Couple of interesting snippets . Eddie called up for England 21's . I said the other day he will play for the full team within a year or two . On a more sour note Michael Bridges quoted as saying Coops told him he felt all the players were burnt out by Xmas last season due to Bielsa ball . Here's hoping we don't do a Devon Lock this year!

Eddie is qaulity I can't believe costa didn't also get a england call up.

I believe a lot of players have said to a lot of sources that they suffered from burn out and our results and fall from grace would support that. many say you can't question the manager but we can, many said last year our squad was too small for such a brutal league. MB way is great and gets the best out of players but the filp side is burn out. I believe it has happened to other teams he has managed

My main criticim of Mb has been for all his good his stubborness costs us last year and i am not sure he will ever learn or change his ways sadly. if we go up it will have a slice of luck that our two cb must stay fit. if white gets injured we are bang in trouble

still back to positives eddie in under 21's is great the lad is class.

The boys look much fresher this year though, and we're not going at 100mph all game anymore. Bielsa has clearly learnt his lessons at least partly.

My question is, why are the players telling this to Michael Bridges of all people? It smells of nonsense. Especially because all the players seem to suggest that Bielsa burnout isn't real, it's more just lack of clinical finishing.

MBTN think it has come from a few sources not just bridges, pretty sure it came from someone during the documentary that i can't bring myself to watch. I don't see why they shoudln't mention it they are only talking about a season retrospectivly and probably learning from it moving forward

and Danum the reason costa didn't get an england call up is because they are biased against leeds players. its the same reason Yebhoa didn't get an england call up

in all seriousness Lukic should of he won the league for two different teams (only keeper to do so) how he didn't get a lot of cpas between 89-93 is beyound me. far better than shilton who was 112, chirs wood who was usless and ian walker. yes even ian walker got england caps. lukic should of got more england call ups and a knight hood.

Mmmm Michael Bridges, I think the quote was players told him, “ they had run out of energy after Christmas”! Not really sure what that means, we thrashed West Brom after Christmas and we didn’t look dead on our feet then. We won more games after Christmas as well and we didn’t look exhausted in the first game against Derby or when we were 2-0 up!

Possibly with Bielsa, teams have more time to understand how the team plays and what tactics work best against them. This coupled with the fact that his approach gets better performances out of more average players that are always still prone to errors.

Did Kiko run into Cooper because they were both knackered? Did Beradi get sent off because he was so drained from missing so many games? Handling of pressure both in individual moments of games and generally as the key moments of the season arrived seem to be common themes to me!
