Like everyone I was gutted with yesterday's performance, you could tell early doors what sort of game we were in for. However a bit of perspective is needed.

Liverpool, reigning champions and recently euro champs have had a few injuries this season, not too dissimilar to us and their levels have dropped significantly.

Leeds Utd newly promoted with a much thinner squad would have felt these injuries much harder, but I still think we've outweighed most expectations pre season and put in some sterling performances along the way.

Just think how good we could have been if a bit luckier with injuries and how good we might be next year with some further strengthening and a little more luck on the injury front.

{Ed047's Note - I’m not sure why some have been so harsh on your manager and team.

This season of any is a nightmare, especially when you have a smaller squad.

I’ve even seen on here thoughts of Leeds getting relegated! Really?

Don’t see that even remotely happening. I would say you’re a club on the up and with a great manager.

ed 47 I can't speak for others but the reason I personally am on belisa is his stupidity and stubborness

yes he is a great coach, he has a great style, he has got us playing amazing stuff and getting some great results

however his stubbornness on small squad, his refusals to add height, his inability to fix our set play woes (in both boxes) , his insistence on making our keeper play like a quaterback, his inability to beat poor teams who sit back, and some of his line ups (with everyone playing in the wrong position) has cost us points and is a three year long problem which has not improved in any way

he can do the hard stuff really well but the easy stuff seems to allude him which makes us great to watch but often very frustrating. he many ways he is one of the best but in many other ways he is weaker than the average fan in the stands.

{Ed047's Note - I can understand your frustrations to a degree mate and using a smaller squad, particularly this season, is a little crazy but it’s his way.

In relation to the other matters, is that more to do with the quality of your squad.

How do you think he’d do with the Liverpool or City squads, I’d hazard a guess he may be right up the top somewhere.

I’m not disparaging your squad by the way, but I think you’ll be aware yourself where they’ve come from and that I think makes the job Bielsa is doing even more encouraging rather than discouraging.

You're 100% right Ed - pound for pound we are the best performers in the league this season imo. Why a lot of the fan base cannot see this is beyond my capability to understand.

Barring Rapha. A championship team has been smashing it up in the PL. fearing no one, going at everyone. Playing some fantastic football. 90% of our summer investment have yet to appear together in the same team. I’m more than happy, in fact I love it. We are one of the most entertaining teams in this division, with the most humble manager. HAPPY DAYS.
