On a different thread.
Local football is introducing a sin bin for this season.
On a trial basis maybe with a view to it coming in across the whole football pyramid (? )
Once any glitches are ironed out!
Any less than 7 players on the pitch from any side and the game cannot continue?
Could be interesting!

i'm old school and don't like it. too american for me to be in proper game like it for young lads though teach them respect and disicpline. that said i'd of spent more time in the sin bin than on the pitch.

Do not think we need more rules just train the refs better so they can enforce the ones we have now.

It works well in Ice Hockey. But there down 1 man out of 5 (exl keeper) is a big disadvantage.

They do it in rugby as well. Some of those yellow cards that players collect to break up play would probably stop which would be a good thing. Never liked that dirty tactic but if a man was going to go off for 15 mins they would probably think twice about it.

As above omg any less than 7 and the game wouldn’t continue.

You don’t like goals?

I think it would ruin the game as it would just make teams defend for 10-15 minutes making games less open. It might work well in high scoring games like hockey but when one goal can win a game I think it would ruin the spectical as sometimes red cards can. Teams will just time waste and rubbish up shop for a short period.

Hate the idea! Putting it into practice would be virtually impossible, and make the refs job even more complicated, and would probably require VAR for every single act of foul play.
