Wex to answer your question below
"what happens when Bielsa goes"

Hopefully we go up and he stays on for another season or two.

If we don't my thoughts are we should keep the template, he and Orta have put in place and bring a coach in to continue the job and build on the foundations we have in place.

Seeing how we played last season and started this we are not that far away. We might only need a couple of tweaks in the next two windows

My only concern is we might just be playing a very pure form of Bielsaball when for this league a watered down version with a couple of more championship type players in the mix would be better. Like the old Arsenal under George Graham and the transition to Arsene Wenger?

1970 great post I agree when you look at wolves who stormed this league playing great football they also had players like Danny batth who is a bit more a champ type player. I think the next manager should also favour youth a bit more as o think Mb could of used our youth like shacks more.

Bermo yes our young players have all the gifts but there is a learning curve for all young players, an education process and you do not want to set them back in their progress by over playing or burning them out.

Two or three examples in Fernando Torres and Michael Owen and even Harry Kane now. Overplayed, pick up knocks and injuries and second half of their careers they are never as good as when they come onto the scene.

Don't know the full story but look at Clarke only getting back to where he was six months ago after having a rest

Different game I know and far more physical but the All Blacks only allow their players to play about 25 top games a season. Irish rugby team also has a games quota so players do not suffer burn. England rugby team that won the world cup also had a number of players like Jonny wilkinson who struggled to reach those heights again.
Young players need to be nurtured and brought through without destroying their careers.

Chances are he will go and he hasn't produced a second season to match his first.

If Biesla had put lots of youngsters in the team, you would have slated him and said he should have played older championship sloggers! He has in fact integrated a whole host of young players within the squad and will use them as and when they are ready!

We’re only 2 games into the league season. Let’s judge how much game time the youth are getting around Christmas eh?
