If KP is not fit for Wolves game for sure it’ll be the same squad selection. Phillips is the main supplier to the front men and is always very positive with his precision passes. The problem with Struijk I don’t think he’s so confident in making that forward supply, the ball tends to go backwards to often.
If feel the game against Wolves is there for the taking but we must play like we did in the second half against Arsenal if KP is not fit.
The the players showed more individual responsibility in the second half and it made us a much stronger unit in going forward as opposed the poor first half showing.
Im not having a go at Struijk by pointing this out, as I do find him a good CB with a lot of potential.

worth noting in the second Hal we played really well. because alying went to right back. his defensive qaulities matched with him bombing forward is a huge plus

kp will be missed against wolves however belisa don't have to make it even harder by playing Bamford at left back and Cooper at CF

in the second half we showed although missed we can create and play well without KP we just need belisa to not go mental with his team selection. no one comes back from a 4-0 head start.

I actually think Struijk has a habit of going too far forward.
Our system means the 2 full backs are often in the opposition third of the field.
Struijk joins the attack too much leaving too large a hole.
It only takes 10ft out of position to make a huge difference.
Its KPs positioning that Bielsa has improved so much.

can not disagree more, as you all know I think KP is the best with the ball at his feet, world class passing and world class vision but his positioning matched with his chronic lack of pace is our main defensive problem.

when we concede pause the screen and say where is Phillips 9 times out of 10 he is in the wrong position. I am growing on the lad and think he has improved he is a great asset moving forward but an awful liability at the back

I urge you all to do this go on youtube or sky and pause the screen as the ball hits the back of the net. The most obvious examples were the Man Utd game where he was at fault for the goals and then against Fulham where he was mugged in such an obvios way for both goals

we do miss KP but he is not the god and answer to all our prayers defensively and we can score with out him.

I kind of agree with you Bermo but the stats tell a different story -without KP we lose the majority of the time, with the Villa game being the only exception. He may be at fault for some goals, but how many wold we concede without him? He can't be out of position for every single attack can he?

KP is 14th in the league of midfielders (160+ players) for making interceptions, 14th in the same league for making tackles, 25th for number of passes, 25th for key passes, 11th for clearances and 8th for blocks.

Those say to me that he is a pretty impressive player defensively and without him I think we concede more in like for like games than with him in the team.

Those stats say it all Alf, I agree with Berm on some things he says but he has always been just plain wrong on KP.

If Bielsa plays the same starting 11 in those same starting positions he is a fool.

You are not considering how we play.
KP (or anyone) cannot be in the right position to stop 4 attackers he can only stop the most imminent threat. He does this very well with excellent positioning.
His lack of pace does mean if he gets it wrong initially he has limited to no recovery options but considering how when we have the ball we play 2-1-4-3 he does a remarkable job when we lose possession.

No one knows what’s in MB mind and that includes himself, we lost to Arsenal because he changed things made the wrong decision, didn’t play Pablo when he should have, that’s what you get with him unpredictable so you have to put up with it when we lose, simply really.

KP was immense in the burley game absolute class but every other game he is always at fault or at least normally at fault.

I would argue with the stats we concede with him and we concede with out him. either way we are the worst or second worst team in the league for every defensive stat and that doesn't change with him in or out of the team.

I think it says a lot that when Cooper doesn't play we seem stronger (statistically) and in my opinion (I don't have any stats to back this up) we seem a lot stronger with Sturijk in CB.

I honestly thought KP was a god against burnley but when in Dm he does cost us defensively which is why we are 19/ 20 in every area. This said against arsenal he was a huge miss and think he will be a huge miss against wolves.

There are a number of names that could play DM. Not upset the balance. Play to instructions. and not be dragged out of position. However I fear the Bielsa four word mantra "same team again lads. "

yeah Chris was on the set of my latest film the last heist with Terry stone and Perry benson. A top bloke and spent hours talking with me

I have just been commissioned to co-write a film about our very own Albert johanssen which is being backed by the f. a and p. f. a (and hopefully the club) and I was also talking at length with Chris about this project which he was very positive about.

great to meet a legend even if he is an arsenal fan!

Cheers Alf working with a Yorkshire man and life long Leeds fan Richard Clarke on the script. Would be amazing to tie my work in with Leeds and tell this great and important story.

With the greater game we had the pfa fa efl prem leauge and the club behind it. I spoke to fa yesterday and pfa and efl last week and they are all really keen so now just need Leeds and prem leauge to get behind this and think it will be huge

To see the Leeds fan base get behind a blm true story would be amazing could be a huge film and most importantly it will be filmed in Yorkshire so hopefully er and pubs will be open so I can have a drink in gifs county and finally see Leeds win After an 18 year wait.
