lot of money that he won’t.
