I’m quite keen on any Cup runs, especially early season! Good to give youngsters experience, keep some fringe players happy and added interest for the fans! I know it’s a long season in the championship, but hopefully barring any unnecessary injuries it’s a chance for some players to increase fitness and form! I personally think keep the spine of the team intact, if possible, and change players around them! Also a cup run means winning matches and increased confidence!

I think this year Bielsa will see the cup as an opportunity to keep players match fit and try out fringe players or different ideas. Progress useful in that it keeps that opportunity open for longer.
