Berardi hoping to re-sign for us after his recovery is complete. In a recent interview he is quoted as saying:
“I go walking a lot but it’s going well, even if it will be a long recovery. At the end of September I should go back to England to define everything and still stay at Leeds.

“We deserved the promotion and we hope to stay up in the Premier League too. I think the team is well equipped and we will have the opportunity to show our qualities. ”.

I'm not sure Leeds have agreed to anything yet. This was all Berardi talking.

Think he’s highly thought of

If he can get fit, there’s a place for him

Before anyone jumps on me, MB knows best so if Berra proves he can do it, he’ll do it.

He’d be invaluable about the place anyway playing a few u23 games

Showing what it takes to wear that shirt.

We need to look after Berra. If we don’t give him a contract, so be it. But give the guy the help he deserves. He will always be part of this promotion team!

No brainer, not on a big wage, knows the system, doesn't mind being back up and has been mentioned as a father figure by multiple players. Backup player/ youth coach would make sense.

If Berra hadn't got injured I am. not sure Leeds would have renewed but they kind of feel duty bound now to look after him. and to be very fair he deserves to be.
